00:01:01 i can answer your question. it's because the ratio between the notes has small numbers, like the frequency difference from F to Bb is 2/3, F being 2 and 3 being Bb means that our ears then do not hear a lot of chaotic noise, but instead, the sound fits together and it plays at the same time.

1:37 "No, [I didn't practice,] I'm Hoodie Guy." This quote confirms the fact that he is so well known for his questionable habits, everyone in the Daniel Thrasher universe is universally familiar with the term, espacally the way it is said in such a casual tone.
Relatable. I've always struggled with sheetmusic, but can play by ear. I remember my teacher realizing that I was just playing the songs from memory rather than actually reading the sheet music. Too bad I don't practice... Might could have been as good as Daniel Thrasher, but my laziness outweighs my talent.
I know how this feels... Except it's worse for me because I'm heavily dependent upon other people's interest in something to help drive my own motivation... The moment I am no longer in an environment where my progress is appreciated with enthusiasm, is the moment that lose interest... As a result, I'm incredibly skilled in a variety of things, but as I have no personal enthusiasm beyond a certain point, I can't really do much with that stuff. The only skills that I continue to develop are ones that have been established as being intimidating as hell... Be it from language, knowledge or psychological in nature, to even physical... I make little conscious effort to develop these skills, and that's why they're so overwhelming to others. Nothing worse than facing a person who has zero awareness of just what they're capable of doing in a given situation, and proceeding to do it without any apparent effort, or awareness of how unusual their abilities are within that context. I'm writing this from the perspective of things I have gathered from how other people see me, and not how I see myself.
"Only excersicing his talent only when he felt the pressure to impress other people" This is literally me doing essays, projects, and practically anything like 1 hour before deadlines 😂 The best part is when people tell me "wow, that must've taken a while to do"

@@alakani Now that's a job title: "Alden Zenko, Drug Disposer"
Why, don't you like Dr. Pepper?
This video is a masterpiece, start to finish. The transitions and context switches, even the sponsorship at the end, just perfect. Great job Dan!
1:55 that's the rousseau recording lmaoo
“Are you certain? No I’m hoodie guy.”
I’m dying
“We’re adults, okay? We don’t get recess, we get… depressed” Aaaaaaaaah TOO TRUE🤣🙃😭
The sketch for this one is just perfect. It's not even an add! 🙂 He's really good at making sketches too. Love his Chanel.
I feel this somewhat lol - I always sucked at reading sheet music in back in high school, but if I already knew how my part of the song went then with enough additional practice I could play the notes. Definitely not on the first try, and definitely not the whole thing lol, but it felt like what I had to do since everyone else had 4 additional years of music experience on me whereas I just had like half a year on the ocarina lol
1:13 stuck in my head.
I GOT IT
equal vibes to those sopranos who go “ugh i didnt have time to warm up” and then deliver the kind of performance you could only dream to give on your best day
This is basically an unofficial sequel to “When you accidentally write songs that already exist” and I love it!!!
3:47 “look I’m a cat dad, ok? So my cats are not dogs” had me 10 feet underground 💀
“are you certain?”
“no, i’m hoodie guy.”
"Are you certain?"
"No... I'm- Hoodie Guy."
"I love to wofdf, I love to worsfAADH," *has an aggressive seizure*
that la campenela was played Rousseau 1:43
This is so good. Love all the work you and your team are putting into these!!!
I have a friend that learns by listening to piano music, he can play This Is Me from the greatest showman (one of my favorite songs) and its amazing.
this might be one of the best sketches you've made recently daniel. your acting was really engaging and i loved it!
The idea to take an existing sketch and dynamic and then swap out Daniel for Hoodie Guy is great, I love it.
1:37
"No, [I didn't practice,] I'm Hoodie Guy."
This quote confirms the fact that he is so well known for his questionable habits, everyone in the Daniel Thrasher universe is universally familiar with the term, espacally the way it is said in such a casual tone.
"I'm hoodie guy and you're watching Disney Channel."
Got me dying
It's like JUMPER, but instead of teleporting anywhere he's seen, he can play any song he hears.
“Are you certain?”
“No I’m hoodie guy”
This killed me
Hey guys I have a piano recital at 1:00, wish me luck
Good luck
More Daniel thrasher content made my day so relatable ❤
"We're adults. We don't get recess. We get depressed." -Sun Tzu, probably
This is the stuff I rewatch when I’m bored for years
I think Daniel makes these videos to deal with his own schizophrenia
😂😂😂
Not just his own
Dont_Read_My_Name!!*
This explains a lot actually. We need his character names
Schizophrenia have nothing to do with having multiple personnalities, its a common mistake
“With all that said, I’m Hoodie Guy, and your watching Disney Channel” IM DYINGGG 💀💀💀😂😂😂 his lines tho
Relatable.
I've always struggled with sheetmusic, but can play by ear.
I remember my teacher realizing that I was just playing the songs from memory rather than actually reading the sheet music.
Too bad I don't practice... Might could have been as good as Daniel Thrasher, but my laziness outweighs my talent.
The “you have so much potential, why are you putting in 0 effort” hit so hard
We're adults. We don't get recess when we get depressed 😂😂 so real i swear
Ah, felt like a classic Daniel Thrasher sketch. I like his new stuff too, but this was refreshing.
these keep getting better and better 😂
2:32 got me laughing.
I'm just imagining Daniel recording all the dog sounds and it's making me smile.
BAHHAHAHAHAHA
That’s actually really cool that he can play La Campanella like that, especially while talking
he's not, look at his hands (plus all scenes are spliced anyways so he has to overlay audio on the actual audio)
“I can put in effort if I want to teach”
Damn bro that’s literally my catchphrase 😂
“We don’t get get recess we get depressed” -teach
0:48
“We’re adults, okay? We don’t get recess. We get depressed.”
This feels like being a gifted kid
"are you sure?"
"No- I'm hoody guy"
🤣
Hoodie guy has no idea how great he’s got it. Most of us out here are lazy AND untalented.
"Only excersicing his talent only when he felt the pressure to impress other people"
This is literally me doing essays, projects, and practically anything like 1 hour before deadlines 😂
The best part is when people tell me "wow, that must've taken a while to do"
