Always love watching your videos, we loose some, we win some. That’s the part of living this hobby we all love to do. Appreciate the truthfulness. Thanks for sharing.
@@je3-notjustadad 100% agree, thanks for watching
I really appreciate your honesty Troy about trying to low ball dealers/sellers. I always thought it must be some pre hand shake deal these UA-camrs do at shows by offering 60-75% of comps. I know there’s content already out there about how to buy at shows and you do a good job demonstrating that in your show videos but maybe a video tutorial done by you could be refreshingly new. Also happy to know you’re pinoy. Always trying to support us Asians.
@@Insidethepark24 yeah idk what goes on but getting dealers at 60% is just crazy
Good idea for a video as well
@@TRIKE415SportsCardswould be a great video
Thanks for not only showing the ups but also the downs by going to shows and just how it works. I think a lot of creators only show the big buys, the 'finessing' and making money.
Always buy rookie QBs and then dump them before the season starts, unless it's an obvious stud like Stroud. I bought an Anthony Richardson auto a couple of months before the season started and then sold it for a $15 profit. I wanted to get more, but I REALLY didn't want to be holding that card once the season started.
@@DerethAC definitely, holding into the season is always risky
All that trouble and stressing for only $15 profit lol, card hobby isn't even about collecting anymore smh. Just full of middle aged men trying to rip off everyone they can.
@@icy_mac There's no trouble or stressing. I flip stuff and I also collect stuff for my PC. It isn't an either/or thing. You can collect AND make money at the same time.
Great vid Troy! Appreciate the honesty, good to show all sides of the hobby. So much to be learnt from this one!
@@aynsgray thanks for watching!
That first table I did a pretty big deal with when I was there. He had some steals in his boxes behind the table. If you see him again I recommend taking a peak behind his table if you find the time.
Love it when an unaccomplished players card sells for more than a generational established talent.
You gotta silence the GoPro on/off beep! I make ski videos and we’re outside and people turn and look. Inside a show you may as well blow a fog horn …
It wasn't too bad, rookie mistakes. How did you do on the Jordan sticker? I have one ungraded but looks like a 9
I was drunk playing video games with my buddies while bidding on Ebay auctions. Woke up forgot what I won haha. Picked up a Cason Wallace /149 Purple ice, Anthony Black red sparkle, Amen Ruby Wave, my best buy was a Brice Sensabaugh Prizm Orange /49 for only 27 bucks. Sensabaugh is way undervalued imo he went from playing no minutes all season then the last two months he was averaging 23 minutes and 10 points per game. Getting the premium rookie cards of low end guys playing big minutes seems like a safe bet to me, these guys are only 20 years old, speculation will be going on for years, plus every high end card of a better player you have next to no chance at a PSA 10 because they looked that card over with a telescope.
AR is a tough deal, this years Desmond Ridder. Great video
Trying to make it with white getting good deals seems too risky to me
This business is definitely risky that's forsure
Great content, fairly new to the hobby, going to my first show this weekend. Keep on dealin! 🤙🏽
How do you find so many local card shows to go to? I’m in the Sacramento area and love going to shows but I can never find them! Also are you going to the Sacramento card show on October 18-20 at the convention center? I’ll be there and I’d hope to make a deal with you
@@Nothingness25 @theshowlocator to find shows on IG. Should be there at that Sacramento show!
is arena club considered good for grading? or do people not like it much?
What app are you using to check comps on cards?
Great video!!!
Why would you buy over comps obviously you’d lose money lol
Tough loss Troy!
It's alright, all part of the process!
