Omg what a coincidence that you recently commented in this video I wanted to say that before I preferred quick tutorials but now i love your method Y watched all the video and learned the tabs, but now I want all the song to remember the rhythm quickly and it's too handy. Thank you so much Cheers from Mendoza
Used this to play We Shall Sail Together from Sea Of Thieves! Fun fact is that if you listen to it carefully, it's slowed down drunken sailor. Thanks dude!
Hey, just found this and practiced for an hour, total beginner and it sounds amazing on my Banjolele!! Lots of stops and starts but in a few days I'm sure I'll have it. Thanks so much. NOT TOO SLOW, just right for beginners!
Gosh, it so nice to play ukulele after years of classical guitar, it’s such an easy instrument and the most satisfying thing is when you are not struggling to play well)
Great stuff! A solid, easy song that you can start off simple and build, round by round, by adding in more strings.. intensity... Speed .. foot tapping.. etc 😊 A smiling song!
Really great tutorial! Got my ukulele 3 days ago and this is the first song I want to learn. So far I can memorize the picking parts but I have a bit of a problem with changing the fingers on time 😅
Thank you very much Matt. Clear instructions, enjoyed a lot to learn it as my first ukulele song. You have the best version out there. Keep up with the sea shanties.
Such an easy tutorial! Loved it so much, it’s been very hard learning how to finger pick and you went step through step with it. Now I can bring my ukulele to the renascence fair! 😊
I love your tutorials because you’re the only person who’s doing specifically Celtic, Irish, and similar songs that I really love! I have a dilemma though. I have made my soprano ukulele into a mandolele so now it’s GDAE. How do I go about transposing your tabs so that I can play them?
Unfortunately, it’s not going to be an easy task. Tuning in 5th like a mandolin makes the instrument play completely differently. I’d recommend trying it with a standard GCEA tuning. (The GDAE sounds like a blast to try out though!)
How far did you watch? I've learned many songs. He is very thorough. I recommend you try again. He plays it first, then the lesson. I promise you will be happy

Where do I get the 2 other parts of this song?
Is that a custom Kanile'a with numbered inlays instead of dots? Also, white size is it?
Its is! It’s a tenor.

Hi matt, i wanted to ask about using your piney finger as an anchor, i found it to hurt fast, do you have any tips ?
It's not necessary to use the pinky as an anchor, so try practicing without it! :)
Mine used to hurt to but in time playing like that my pinky got used to it and it relaxes a bit more.
Thank you
Thanks
Niiicce Tutorial!
is that a soprano? my ukulele sounds different
It's a high G tenor. :)
Anyone else here trying to find sea shanties because of lesbian pirate sea shanty tiktok? ...the fact that that’s a thing makes me so happy.
What key is this in?
D Minor
Thank you :)
I'm sure you've been asked this but, what model uke are you using?
It’s a custom Tenor Kanile’a!

Your comment doesn't make any sense. Do you mean Uganda? And do you mean the 70s? And what does this have to do with anything?
