Rublev was clueless on return. He didn't know how to read it, and instead either just guessed randomly or kept leaning on one side and Comesana had a field day with the sides that Rublev hardly ever chose. He's in such bad form, he forgot how to position himself for returns.

@@jackbotkin4801I agree and I think most people do. It doesn’t take a genius coach to see that Rublev loses mainly because of a one dimensional game and lack of mental strength. He has not improved on his gamestyle much in the last two years, but i think when he finds himself at peace again and does focus on the narrow details of his game, he will be a menace to beat.
Rublev is a lost cause. He may reach a Slam Semi-Final at some point, and occasionally win a Masters, but I can’t see him breaking through at this rate. Solid Top 10 player, incapable of reaching Top 5.
Rublev's sickness during Madrid 2024 distracted him from emotional outbursts on the court. He had no energy to rant and rave, and only to play calculating tennis. Watch his post match interviews. He even said this. Rublev's issues are all mental. He needs a long break and a full time sports psychologist.
He is is a very talented player but emotionally. He’s really struggling and this is unacceptable , especially at Wimbledon. He needs some professional help. Rublev is a mental case. He's 26 and still acts like an angry 16-year-old. Never higher than 5th in the rankings, never better than quarterfinals at any of the four majors. He will forever be 'boy wonder' and never anything more than that.
But this guy got a violation discipline against him and people were defending him and the decision was overturned. That decision should NOT have been overturned. Perhaps by now, he will have taken steps to help manage his emotions. The thumbnail picture is really a bad look.
