John’s a really good vocalist but just doesn’t cut through like Chris....... vocally he always seems to lack that extra 30% to really carry the song ( with much love and respect)

Great great band! John is much more comfortable at this point. He kinda got thrown to the Lions in the beginning. So many songs to learn, he's nailing them without the aid of the music stand now! Magpie east coast November coming right up!
Is there singer always buried in the mix or do vocals just not pick up on phone mics very well? In the unlikely event I have a band anyone wants to listen to I will set up a camera and post the shows on youtube. I will then tell the audience to put up their phones, enjoy the show and check youtube in a coupe of days.
The drum sounds sticky,I bet the drummer of Black Crowes was superb.His drumming was pitticato ,groovy,and sounds dry,clear. I think Chris Robinson made a big mess He lost the amazing awesome drummer instead of having big money. Original members were awesome more than now.
