  • Sometimes great movies get great merchandise to collect. Sometimes they don’t. And it SUCKS! Like why on EARTH did Ratatouille get high quality 6-inch Marvel Legends style figures yet Secret of Nimh got nothing?? Is there rules regarding which talking mouse movies get toys? Heck Ratatouille is barely even about talking mice and really just a solid romantic dramedy?? It didn’t need Action Figures AT ALL! sigh enough rambling just watch the video.

Secret of NIMH came out when I was six and I got one storybook with the characters and that was about it. A Mrs Brisby would be a wonderful thing.
Balto never got figures other than fast food toys. I have seen some 3D printed figures though.
While not a feature film, I really want a figure of Wildlfire , the horse from the Hanna Barbera series. I have found a very nice 3D sculpt that could be printed -if I had a 3D printer!

I hope jakks pacific does the license for Zootopia 2 figures.
Totally agree though bad guys needs figures & maybe funko pops.
Beastars (if you are into it) should have figures that are affordable and not just statues. The final season is coming out on December 5th too. I would love Legoshi or Melon figures articulated.
Kind of wished puss and boots last wish should have had figures and plushies. Especially death & jack horner.

@@LoyalKit Sadly a lot of anime just gets non articulated figures ☹️ It took My Hero Academia years to get 6 inch ML style figures when they should’ve launched with or shortly after the show premiered. (And still no Froppy figure! In 2024!)

I would LOVE some "The Brave Little Toaster" merchandise. I don't think figures would necessarily work but I think some nice quality Disney Store plushes or in a perfect world appliances that are shaped and look like the respective characters like a toaster that looks like Toaster or an electric blanket that looks like Blankey

A line of action figures for Rock and Rule would be great, even a line of display figures would be nice.
At this point I'm honestly just considering looking for some used/decent base figures so I can make customs of the main characters

It seems like the wild robot isn't getting any toys which is surprising & disappointing since most animated robot movies have gotten toys (iron giant,robots,wall-e,big hero 6 even ron's gone wrong got toys hell robot dreams got a toy too)

@@dannyfrisk9178 Even with it being a new IP (tougher sell) they likely would have sold decently because like you said, robot toys ALWAYS sell. Doesn’t even matter what the movie is, kids and collectors just love plastic robots. Dreamworks has had some weird licensing lately. Literally none of their movies have gotten any toys. Not even Kung Fu Panda, and those definitely would’ve sold. Oddly enough all the Illumination movies are getting merch. And they’re both Universal 🤔

Another animated movie I'd love to see get the action figure treatment is Ralph Bakshi's 1977 cult classic, Wizards. I'm amazed nobody attempted to make action figures of Peace (Necron 99) with his horse, Avatar the Good Wizard, Weehawk, Princess Eleanor, and Blackwolf just to name a few. I'd also really love to have sets of 1/12 scale action figures of The Last Unicorn and Starchaser: The Legend of Orin.

This one is a wild omission, it's a Gen X staple that had HUGE influence on everything animation and fantasy related. You'd think NECA, Super 7 or somebody would see the potential in a Wizards line of figures. (I'd buy them all....)

For me it’s always been Legend of Sleepy Hallow.
I’d have added Mr Toad there too, but I have managed to accumulate a nice little Toady collection thanks to him seemingly being more marketable thanks to the Disneyland ride.
But I’ve always wanted a nice Icabod Crane figure, even a PVC doesn’t exist… I know we just got the Funko pops but the Icabod just doesn’t do it for me, he’s far to expressive to be relegated to such simple silhouette.
I’d hoped Super7 were gonna get to it, since their line felt like it was made by someone that grew up in the 70s, with an empathise on the 40-50s content, but they lost the licence so...

    • @austin_the_brimstone

@@legend_oflouis9813 I can’t believe there isn’t a Sleepy Hollow figure line simply based on the fact that:
      a. It’s Disney
      b. it’s Halloween.
Doesn’t even matter if the movie is obscure those two facts alone will print money. Anything Disney and vaguely Halloween is marketed at the parks these days. And you’re right Super 7 not only was focusing on classic Disney but even had a Halloween focus, making this omission all the more baffling.
(I bet it was planned had the Super 7 x Disney line continued.)
