    We're finding 1920px x 1080px is working best so far for images. Then trial and error. Look through the comments for more tips on how to make things work better. 💙💜

    Really good tips! A lot of things I hadn’t thought about (user not knowing to scroll, changing text font for directions to stand out from info, duration of video in text below video, etc.) so many great things to consider! Thank you for sharing!

    Thanks for sharing - the open and honest way the Belvista Team shares information and explains the tools of the trade, actually helped me take the step into the world of ID - so thank you. It also made me smile as you are up in Brissy and I am on the Gold Coast - home grown heroes!

    Appreciate all the work you put into this. Have used Canva but didn't know about the cinemagraphs. Great for grabbing attention. I would stay away from attaching navigation meaning to colors, and that makes the learning not accessible to all.

    Lots of great inspiration! I can't wait to try some of this out. Just one caveat: using embedded text in images (flash cards) or gifs will put up more hurdles for learners with vision impairments, and makes translating the course harder.

      @@BelvistaStudios We have recently started creating 2 courses - One very basic (mostly only text and few still images) for those with visual impairments. It is a little extra work, but doesn't take too long to copy and paste the text into basic course.

    Hi, great video and some great tips. I have just been playing at creating my own divider, but it looks huge still (just like an image). I made in on PP as don't have Illustrator. How did you get the pic to be narrow enough to look like a divider? Thank you.

      Have you tried cropping it at the top and bottom in Rise after you've imported it as a full width image?

  • @myinspirationcorner4499

    I am just getting started and love your videos. Do you have a video to help newbies know what size to make images for various places/blocks in rise 360. I have searched and can’t find this info.

    • @BelvistaStudios
      @BelvistaStudios  2 роки тому

      Eep! Ditto. We've never been able to find specific dimensions online as Rise is responsive so there is no real "right" size. We tend to use 2500x1406px for our full width images.

    Awesome video! How do you go about getting your gif of the guy to sit right on the orange divider line? It sits perfectly on there! He's also really small. Did it take more altering in another program to edit it?

      😊 Created in Canva and exported as a .png. When you create it as needed in there, you can get it to work better in Rise.

    What program did you use to loop the gifs every 30 secs? I use Powtoon (continuously only) and Camtasia (can chose loops but not timing) so can't do this on either of them. Thank you.

    • @BelvistaStudios
      @BelvistaStudios  Рік тому

      From memory, they were done in Vyond. Sometimes we stretch the timeline before exporting the GIF so it stays on longer or loops look delayed.

    For the Dot Points (8m16s) accordion segment, how did you get lists for "the good" and "the bad" to auto-play? Was there a special way you published or designed this in Vyond?

    Hi how are you able to export your gif at such high quality from vend? Mine seems to look pixelated when imported

    • @BelvistaStudios
      @BelvistaStudios  2 роки тому +1

      Tips on image parameters: We're finding 1920px x 1080px is working best so far. If your images look nice and crisp when downloaded but look blurry when uploaded to Rise, try adding '_NOPROCESS_' at the beginning or end of the image file name. This stops Rise from compressing the image. Note that this may increase the file size and it also may not work for labelled graphics (labelled graphics must be at least 760px wide so Rise will automatically make them bigger if needed). Basically, go as big as possible on the image your exporting, not exporting at the size you would like it to show at.

      @@BelvistaStudios thank you, that's so helpful. I create my gifs in Vyond.
      I have one more question if you dont mind - how did you create the scenario in the rise course with the image and the quiz questions underneath? Was it a storyline import?

    This is great! How are you able to import the Vyond GIF with a white background? I tried doing it and it's importing in Rise as off-white; almost a light gray. Any ideas?

    • @BelvistaStudios
      @BelvistaStudios  2 роки тому

      Thanks for choosing to learn with us. Ooohh, you know what? It could be your screen that's displaying it that way (if the gif background is white and the Rise background is white. i.e. the same hex colours). Try publishing it and reviewing it on a different device to see if that is the case as a first step. 💙💜

      Our pleasure. Thanks for choosing to learn with us. Hmmm.. we learnt something recently but haven't had a chance to experiment yet. Put '_NOPROCESS_' in the file name of your gif. Quantity it won't try to resize it then (assuming you have it large already, like 1024 in width at least).💙💜

      @@BelvistaStudios an expandable dropdown arrow titled: "image description" that expands and describes the image might be ok (below the image) .
      That being said articulate rise is just so limited there aren't much options and adding gfis that give out actual learning information is more of a hack that aims to give you or replace something that is missing from the core featrues of rise. Obviously having gifs to showcase valualble information or even navigation should be a no go in any learning solution out there but that is what we are reduced to in rise. Not any designer/users fault, we do the best with what we have.
