  • Inversions are a big part of the AcroYoga training.
In this video you will find 2 reachable versions of inversions for beginners: candle stick and shoulder stand.

Noga, I personally believe that shoulderstand is an intermediate pose and should entered with extreme caution. However, I appreciate how your video includes a tripod Shoulderstand as a progression and also that you had a segment on spotting at the end. here are my notes for Shoulderstand:Candle/Shoulderstand from Bird
    C-rashes
! falling backwards away from base
! collapsing onto base’s face or ribs
    B-reakdown techniques
    For bases:
$ walk/wiggle your feet to her lower thighs
$ micro bend the elbows to get your flyer in position
$ slowly guide flyer towards you with your feet
$ instead of thumbs to clavicle, cup hands
    For flyers:
$ make a poop face (keeps your core tight and smiling for the cameras)
$ double stag, to bunny ears, to arm extension
$ press base’s ankles away (extend arms)
$ press base’s ankles down towards their knees, this helps
$ transition to a straddle pike and point your toes to the ground (again, keeps you tight and nice for photos) to transition back to folded leaf
    A-ssential progressions:
    For bases:
$ solo pushups 5-10 times or tuck sit holds 5-10 seconds $ tripod shoulderstand on L-base
$ folded leaf to assisted candle and back 5-10 times
$ assisted candle presses 5-10 times
    For flyers:
$ tripod headstand on ground (transition from tucked, double stag, pencil, straddle piked) 5-10 times
    $ headstand twist out
$ assisted candle (lower thigh to base’s foot)
    # Spotting notes: spot this from knees to the side of the base's head, with my outside arm (arm nearest the head) on the far shoulder. You can then directly influence where the shoulders are in space, as well as provide immediate lifting force to the shoulders as soon as there is a fall. inside arm (nearest base's hip) can assist the flyer's hips if needed, or if they're going over. Do not spot this standing! It is much harder to adequately impede a quickly falling flyer. (spotting tips courtesy of Chris Cox)

      Thank you!
I had to choose what to write because there was not a lot of space to write.
About not spotting standing I disagree but I appreciate your notes!
      Thank you
