Quick update for those who are enjoying this thus far. We're planning to release 2 episodes a week, Monday & Thursday at 5pm Eastern. So, hopefully that keeps you coming back to the madness and mayhem! :) Thank you for all the support on the series so far! I hope you get a chance to play yourselves!
lmao you stuck with me i will only buy one game this year and it will be Space Marine 2 but Baldur's Gate 3 might get me to renege on my New Years Resolution .
@@texus835 We are in Act 3 and still recording, probably about 120ish episodes recorded so far total, more to upload soon. The whole thing is a 4 player let's play. I believe @ColonelRPG did a solo let's play already through the game. Also, we have folks that are back and forth about I'm a jerk, Colonel's an idiot, and on and on...we do bicker quite a bit in the beginning, but it does smooth out eventually. It's not for everyone, but hopefully you enjoy it. (The playlist to the series so far is in the description of the video!)
@@BumpyMcSquigums Thank you for the answer, I might have mistaken that problem with another project, because I actually think it was bloomtown that looked dead suddenly, but it must have been pretty stressfull for me to not remember right. Anyway sounds good. Somehow it looks less weird and tiny when you watch, I'M currently testing the game
"I need to charm animals so i can eat them easier" 👏 I need to become a necromancer so i can bring all the cute animals back to life and have cute undead friends. Similar vibes but reverse disturbances :)
For those of you who are new to the amazing work that Larian does, and you want to check out some of their other stuff, I highly recommend Divinity: Original Sin 2. I personally think that it's, not only the best game I've ever played, but quite possibly the best game ever made. Subjective, of course, but definitely worth checking out if you have enjoyed Baldur's Gate 3 so far. Colonel RPG invited me along to go on that adventure with him 5 years ago. While maddening at times, it was still quite the journey! Feel free to check out all our struggles here: ua-cam.com/video/fxGgLIvzkSI/v-deo.html
@@ZeallustImmortal No. There are references to the first game, but nothing that requires playing the first game to understand the second. It also has a huge array of mods available as well. It's also one of the few games to actually let you play as an undead character.
For me, I just end up remembering what Intellect Devourers can do in the "tabletop" version of D&D, and I'm just like: "Nope! That thing is not surviving if I have a say in the matter!" The reason? They have an ability that if successful results in _instant death_ (no death saving throws or anything, just dead on the spot with no chance for allies to prevent it or save the victim) for the victim and also turns their victim against the party permanently. This is because an Intellect Devourer can teleport into their victim's skull and consume their brain in the process, which kills them on the spot, and then the Intellect Devourer can just puppeteer their body and use _all_ of their abilities against it's remaining enemies.
Oh, this is going to be interesting! I have no idea of what to expect from this game, difficulty-wise, but having a party that is not 'pre-optimized to handle any challange' should make this an enjoyable run for us all. Or an infuriating run for you, and an enjoyable run for us, the audience. :D Now, to watch the video. (edit): Also, I hope that the game doesn't expect you to min/max every character to beat the last quarter of the game, it is not fun to figure that out after already having played for 100+ hours (Colonel can probably regale you with the tales of what can happen in Pathfinder: Kingmaker when players make sub-optimal choices).
The game allows you to respec a character (and even change their class) pretty much at any time for just a small sum of Gold. So it's actually not that big of an issue.
Hah, im playing Dark Urge as a Dragonborn Paladin =) i just finished the tutorial :D Frankly the 4 Clerics or 4 Mages part... i expect you to play barb or maybe warry or ranger... What i expect: Party Comissar probably as a cleric or paladin, Mutanat as the smartass Mage or Wizard (int/cha, dont know if thats the proper terms for english) CRPG as some goofy druid or maybe a Bard and like i said, you as a berserker or warry. All this is written before the reveal. Btw, the "Dark Urge" is a Custom char with a bit on top
You know my heart Ontrose! I wanted the Barbarian, but I opted for a potentially "safer" route. However, we are now, possibly, a bit damage light. We'll see if it can all come together.
The intellect devourer that you killed in the second room could have been made into a temporary companion if you freed it and then poked it to make it more submissive
Baldurs gate 3 was my first experience with dungeons and dragons. Watching this video reminded me of the kind of people that play d&d and made me thankful i avoided it until now
You mean with friends? Yeah I could see why that would be a problem for you based on your comment. Maybe one day. Regardless, I'm glad you grabbed Baldur's Gate 3, played it, and hopefully enjoyed it as well. Tis a fantastic game, even if you have to play solo. They invented some incredible friends to accompany you on your adventure at least, so there's that! 🥰
Indeed, and many years to come! I mean until it's controlled by telekinesis, telepathy, some other mind power, or maybe a thought sensor. I don't think we're really there yet though.

You have a hexagonal grid! they're just very very very small hexagons
Very small Hexagons indeed!
There's a joke about ngons in there somewhere. I'm just not smart enough to make it haha.
@@ElysetheEeveeYou shouldn't have blinked

Let's gooo!!
I've TPKed an entire first level party with a single Intellect Devourer.
I want to do this but I don’t have friends
