I like you’ll enjoy “The Groove - Muse Live in 2015”. It’s super groovy and uses lots of Octave effects! Guitar too was dipped in molten copper for a really cool finish.
Hey man, can't wait for this. I have to be honest, in 2009 I was waiting for another slightly evolved Black Holes & Revelations. No one knew back then how much Muse could change and that, along with people generally confusing big changes with something irreversible or the inabilty to stay the same was the start of Muse being overly criticised for every new accent they pull up until today. From album no. 1 up until BH&R it looked like Muse had shown us the way they're heading so to speak. But they hadn't. In hindsight, The Resistance is a wonderful record, very pure, sweet, ambitious, naive and suprisingly creative. It's one if their best. And the heavy accent this time is classical music or classical instruments or both. I was just 24 and I was...confused. no more psychotic epicness? We're done with "I don't love you anymore" after four albums? But in hindsight it's amazing and my daughter who's 13 and Queen fan will get the album as her introduction to Muse. Sorry for the long text, anyway, Unnatural Selection was way too tame and bluesy for me, I wanted New Born, Stockholm Syndrome and Assassin at 24. I'll actually hear it again after at least 10 years and can't remember ever hearing any live recording, so I'm excited. Thx as always, your vids are great and I'm still watching the non Muse ones most of the time too. Cheers :)
Ok, really cool to hear it again, having it more raw sounding than the studio version is great and the vocals here, especially the choruses, are my favourite aspect after that solo, that was amazing. I would put this on to convince a fan of heavier 70's blues stuff. This will be more appreciated from now on. The solo reminds me of something you would discocer on one of those old vynils my best friend and me would buy as teens at that shady record store "Aftermath" in our home town that smelled like cigarettes, going "this is awesome, who's that?" and it would be Deep Purple or something. Actually many songs on that Resistance album feel up to 50+ years old. Thx as always, Brian!
