Anyone Think A Dodge Dart SRT 4 Would've been cool?
of course!
Hell yeah
all you got to do is turbo the 2.4 and there it is would be a pretty badass car
Dodge Stratus SRT4 would of been cool, but I'm enjoying the dart.
Yep. I would’ve bought one.
With the 1.4L Multiair Turbo and 6 speed manual, it gets 27 city, 39 highway. Great fuel economy yet still packs a nice punch for it's size. My family just got one too and we absolutely love it. Highly recommend it if you're in the market for a compact sedan. Don't let the word compact scare you though. The Dart is bigger than some of the competition and is very roomy and comfortable inside. The back seat is a little tighter for taller people but that's no surprise.
What broke on your families Dodge dart?
Why does everyone hate these 😂 I love em

I love this car
Yeah Dart's are awesome
Cause it’s a rebadged Alfa Romeo Gulietta.
I love the darts. It’s an amazing car. I would get it for a daily driver.
I drive cars all day long for a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram dealer. (new AND all brands of used)
Out of all the economy cars I've driven the DART has the nicest quality interior.
Chrysler products in general have come a long way as far as the interior quality in the last few years and their U-Connect electronics is the easiest to use than any others I've tried to use. The 8.4 screen is HUGE and larger than any other brand that I've seen.
they have come a long way ever since Fiat bought them out. but i give them credit they are keeping it real...with this car, Hellcat challenger/charger/viper and SRT grand Cherokee. oh I've always liked the look of the new Durango. what's your favorite out of all the cars you drive?
Dodge missed an opportunity to make the Dodge Dart a nice 2 door coupe.
Or a mini muscle car; if such a thing can be done anymore.
Ahhh the fiat 500 abarth???
100th like lel
Or, of you think about it, they missed an opportunity to make it as good as the SRT 4
It's a neon
It's a neon
It's a neon
It's a N E O N
BigWheel Shhhhhh! Don’t tell them it’s a secret.
Excellent and thorough review Saabkyle, one of the best I've seen on you tube!
You're Reviews are the absolute best my man.
Kyle, you really make the best car reviews out there, keep up the good work dude!
Thinking of getting this car for my first, I love it 😍
Dodge and Ford really make the fashionable cars now. The Dart is based on a Alfa Romeo
i love the SHO Taurus just a beautiful well built car. as well as the dart. just wished the Taurus had a true manual
djevan 41598 no, the viaggo is based on this
Nah it’s pretty much a mini charger
And with Fiat engine
This is the video I've been looking for! No one has done such an in depth review like you. Thank to so much, I only wish you had done a model with the TFT display! I'm waiting for the R/T!
your reviews are wonderful!
I've been watching your videos for a while now Kyle and I really admire your dedication to reviewing cars. I trust your reviews and will probably be getting this Dart tomorrow! Cheers mate!
Lol how’d that Dodge Dart work out for you?????
i love that you take time out of your day to drive to south carolina just to provide us with good content. great video bro
Great review! I don't know what I like more- the review or the car!
This was a very amazing review! I wanted to see a Dodge Dart and it's features before I actually went to the dealership and bought one.
You touched on pretty much everything I had questions about!
Great review!
9.5/10
It’s been 7 years!!! How was the dart?
What a great review. Thanks, dude! This will be my next car, although I will wait for either the R/T or the SRT4 planned for next year.
I drive one of these but with Brass Monkey wheels, custom tint, and Metallic True Blue paint. Such a pretty car and I love the exhaust sound
My dream Dodge vehicle!! Terrific job bro.
I love the sound of the engine.
I really love the way the rear lights are integrated.
I enjoy watching saabkyle04's auto review videos: it is as if I went to the dealership myself. Good show.
Take delivery of my SXT auto tomorrow! Got the 2.0 litre engine! Couldn't be more excited! Dark slate metallic! Augh can't wait!
I love your reviews! You're like a walking encyclopedia for every car you review. I think you give out more facts than any salesman I ever encountered!
Anyway, in my years I never saw a Dodge that caught my attention, save for the Viper. Now Dodge has the Challenger, Charger and yes, even this Dart is a looker! I especially like the interior with the digital dash, smooth gauges, and the exhaust note is great for a stock four-banger. I hope Dodge delivers this with QUALITY, that is the key!
All of the darts of this year are broken
These are great first cars! I love them and they are very practical!
Totally agree with you! My family just got a Dart a week ago, Bright White Rallye with the manual and turbo with the black interior and red inserts on the doors. I've learned how to drive a manual on it and that car is a blast to drive! The 9 speaker Alpine stereo is the best I've ever heard in a car that's stock and the touch screen is so responsive and lightning fast. The best part about the Dart though is the way it drives like you said. I'm so impressed with it. Hope you enjoy yours!
Very good review, covers a lot of things. There are so many styling cues between this and my old Saab 9-3 Gen1, one of the reasons I like it so much.
Hey, great vid. I actually really love your walkthroughs, they are really detailled and informative. One of the best on youtube for sure :) just wondering if you could make a video of the 2013 cadillac xts and the 2013 infiniti jx. Thanks!
Another well done video and very impressive car for Dodge. My first two cars were the Dodge Dakota in 88 and the Dodge Stealth in 92. I thought I was done with Dodge but this is more than a little impressive and should appeal to a new buyer.
my cousin just got his dart today and he's loving it!! that car is so beast with the interior LED lights, touch screen radio, rear-view camera, and 180 horse power that it comes with plus with the turbocharge!! :D
Good review. Good camera angles also.
They fixed the neon, I just bought one it's awesome
You can't say negative things about the turbo until you've owned one, and experienced them. I have a '13 Turbo Rallye (same as in this video) and have had no issues with it. I personally think the turbo is the best motor to pick because it offers the most MPG and gives you way more torque than the 2.0 and 2.4.
AND it's fun to drive with the 6spd manual transmission. It's truly sad how many people don't even know HOW to drive a stick, let alone appreciate winding up a great engine like this in such a willing chassis.
Willing chassis, yes, but definitely a heavyweight. FCA designed the Dart to be more soft and cruiser-like (explaining how nice the cabin is as well as the sound insulation, in addition to the IRS)
I REALLY had been hoping that FCA would have released the SRT version this year, but unfortunately it's not.
masterwhopper414 Well, I finally drove one, and as much as I hate to say it, the lag from turbo and the weight of car vs hp was just awful. Not to mention the seats were very cheap feeling and not terribly comfortable. The Fiat Abarth is a GREAT car, but the Dart not so much.
I can see that, as the Abarth weighs at least 500 lbs less
masterwhopper414 Right. I'm not trying to badmouth the Dart, just being honest and talking as a car guy :)
Going to pick this exact car up tommorow can't wait
Great review my friend. Best one on You Tube.
I believe the limited trim allows for leather and a TFT screen gauge cluster which looks pretty damn impressive. You can also get HID headlamps on the limited so that seems to be the trim of choice.
Don't touch my dart!!!!!!
Excellent demo! Two thumbs up!
That was a first rate review. Great job.
I test drove this car as my first stick shift and I love the way it drives! The only problem is I couldn't find 3rd gear. Everytime I would switch from 2nd gear the car would go into 5th gear instead of 3rd.

Bought a base model SE w/2.0 w/6-speed manual a little over a year ago and just love it!!!
38-42MPG and goes thru anything!
After what I was told @ the dealership about $100+ oil changes on the 1.4w/turbo as well as not trusting of Turbos - glad I got what I did. Will not even "blink" to buy another one when my current one needs to be replaced but so far - awesome car and one of the best I have owned! Highly recommend the Dart but with 2.0 or 2.4 and not the 1.4 Turbo. I also love the manual transmission but not for everyone.
MarlinMR7 AT what speed on the highway are you achieving 38-42 MPG??
I like to set the cruise to 70MPH when I'm trying to get good MPG, less would be better but I can't stand to drive slower than that on the highway........unless the speed limit is 55 then I go 65.
Motor City Man I usually drive 60-65 in my area but have recently been finding a few more gas stations that sell regular or mid-grade without the uneeded/horrible ethanol in them! The 38-42 I has now been more like 40-45 more recently. I also had the primary computer flashed to the latest version too.
One other note again is my is a base model - no cruise control. I was going to have it installed as an after market but found out I do not need it.
Love love my Dart and will hardly blink to buy another one when the time and need are there! Especially if I can get it again with the 2.0 and manual.
I pay 30 dollars for oil change.do it yourself.
Contra Vikes oil change is only $20-25 at the Chrysler dealer I go to,you're paying too much!
Also find another dealer, the one you are going to was lieing to you about a $100 plus oil change. Even with a Full synthetic oil it shouldn't be more than about $60. Nothing special about a Dart oil change!!
+Motor City Man 30 dollars is to much?haha, that's what it cost for synthetic oil and a filter.its like $7 a quart and if a dealer does that for you that's awesome because there not making any money off you then.the dealership here charges like 70 all said and done with taxes
Thanks for the very in depth review!
Thank you for the test! Great car, the car of the future!
Thinking bout coping one of these I want something fuel efficient but sporty at the same time I have a 08 civic ex which I love but I NEED POWER lol
Is this a good first car
It sure is! I got a Rallye Turbo like this one except mine's White with the black cloth interior and red inserts. It really does blow away the competition in terms of how it blends it's fuel economy and performance. I did drive a Limited with the 2.0L and the 6 speed dual clutch auto and that was an extremely smooth and quick shifting transmission. The 2.0L surprised me as well but the 1.4L has a nice torque advantage, and having the manual transmission with it makes it that much more fun!
Im in love with this car!
It's sad to see the Chrysler 200 and the Dodge dart go.
Can u review the dart gt with the 2.4L tigershark motor
I’m in a 10th gen civic si and I just got done racing one of these not sure if it was manual or auto but very fascinating that these come turbod. I heard his turbo clear as day and wasn’t sure if it was aftermarket or stock. very cool!
Awesome man! I work across the street at Fort Mill Hyundai, amazing seeing this on youtube..
17:30 Guess I know where I'm keeping all my paraphernalia
There's a rumor that there is going to be a small V6 put into this car with either 230 hp or 271.
Why don't they just make the Srt4?
I don't think you need 271 bhp in a car like this. But a 230 bhp v6 would be nice
Supposingly 300 hp and AWD. However after reading a few things about it, production for the new srt 4 might not be until 2016 or 2017.
I hope they do. If not though at least drop a small V6 in it.
Only problem I have with that is it will weigh the vehicle down more. But I agree.
I've ridden in both the R/T and V6 Challenger. Both engines are peppy but the torque in the V6 is only about half a fraction of what the V8. Still a fun car though.
I've had mine for a few months now. Red rallye with the 1.4 nd 6 speed. I'm madly in love with my car. Without comparing it to something ridiculous like an enzo or Corvette... this car is top notch. The Turbo has Great power. The car has amazing cornering.. the stock exhaust sounds amazing. The touch screen is definitely a very stylish option.. and very unique.. it is insanely affordable.. the race track tail lights are a very good eye catcher ;) the stock sound system sounds amazing and MPG!!!!
very in depth good review
And I say Hey...WHATS GOING ON
AntHraXUltran00blet lol
Yes its a 6-speed
Very nice review, Kyle! I like this Dart Rallye and the Chevy Cruze.
Perfect review thank you
Sounds identical to the Abarth😀
same motor :)
its just the basic trim interior. you want more then you have to pay more! remember this is a dodge dart not a cadillac. its designed for fuel economy and thats it.
very nice overview. thanks!
I think so. Nicest interior Ive seen in a compact class. They went all out.
Might be the same powerplant as the 500 Abarth, but we're looking at roughly 3,200 lbs curb weight here versus the Fiat's 2,600.
You are correct but the engine has a bump in torque compared to the Abarth. It puts out 184 lb/ft of torque at 2500 rpm, up from 170. Horsepower is the same though at 160. The car gets out of it's own way pretty well for something built more for economy. I own one with the manual so I can speak for it. They only offer the Turbo in the Aero model now though which is a shame if you ask me since mine is a Rallye. My local dealer said the 2.0L outsold the Turbo by a lot cause all of the magazines bitched about Turbo lag. The 2.0 Tigershark is a decent engine but the 2.4L is way more desirable with 24 more hp. It may not be as fuel efficient but I just drove one today with the manual and was blown away at how peppy it is, especially at low rpms.
My personal preference would be the 2.4L Tigershark with the conventional automatic. Not a fan of the clutch in the manuals on these. The few I've driven were rather sponge-y. Though really, if all goes according to the rumor mill and they put out an SRT with a turbo 2.4, I'll be sold.
Ben Bedwell I do agree with you that the clutch is a little on the spongey side. It's designed to be easy to drive and I get that but my clutch has more feel to it than the brand new one I drove with the 2.4L did. I've driven the automatic too and that drove great but I personally just don't like autos with 4 cylinders. They always feel slow to me compared to manuals and I feel like I have to really step on it to get any power out of it. But that might just be me since I'm used to driving V6s and V8s. I have been waiting for the Dart SRT model to come out but it's been put off for a few years by Dodge. Last I heard, it's coming in 2016 when the Dart in general will receive a refresh in styling.
Ben Bedwell Yeah but hopefully it doesn't have ALL the FIAT quality or lack of.......since FIAT was rated dead last at 30 when a research group rated the Top 30 auto manufacturers as far as quality!!
Ben Bedwell Yeah but more weight also means a more solid comfortable ride if it's your daily driver!!
If this thing lasts like an Alfa Romeo, I would much rather have this then a dull Corolla, boring Cruze..which is already being out dated imo, and the, not much personality Civic, even though I love Hondas. The Sentra and Dart would be hard, and maybe an Elantra.
I know this is an old comment but I think the Sentra is a very boring car personally. It's nicely equipped and the styling is pretty conservative, but it has no power especially with that CVT. It overall severely lacks personality and that youthful, fun to drive characteristic that I think it should have. The Elantra is good contender as is the Dart. I own a Dart so I'm partial to them but they really are fun and are full of personality. Dodge made an economy car with attitude. As a side note, everyone likes it! I've gotten so many compliments on it over the past two years of ownership. Fellow Dart owners in my area always wave or honk too which is cool.
Thanks for this post. I will have one with the 2.4. Have daughters that cant drive standerd shift. Looks like a great little car and a winner for dodge. Learned to drive in a dart. Many moons ago. Sure has changed. Love it.
BMW E36 M3. I've had it for a while now, and I'm still just as excited to drive it as I was the day I bought it.
Nice to see some american muscle.
+Redstoneprime316
Lol, was this sarcasm?
+Vegan Vapory LOL
italien muscle hhhhh it has a abarth fiat engine
Ok morons, time for class. This has a Fiat Abarth engine/transmission, and an Alfa Romeo Giulietta chassis. The rest is all Dodge.
Its heritage makes it american muscle
Turbos just scare the shit out of me. I don't care who makes it, it's like a 50/50 chance it will break early in the life of the car.
Complete bull shit.
Brandon Brown I hope your turbo never fails bud.
they will if you don't use synthetic oil.
Atmos Hope your engine never fails bub.
Danny13243 Thanks, me too, although there are a lot of nice cars out there lately...
i checked out 2 today in the lot... one of them the limited version was open i hopped in it... the interior is very very high quality, and i love the looks on the outside in person. Very nice car from dodge.
that car looks awesome
the red paint job really looks like shit when compared to the gray or white options.
Your opinion
thetreeshaveads White is bland, Red is exciting!
I want this car so freaking much!!!
Love these cars! I got a grey one not long after the video was posted.
Morning I followed your plan and my dad decided to buy me the M3! and a Mazda3 I said to my dad 'Dad can i have your Aston?'then he said I know what you want i will buy you the M3! and the Mazda3!!! THKS for the plan i am overjoyed! I will go to the dealership in the afternoon
This car seems really fun to drive!
Have had mine since July and absolutely love my royal blue Rallye. Very impressed with the ride, and the exhaust note is nice tone to hear! Was very standoffish at first, wasn't impressed with previous Dodge cars, but this blew me away. Drove the Mazda 3 and the ride and road noise was horrendous. Very happy with the Dart.
Do you still have the dart, and was it turbo? If so how would you rate it overall?
So Beautiful car ! i love it !
What a sweet "bark" from that exhaust!
I'm just watching this video today just because this might be my own car in the future.
I really like the look of the new dart
i love this car it feels great !
Kyle thank you for the dart video, I haven't been online in a while to view but I do have some catching up to do. Lol
I'm going to be honest, I was never into compact cars. But after watching this review, and then checking out the Dart at the auto show, this car has won me over. I may buy it.
Very nice video for a very nice car! I'm actually planning on buying one of these because I sell these and I can get an employee discount. I hope I can get one soon so I can enjoy it this Spring and Summer. Thanks for the great review, Kyle!
Lovely sound..
You are right, he is knowledgeable!
I'm in love -3 gosh that car is amazing! I want one sooo bad!!!!
holy shit that turbo at the beginning :O thats awesome!
I'M SO INLOVE OF THE DART R/T! UP THE VIDEO WITH DART R/T PLEASE DUDE I SEE IT
I had this car when it first came out love it
I have owned this car since 2013 as well, 2013 Ralleye 1.4 turbo liter in 6speed manual transmission. I have intensively used this vehicle and drove all over the US with it. PROS: super fun to drive, nice looking seats, good amount of space, very good MPG rating, and looks great. That's where it ends. CONS: the infotainment is garage, takes forever to connect with bluetooth on even the latest phones, the AC knob is straight ahead of the shifter, and if you even slightly touch it, it will turn on. Not pushing it in, but literally just gently it going to the left or right activates it, none of the push knob in and then twist, which causes the AC to turn on when not needed, more annoying that it sounds. Infotainment center will literally freeze and stop working if you connect an iPhone via the USB. Interior lights refuse to come on 2 years in of purchase date. Gearbox shift knob is connected to each gear using something that looks like a literal paperchip! This unfortunately broke and made the car unuseable until it was fixed, Dodge customer service was unhelpful on fixing this issue. They later said it will take up to 3 months for this paperclip to be sent to their dealership. Until then I had to purchase or rent another vehicle, what kind of nonsense service even after having warranty. After giving them a piece of my mind, it got fixed in two weeks. Later, the light-up dash failed, and started getting more and more issues coming left and right. Some which happened while driving and could have been fatal. Dodge refuses to care. I would steer clear from this vehicle, and my pals who own chargers have had similar issues along with the grand caravan and Dakota I personally own. I loved Dodge, but tired of the reliability. Before fingers get pointed, no I do not abuse my vehicles or drive them like an a hole, they are pampered and have been treated like kids, which is why even today I am not selling mine, but maybe that is also due to the fact that its resale value is a peanut. I am hanging on until EVs become mass produced and cheap and then this will be retiring.
love this car
Well done Chrysler. Well done. :D
I have a Dart Limited Turbo and it's awesome!
I'm in love!!! & under 20k of course in getting this!!!
I most definitely need to save some serious cash if I want one of these beauties. Well, now I know what car I'd want if I ever strike it rich! :)
Very impressed!
You are a good camera-man, camera-man
When I heard a Dart was coming out I had fond memories of my 74 Dodge Dart Sport and so I got a little excited. Then I saw it and went back to my fond memories instead.
