Oh my gosh - 81 degrees already? That’s robbery of your winter - even us in Texas (Houston = satan’s armpit) isn’t that warm/hot yet… I’d be so sad, I’m trying to cram all my winter ones in as fast as possible.
I actually spoke too quickly and we’ve had some cold days again since I filmed. The weather in here is bipolar I guess. 😆
I get so affected by the weather too 😂 I always feel out of sync from where I am supposed to be.

I need to contain my excitement to reach for my spring fragrances. It's still cold here and I should go with the deeper wintery ones while I still can, it will be warm soon enough and I can enjoy those then. The temptation is really though... I'm over winter. 😂

I’ve found from Jan/Feb til April, layering my super gourmands with my florals helps get over the boredom/itch to switch to Spring

Ani, Velvet Tonka and Oriana have been some of my faves lately, as well! It’s been back and forth between cold and warm in NY (warm being 45 degrees- that’s warm for NY winter!) and these 3 have worked well.
Yea my bottle of Baklava Royale started out so feminine!!! And it is still is a feminine fragrance but it is was more musky-woody than it was when I first opened it! I thought this was going to be one for the Spring & Summer-times, warmer weather but it's proving to be heavier than I initially thought. Still a LOVE!! It's fantastic ♡
Bought a sample of Pink Me Up based on your earlier review and love it! I imagine wearing it after a shower or in our Texas heat in a few months. It definitely is fresh and effervescent!!

OMG I wore Happy Dust today and it did get more potent ( I have not worn it since it December) . Also , it seems to blossom in the warmer weather and body heat. Thanks for sharing the update on the performance 🎭
I so understand how you feel. I'm in Charlotte and I also crave my heavier scents in Sept. and into Oct. when it's still too hot and then, by mid-January, I HAVE to start wearing citruses and springtime scents. Makes for a very short cold-weather perfume season. 💜

I am the opposite I rediscovered l'interdit, I only got a small bottle a few years ago but as the perfume ages it's getting more addictif I found
I live in Florida so I understand what you mean with craving spring perfumes already. We don’t get cold for long and I just can’t wear gourmands in the Florida heat. And pas ce soir makes a great signature scent here. I wear it often and also have no performance issues.

I totally get what you're saying about Khaltat Night. Fragrances with cinnamon, I tend to wear from November to early January. I've been eyeing my Flowerbomb Nectar, but it's not quite warm enough yet. I wore Velvet Tonka yesterday and it felt amazing! ❤

It was randomly super warm here in MD recently right after a snowstorm LOL! I’m definitely planning on reaching for Oriana when it’s randomly warm again 🤣🤣

In CO where I live we are like many places, warm like 60 (which feels warmer here because of elevation) one day then 30 and snowing the next day. Which is literally happening this week outside in tshirts yesterday and expecting several inches of snow starting today. It’s fun though and I get to wear a lot of variety of perfumes.
My brain is apparently incapable of switching back and forth 😂

I pulled out my flower bomb nectar this month too and really enjoyed it. And yes pas ce soir is lovely and I can wear it all year. That and pink me up are on my 2024 buy list. They are happy fragrances to me.
I also enjoy my starlight and la capitale this time of year. And a newer acquisition I’m enjoying is shunkoin.

Jackie I’m with ya on the heavy spicy gourmands! I’m in AZ 🌵and it’s been 80 ☀️ here the last two days. I’m just not in the mood for the heavy stuff anymore. Today I’m testing Floraiku Volcanic Flowers and holy moly it’s gorgeous 🤩 Hard to explain (many notes) and a hint of a gourmand feel, but also fresh? Have you ever smelled it? Yep both L’Interdit Rouge and Pas Ce Soir are beauties and big loves of mine 💞

We had an 80 degree day earlier this week. Definitely mid to high 70s the rest of the week.
I’m definitely in the ‘no to Amberwood’ camp. Very sad. At least I know now to avoid the note.

I enjoy BDK fragrances, have quite a few, and pas ce soir is sooo good! I agree the CH very good girl is one of their best flankers. Come Feb I start with my chocolates but I know you don’t love that note. I’ve been layering rouge smoking with lost cherry and it’s heaven! I like baklava royale but it’s changing. I’m putting pink me up on my maybe list, but I have 2 from that house and I don’t love either.
I like chocolate as long as it is mixed with other things. Straight chocolate isn’t always my thing. I do love chocolate greedy by Montale though. There is no method to my madness 😆

Hi Jacky! Love love love those fruity florals and one of my 10 for life is Pas ce soir for shute. I think you might like Moonlight by Pana Dora. Hefty pricetag but so worth it. It’s a sweet fruity floral with a hint of white chocolate. Yummy! Lots of love and good vibes!🌈💐🌺

I’m definitely ready for a change. It actually got cold again and is currently in 47 degrees outside but I’m still not wanting gourmands. Over it I guess (for now)

It’s interesting to think of Navitus as having a DNA when it has so many different perfumers. But the gourmands do seem to have an underlying commonality among them. I don’t know what that note smells like specifically but now I’m curious to find out!
Many houses have a common dna. Chanel, Tiziana Terenzi, Montale etc… it’s just kind of a signature if you will. There’s an underlying middle eastern musky woodiness (I think amber wood) that the house uses often. It’s definitely an interesting topic! Thanks for watching. ❤️

Ms Jax I listen to u and other fragrance video creators and I see you all are into seasonal fragrances. I really cant say I go by seasons because I just wanna wear what I wanna wear but I am definitely learning from yall. I know I dont like summer fragrances according to you all, cause I just hate bright and vibrant fragrances. In the summer I will spray the fragrance on my clothes instead of my skin to keep it from being to heavy. I would love to see a video where u just wear a fragrance all year long like Ambrosia Imperiale or Velvet Tonka 😂.

Oriana was my first niche blind buy, got the 1 ounce and I thought it was just OK. I thought I preferred love don’t be shy, I had a little tester of that but now Oriana is one of my favorites can’t get enough of it love it I’m also fan of orange blossom and marshmallow. really want to try. La Capitale.
I got a 10ml from the split scent of pink me up. I like it I like the raspberry in it but yeah I didn’t feel it was super special. Of course my Lil 10 ML doesn’t have gold flakes and a pretty pink bottle , that would probably give me different feelings😅

Idk I haven’t tried it yet. I don’t have a lot of luck with nest perfumes. They never seem to last on me. I definitely need to give it a sniff though.
I live in the uk and its been cold/mild i do a weekly tray of perfumes that way i get to use all my perfumes 10 a month for me would bore me x

Hi Jackie, love watching your monthly trays. I know you love Mon Guerlain Intense. Lately I’ve been annoyed finding Jasmine in what seems like almost every drugstore fragrance - to my nose, sometimes this smells cheap or like a shopping mall toilet. Would you say you can smell Jasmine in this fragrance? Also does this fragrance smell cheap to you and have that typical underlying drugstore DNA? I know I should sample before I buy. There are no testers around where I live so should get a sample online.

So many fragrances that sometimes some faves get neglected. My Donna BIR is now a bedtime scent. The thing is, I bought it for my mom first and I was smelling it on her for a year. Now that I have it, it no longer has the same appeal to me. The sense of novelty is gone.

OMG Pas Ce Soir seems like it would be a total crowd pleaser!! I'm surprised so many people don't seem to like it but perfume is so polarizing 😅
Yes I think they are similar. Not 1:1 definitely differences but if you love one there’s a good chance you’ll love the other.
It is Amber wood -and with those high amounts it triggers my anosmia, which is very unfortunate because I can’t use anything from that house. I’ve tried.
Yes the amber wood is strong with them. I adore amber wood so it works for me, but definitely not for everyone.
I wanted to love La Capitale, but the leather note was a bit much for me. Any recommendations for the same strawberry vibe minus any leather or oud notes?
SHL venom Incarnat doesn’t have oud but does have leather. However it’s less to my nose than la capitale. Get a sample and see what you think 💕

I tested velvet tonka and I love it, it is on my wish list but I tried pas soire and it is a no go for me the quince is too sharp and cloying
I felt like the commonality was the musk in navitus
I too have noticed that perfumes that sit for a few months tend to change a bit, do you know why that is? Also you never speak of jimmi choo or least I havent see it, what do you think of that line?
It’s because some notes age well, like vanilla. It gets darker deeper stronger etc…. I have 1 JC called vanilla love. Haven’t tried much from the house.
