Are you sure that the metal closure is the reason for the scratches? I thought that it is the band itself because of its coating.

Not sure. It could be the coating process that fails over time.

I have the space Black series 4 Milanese. Looks identical except for colour. Beautiful band but adds weight and loves to pull hairs lol
