I think it was smart to not have the time on the screen, that kind of nerves that most speed runners have on good pace didn't seem to be a problem! It was especially cool that they realized it had to be sub 10 because it was day too.
main reason i dont use timer is it lags my device
I think when you run a lot you can sense you are on good pace.
The main reason I don't speedrun anymore is because my fingers get so sweaty and mess me up all the time.

7:35 correction: both leezaard and I had independently made methods to find the 4,4 coordinates of the stronghold by memorizing every set of coordinates. I still use this method and it saves 1-2s over sprinkz strats in some villages and 5-10s in villages where sprinkz strats are slower (savannah and tundra).

Tip: if the x and z coordinates are 4 more than a multiple of 16, then you are in the 4, 4 chunk coordinates
speedrunners gotta learn to do calculator speed math in their heads if they REALLY want to win

This was an amazing lucky run. The luck was not really emphasised by the creator of this content. Not only did he spawn in the perfect place but he spawned near a ruined portal in which he stuck it super lucky. He then, as observed by the creator, found a stronghold right under village. The runner then found a bastion and was increadibly lucky to get 8 rods from only 3 blazes, amazing. So that is, by my count, 5 to 6 extremely lucky events in one run. The runner also had the skill to take advantage of this luck. No easy thing on a hand held device. Great run, great video.

@@kpapi4355 I think everyone who knows even a bit about these things would be suspicious of this possibility in such a lucky run. That's why it surprised me that the creator of this content didn't draw more attention to all the lucky events. Of course, with the millions of games played there are going to be extraudinary events. The player does seem genuinely surpriised at his own success, not realizing that he had done an amazing run until he sees that it is still daylight of the same day. That kind of thing is hard, though not impossible, to fake. I guess, as with Dream's "lucky" run, it would take the scrutiny of the community to judge using statistical analysis to be sure. Good that the possiblity of cheating here is raised for the speed run community and to support the player as he is not a recognised speed runner. Thanks K Papi.

@@Draganism i dont know, as someone who played bedrock for about 6 years up until a few weeks ago when i got an old family computer running, rng with a looting 3 sword is insane, i have a clip where i got i think 12 rods from 4-5 blazes

If you are wondering on bedrock they have changed spawn areas a couple of months ago on the newer versions so you can spawn in deserts savannahs and masas so
that pearl throw to the fortress was beyond anything I can do i thought for sure he was dead! very smart man taking risks for great rewards like that!
Building on mobile seems so satisfactory, specially the portal part, that's the real kicker of the version, with a f3 type of screen it would be amazing for running

*stronghold gen refers to MC version 1.13-1.17. Since it is possible to spawn on top of a stronghold in some older versions and in 1.18+

@@incendium447 multiple streams and a known runner should be enough, kind of the reason why some runners The Weekly Thing has gone over, their runs have been denied due to lack of knowledge about them. Hopefully a known runner pulls the one in a trillion chance
it's not possible, we've already searched through every seed and the closest stronghold with a 12 eye on 1.16 is 200,000 blocks away.

Some ruined portal items are always the same on bedrock, there is a seed where it gives you a god apple every time

I once had a seed that spawned you on a ruined portal, next to a shipwreck, next to a village with enough obi to complete the portal and with a nether spawn 200 blocks from a fortress.

I played since the game first came out and yet I didn’t know crouching existed to help your falls. I started sprinting through the end and speed building without crouching without falling as my friends yelled at me in fear.

You can make underwater portals in Bedrock, just not in the newest versions. It's also much harder since you have to unwaterlog the door to make it.
Yes you can still do it consistently in like 10-15 seconds its just that getting lava+ a shipwreck with a chest and good loot is at least 15 times rarer than in java
When playing casually switching from bedrock to Java it was the biggest difference, I was able to walk around without falling through the world
No debug screen, no version switch, and opening only single world at a time. I think this should be considered "truly legit" speed run.

i've once spawned in a village in a mountain, and as it turns out, digging down, the Stronghold was right there. Cut in half by a mineshaft mind you.
Shame i didn't save the coords, but i saved screenshots.
I remember that when 1.14 came out most of the strongholds would generate under villages (in bedrock)

People might not believe me but once I started a random bedrock and I spawned on a side of a ravine with a village and stronghold
I started a speedrun I might be written in history of Minecraft speedrun
When he kills the golem, he only towers up 3 blocks, but on bedrock to be out of the golems reach you have to be up 4 blocks. Idk if it was changed or something, but that’s just something I noticed.

When I started playing when God apples were around the first Few generations of worlds I played on they were interesting I remember it fondly the very first one I spawned in a graveyard turned around and there was a Woodland mansion before they spawned and rooted forests and it was in a plane's biome I had no clue really about the game so I thought this was normal The Thing was ridiculous and for some reason I deleted it so sad I don't remember the coordinates for the world sad face😢
Don't the chunk borders start at 0,0 and increase from there at 16 block intervals which would make finding the borders pretty easy with a little math?
I’ve never played bedrock in my life, but at 8:30 why can’t they just use the coordinates already on screen? Those should be aligned with chunk borders right? So you could just get the remainder of dividing by 16 to get the chunk coordinate.
Am I missing something?
