Depends upon weather conditions. However, 1 LPD is enough on ALTERNATE DAYS.

How many litres (on average) would swiss chard grown in bags required per day? I'd like to set up a tunnel for tomatoes, but rotate with swiss chard.
you can fit more number of grow bags.. 3 columns together and then 3 ft distance.. this way you can fit more grow bags as well get proper aeriation

Yes why not You can water these with normal garden hose with a sprinkler. but this can only be done for small number of Growbags .

Where do the drain water from growbag goes?
We don't have much leachate. But we do wash the substrate with plain water once in a fortnight and that run off goes to the soil you can get that collected it also and sell it to farmer as fertilizer.
Small doubt, Just curious, how pollination happens in such closed environment?
Mostly we use self pollinating crops (Bell Pepper) or Parthenocarpic varieties (Cucumbers), other you can hand pollinate some (Muskmelon), blow air with exhaust fan (Strawberry), Shake the Plant (Tomato).

It is not required for grow bag system as you use Cocopeat as medium rather than Perlite or LECA.

normal sand grit 8mm or even smaller size if available. you can used broken or round.

It all depend on weather conditions i.e. Temp, Humidity, cloud cover, and age of Plant.

@@TheLeafHydroponicFarms in one acre around 6k (2 plant per grow bag) growbags would be there which will cost us around 3.5 lakh , right ? And i am having manual polyhouse with no automation so i have to install arrow drippers, growbags and give dose like i used to do through Venturi?
@@nipun829 It is fully automatic. No labour or attention required. will put-up a video shortly on drip irrigation system for Growbags.
@@nipun829 One acre 4000 square meter will support about 8000 grow bags and 16000 plants. about 4 lakh for the Growbags and another 4 lakh for drip irrigation and 1 lakh for the nursery depending upon which variety you want to use.
