And oh boy do they use their chance while we do nothing... 😅
I don't tell myself that. I tell myself that if I put on effort by now if be multi millionaire.
But I also tell myself that that's not worth it, because work is for losers. Winners do the least amount of work possible to live a happy fulfilling life.

"That's not the assignment."
"But it's impressive."
I tried to do the same thing when I studied French. Sadly, the teacher wasn't very impressed that I knew all the irregular verbs and their conjugations when I was supposed to count to 20 and tell him what day it was..
@@fil0sofia I expected you to say that you had accidentally studied Spanish instead French for the assignment
I once wrote what I thought was a fantastic paper, analyzing Ridley Scott's _Kingdom of Heaven_ in relation to the actual historical events it is [very loosely] based on, and demonstrating how our historical context leads us to reinterpret our past into narratives that make sense to us (the movie was ultimately using the Crusader Kingdoms as a backdrop to [perhaps unintentionally] comment on the Iraq War, with little regard to the worldviews of the actual crusaders) rather than legitimately engaging with who we once were (not to say the movie was bad). My professor also thought it was a fine paper (maybe not fantastic...) but gave me a C because he wanted me to analyze the movie's interaction with the medevial concepts of duty and piety.
So, uh, remember kids, make sure you read the assignment well.

@@jameswhitley4101 Here's an analysis of Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven: It was boring and I fell asleep so I never finished the movie.
“We’re adults, okay? We don’t get recess, we get… depressed”
I swear this one sketch has so many quotable lines it’s incredible
I feel like this is just ADHD summed up perfectly. From what I've heard from others who have to deal with it, you either physically do not have the energy or the ability to care. Or you become obsessed with finishing whatever it is that you don't even eat or sometimes sleep until it's done.
Granted, these are two extremes, but still.
As someone with ADHD it swings like a fucking pendulum
@@usernamesarestupid7104 it’s so true. unfortunately my pendulum is heavily swayed to depression which axes the “motivation for something so extremely i don’t sleep” to where that maybe a once a year thing for me. which means i’m stuck with no motivation, zero care for anything, and some severe depression :(
WHAT??? THATS ADHD????? NOOOOOO
Well, it’s worth mentioning that the whole hyper focus part happens a lot less often than the physically don’t have the energy to care, though it’s not that you don’t care, it’s more just a mental barrier towards actually doing the thing you want to do.
Exactly. I cannot work but for some reason I was great at school and taking tests lmao

We can agree that Daniel is good at piano but I love how he doesn't even remotely try to play the 2 hard classical pieces at all
It’s funny, because as a cellist, this is extremely relatable. I have a few friends in my orchestra group that have had so many outside of class lessons that they don’t even need to practice the music. THEY PLAY IT ON THE SPOT. While I’m over here practicing each piece they say “oops I forgot to practice” and proceed to play it like they have been playing the song for months 😂 It’s a flex, really
It sounds like your friends have begun memorizing their repertoire.
You have some pretty impressive friends
i hate to say that i am one of those people in my orchestra 😭
yeah, I barely get to practice violin, so as first chair I have to sight read+memorize when i can
I was one of those people in high school orchestra too. It was always awkward because I just did orchestra as a casual thing and didn’t want to be good because I was also on the bowling team and spent way more time practicing that. My orchestra teacher was always trying to get me to sign up for these extra orchestras/ensembles outside of school and I straight up admitted that I don’t practice and do everything wrong and I don’t mean to sound this good…it just happens

00:01:01 i can answer your question. it's because the ratio between the notes has small numbers, like the frequency difference from F to Bb is 2/3, F being 2 and 3 being Bb means that our ears then do not hear a lot of chaotic noise, but instead, the sound fits together and it plays at the same time.
i think
I love that ending :D Your videos are always so creative and fun
This actually hits me hard. I had a counselor in highschool who hated my guts because she know I didn't study for shit and yet my grades were all on the upper half of the whole year. She would sometimes call me to her office just to try to convince me to apply myself, because of my potential. Didn't work.
I'm now struggling in college 'cause I didn't build a strong enough foundation when I had a chance.
Stay in school kids. Apply yourselves. It actually pays off eventually
you needed to be challenged. you weren't being challenged. that's why
also people needed to sit you down and teach you how to study, possibly.
just challenge yourself now. ask for help whenever you need it.
Same way as in didn't need to study for shit but was at the top of my class, didn't have the counselor that hated me but had one that came into my class and was preaching about ignorance is bliss. In a school, high school, of course I didn't listen to her because of common sense, because you're in school to learn I mean now it's gone to shit I'm not the only one thinking that right?
Lol, I had it a bit different. I was riding on 2's (our grade system goes from 1(fail) to 6) but had almost high 90's frequency of attendance in school and sitting at front desk. One time, one of the teachers slapped me with attendance sheet and went: "how can you know so little and have such poor perfomance in my class while being on every single one in front row !?".
@@Stratos1988 truth be told. The school system is far from perfect. My sister had to repeat a year because she struggled with anything that required calculations, but in everything else she was an outstanding student. It can be very unfair. Maybe it's the same for you. Maybe your school simply didn't recognise your potential.
@@dolenir Nope, In this case it's mostly on me and I do own up to my mistake but at the same time I do feel like in some cases I should have gotten more tailored approach instead of "no, wrong answer, git gud". Comment section is to small to write everything, but bullet point is, my head works in a way of seeking logic to what's at hand and school expects student to blindly remember and just apply correct memory to question. If someone told why the actual F i'm supposed to search for X it probably be a bit different. Now I know that one can effectively use circumference of a circle equation to know how long of sticker i'd need for my 17" wheels.

The moment I am no longer in an environment where my progress is appreciated with enthusiasm, is the moment that lose interest... As a result, I'm incredibly skilled in a variety of things, but as I have no personal enthusiasm beyond a certain point, I can't really do much with that stuff.
The only skills that I continue to develop are ones that have been established as being intimidating as hell... Be it from language, knowledge or psychological in nature, to even physical... I make little conscious effort to develop these skills, and that's why they're so overwhelming to others. Nothing worse than facing a person who has zero awareness of just what they're capable of doing in a given situation, and proceeding to do it without any apparent effort, or awareness of how unusual their abilities are within that context.
