Thanks for the amazing review! Do you happen to know if there are any beaches nearby? We're gonna be there soon too, just for a few hours docking, and were thinking to enjoy both the old town and a beach ⛱️
@paulkalak There are some small beaches, but you may need to pay a hotel a fee to use them. If you want to get on the water, we had friends on the ship who did the Blue Cave Tour and really enjoyed it. Here is a link where you can book tours, hopefully it will be helpful for you. www.viator.com/Kotor-tours/Half-day-Tours/d23078-g12-c95?pid=P00071253&uid=U00221762&mcid=58086¤cy=USD
Great review. This is one of the cruises I have shortlisted. I think balconies are great but they're expensive, especially, if you're a solo cruiser. Personally, I would recommend using the public decks on the ship to see the awesome scenery. It is not as private but it certainly does work for the budget traveler!
@eternalvase Good point. We have been spoiled with balconies but there are times when we still go in inside cabins. They certainly can help stretch a budget!
Just booked a cruise to this amazing country yesterday...... how far is by walk from the port to the part where the shops are..... any idea is there a hop on hop off bus nearby?
Not sure about the hop on hop off bus. It's a tender port. The Old city pretty much right across the street from where they drop you off and pick you up. Not much of a walk at all. Enjoy your cruise!
@@PolarisTravelExperts it probably felt like 1200 m lol. I only checked because I wanted to see if we could do it… you made it sound so amazing. Thanks again!!
Excellent question. We ventured out on our own. The old town is very easy to find from where the cruise line drops you off on the tender. There were other excursions you could do. If you need help, please reach out to us. Our team will be happy to assist. We don't charge and the suppliers match their online pricing for us if you do want to look at structured excursions.
It's a tender port, so all the tenders drop you off right by the old portion which is where our video is focused. Probably a 2 block walk to reach the entrance.
Great review. Thanks. We're visiting Kotor soon on a cruise and our daughter's boyfriend grew up there, so we're excited to see it's beauty.
You will love it, have fun!

Hi, how long did you spend in Kotor to do all the things in your video. We are in Kotor from 9am until 5pm. Thank you
About the same amount of time.
Been there! Video is spot on!!!
Not many get to go to this port, but it is one I definitely want to go back to!
Great video… just freaked me out when you said 1200 m. I think you meant 1200 steps 😅
My bad, it's actually 280 meters. In my defense I tried to rehydrate 1part water 1part local beer so the details did get a little fuzzy. :)

Hello, did you join the shore excursion or venture out on your own? Thank you.

Hello, is the town walkable from the cruise port?

@@PolarisTravelExperts Thanks!! That's perfect!
Yp,the port/mooring is right next to town, a la video…
Great place except when large cruise ships are in port.
