I'm right with you on the new bolt thing, especially the nice yellow phosphate zinc plated grade 8's, lol. I love having new hardware that has anti-seize on it so the next time I have to work on it there isn't a rusty crusty nut and bolt that doesn't want to come apart. Besides, it just gives a project a nice finished look, unlike when everything is sprayed with paint including the bolts. Awesome job as always Austin!
Your right on, I go to the Wreaking yard and remove buckets of bolts off Toyota’s then take them to the zinc platers, gold zinc is my choice. Then I separate them into trays I’m like my own Toyota parts supplier,
I live on the gulf coast in galveston county. Everything rusts here so everything i build is heavily painted, greased, antisiezed, and sprayed down with wd40. Its nice to not have to deal with corrosion in the future
Great quick build! I really like the detail you put into the build. Not to perfection, but very well thought through and thorough. This is the only video out of dozens on UA-cam on “mini truck snow plow mount” that shows thought and detail in how to mount a plow solid and not some half baked front hitch adaptation. Fantastic mount! I just recently imported a 96 4x4 Suzuki in very nice shape that I’m going to do similar work to. I also, at the same time imported a 91 Hiace diesel quad cab 4x4 that is…..not as nice, but “AWESOME!” Keep up the inspiring content!! Good luck the back injury healing!
Just awesome... my dad had the Mitsubishi panel look alike to this (L100), still does but the body's totalled and i always dreamt of making it a 4×4.... Great job !! Can't wait for those custom bumpers and winch.
Im like you , new bolts make the project your doing feel that much better and new. I just showed my son and asked if he would lime a truck like that for his first vehicle.
Good job. The video sequences where you were cutting and welding were especially well done. BTW, I like new bolts as well, maybe not as much as you, but they're cool.
i am watching this out of order, but i always appreciate new bolts and fresh paint. nice work as always. glad you film this stuff, and do such a great job doing it.
That's a cool little project. I plow every year all snow season residential and commercial. My personal opinion would be to install a ram from directional control. You will have to do alot of forward and reserve to chase drifts if you dont.
Looking good Mr Plow , I too am a purveyor of new bolts and hardware 👍 oh and I see you are still using that abrasive cut off saw , give yourself a Christmas present and buy a cold saw , you will appreciate the quality of the cuts and not having to change blades as often as those discs 👍👍
I'm with you on the new nuts and bolts. Your fabricating skills are par excellence. I agree about the weight, I think you said your replacing the front springs. I was really happy to see a guest appearance of Mr. Claw. Hope people still get a clenched butt when you bring out a framing hammer to work metal. :)
I mounted that same exact plow to my 1025R tractor using a custom mount that goes on the loader. It hasn't held up very well. The plow bent when the mount bolts to it. The metal locking lever that holds it it's angle snapped in half. I've been doing a lot of welding and fabricating to keep it working--and it's been ok after my repairs. Hope you have better luck.
The channel has grown quiet a bit now. I think it's time you buy some power hand tools. Milwaukee's cordless ratchet and right angel impact wrench is a must. U put a lot of pressure on your back sometimes working on weird angels without any power tools.
Great shop,..even greater skills. You are a very resourcefull man. I'm sure you already know this but I will strongly sugest you to use a mask when grinding/cutting indoors..
Hey I noticed you still have a stock ground clamp. Go to harbor freight and get a nice solid ground clamp. I promise you will notice a difference in how smooth the system welds. Mig is really sensitive to grounds.
Yeet another video that highlights your fab skills. 👍🏻. I’m really enjoying this build. I’m not trying to be an a hole or anything but…I sure hope you wear hearing protection so you don’t wind up like me and my family from years of owning and working a sawmill.
Good advice! After 10 years listening to impact guns, grinders, air hammers etc, I now have tinnitus as a constant companion. It sucks except for those times when people talk politics ; )
@@Steve-um5mm 🤣 yeah, comes in handy with politics. 👍🏻 I have tinnitus, too. Where it sucks the most is when deer hunting. That constant hum and ringing is beyond annoying. Not being able to hear those key sounds hunting an elusive animal make it tough. I could kick myself for not taking better care of my ears.
Looking good but I think you need to reinforce the plow mount to the frame. I built lots of truck mounts and seen frame damage from to little reinforcement. Bigger bolts and you need to grab more of the frame rail. Maybe gussets from around the lower control arm.
i'd like to see a bed liner ''camo'' paint job on yer mini. I always wanted one of those when they first started sellin them around here(Mississippi) but I'm way too big to fit in the cab,,,,lol
Nice welds. Are you at all concerned with the areas you mounted to? Everything to do with the plow is very heavy gauge steel. You then mount all that HD stuff to the sheet metal frame. I’d take the bumper off from the start and build a complete subframe with more mounting points.
Is that gonna need any wheel weights? I used to have a plow on a John deere and it came with weights that bolted on the wheel lugs. Maybe that thing has better weight distribution?
Mate crush tubes and caps sanded to a mirror finish you sir are a tradesman of the highest order. And No it’s not weird enjoying buying bolts it’s completely normal.
You may need to add a bowl bar with light mounts. Just so you can see pastor snow plow. Or you can add a light bar to the top of the build. Let me know what you think 🤔
Nice Fab work on that plow 👍 I just subscribed, looking forward to seeing more mini truck content. I just installed some 13” rims from a Geo metro and ordered some 13” DOT MT tires from EBay, I definitely like them so far. I should have a video posted soon about tire diameter and there effects on gearing on these little trucks. I’m interested to see what tires you bought.
@@austinniemela when I bought my truck it had 25” tires on it, they looked cool but really robbed the power and rubbed on the fenders. The new tires I bought are about 23” they feel much better.
Hey Austin, remember that time you bought a lift? Also, remember that time when you parked your mini-truck in between the lift arms? Just innocent questions bro! 😁👍🏼
I absolutely love videos like this. I really think you should build a bumper for this! Can't wait for snow to see how this thing works.
Love that truck ! You did a really great job on the plow mount
I'm so excited for this build keek it up

Sweet man! Thank you!
Btw you make some of the best truck build videos ive ever watched. Thank you
Thanks!!
Great job, looks like the original, add a winch and that's it.
Nice as always!
Greetings from Germany
If you did any hunting and use that rig I would say I had a dog box.
Just awesome... my dad had the Mitsubishi panel look alike to this (L100), still does but the body's totalled and i always dreamt of making it a 4×4.... Great job !!
Can't wait for those custom bumpers and winch.
Again clean build! Keep it up
if you build a winch bumper build two. your design and craftsmanship are awesome. Ill drive over and buy one from you!
This is a Master at work

Another great fabrication 👍👍
Nicely done My friend! Only way to go is fab your own product! Have a fantastic weekend
Daaaaang this is so cool! That's a great demonstration of your custom press brake, worked like a champ
Thanks! Yes it worked out great!
You inspire me so much and I hope to become like you are even better someday I love watching your videos
I wish I had half your skillz and tools!

A custom KiE truck bumper wound be awesome! 😎

Yes that’s definitely on the list of things to buy!!
Nice work as usual 👍
Your videos are great. I need to learn how to weld, you make things come to life.
Great work as usual 💯 loving this Suzuki content. 👌🏼
Awesome work on the mounts.
Nice video editing.
I agree that you do not need hydraulics.
Put some counter weights on the rear (salt sacks maybe? :D )
Lol 😂 it’s the little things that makes us happy 😃

Putting the press brake to use👌.
Great fabbin Haha on the bolts, yep good hardware is important and usually the old are fatigued
Mini trucks are interesting and this is a good use 👍

Thanks!
i'd like to see a bed liner ''camo'' paint job on yer mini. I always wanted one of those when they first started sellin them around here(Mississippi) but I'm way too big to fit in the cab,,,,lol
Nice job
A back pull plow would be cool
New bumper with some pod lights would be sick.
Nice job !!! might want think about adding a light bar if you do any plowing at nite
Hey Austin,
Love the build.
With the added weight in the front, will it require some ballast in the bed for balance and traction?
Thanks! I’ll probably throw a few sand bags in the back for some weight!
If you're going to need to build a bed rack maybe add some tool boxes
You might have to put sand bags on the back of the bed to get traction on the rear
I was thinking about doing the same thing to my Suzuki samurai or my sidekick/tracker 🤘😎
Powder coat everything you can. And use something like fluid film on the inside of the tubes.
I buy my bolts at tractor supply since they sale buy weight! Every time I go there I stock up.

+1 on new bolts.
I need one of these trucks

Austin, check for an accelerator pump issue and or a vaccum leak somewhere. I doubt that the jets have anything to do with an off idle flat spot.
👍👍👍👍

Not weird, everyone likes the icing on the cake. If not that makes them weird, not us.

Not weird at all to me man. I too am a big-time hardware snob! LOL
Awesome Video! By the way I’m curious how many times have you gotten into the left side of that mini truck instead of the right side? Lol
Haha more than I can count 😂
what guage is the frame your bolting it to? that would be my concern..your work is fine...just you could shear it off?..lol..maybe
Nope - not weird! 😆
👍🏽👍🏽
I was going to try the Harbor Freight special rivnut gun...how much did the Ebay one cost? Looks pretty good.
I have a link in description! I think it was around $40!
@@austinniemela yeah, that's a good price having the case and all. Tool looks way better quality. 🍻
Hi Austin ...
Wanted to say we got you as a followers on the Camron issue .
We all love you and wish you guys nothing but the best .
Thank you!!
question, I have a 2005 Suzuki Every could I put a plow on that? cause I'd like to it would look odd
Nice Fab work on that plow 👍

Yeah yeah it had to stay on the ground when I was mocking up the plow!!
Light weight bed not going to be an issue ?
Some old bags of 100lb cement or salt in the bed she”ll plow. Unless it’s like 3ft of snow I can see it not having enough onion under the seats.
Sand bags will help!
Wife’s on the way to hardware store to get a bag of nuts and bolts lol
LINEAR ACTUATOR....12 VOLT LIFT AND PUSH controlled from Cab ...🤔
A LED Lightbar on the Roof ?
Andarilho
Ya build winch a bumper
There is another UA-camr that used a jeep bumper his channel is Moto cheese he just supercharged his mini truck
How come? 🤔 at the beginning?? you drove truck in..then dragged the plow in and around it?? wouldn't plow first ..then truck?? 😜
why lay on the concrete with a lift
