Damn you are right! But is there any reason to connect a theme which is usually played for Elaine appearances in Kuro 1 (and 2) to a battle theme for major villains ... ?
I always felt "What is Ahead of You" was Van's theme honestly. I feel like it plays during lots of series or somber scenes with him. So using the leitmotif or melody here as an up tempo boss track, to me, symbolizes how his whole life is being thrust into high stakes chaos. Especially during one specific fight that this plays in....so peak!
"Believing Heart" and this one are absolutely amazing tracks by Singa. The guitar is amazing and even the synth section at 01:45 suits to give this track some identity. Had the intensity the fight against Harwood deserved.
relistening to falcom soundtrack at random after (re) playing some of the games recently, I can fairly say the main issue I see these days is not the music quality (it's consistently good, even from singa) but the fact that a non negligible part of it is done without real regards to the narrative. Sure, you will have music that fit towns, light hearted discussions, somber moments, revelations, boss fights, etc... but it mostly just fits the theme and the ambiance, instead of actually supporting the narrative and the emotions of the story. Speaking generic there, there are still a few musics per games in recent time that can still blow you away emotionally with how fitting they are, but they are less compared to what they might have been in the past. I am only speaking till kuro I, i'll have to wait and see what kuro 2 has done in that regard.
@@sunnyseviper honestly love this too. Plus who knows, the twin siblings could be a poasible enforcer duo member as their tarot card being Gemini. Plus it seems that his synthetic guitars are slowly improving. Though now people just complain over the violin instrument next. Then again, what would you expect from people nowadays.
Hmm, unless I really like when this playes in game I can't imagine myself listening to this song outside of the game but it's not terrible. Not something I'd listen to outside of the game, much like the vast majority of the area themes from every trails game. I'm more so just sick and tired of people who clearly just hate some of falcom's composers commenting how much they hate singa or whoever and think kuro 1 2 or kai have the worst soundtrack by far or some nonsense. First of all music is subjective and I think kuro 1 and 2 have fantastic soundtracks, second what ever happened to "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything"?
After listening to this I lost interest in ナイツ・オブ・アステリア from Kuro1's Super Ultimate Album now I hope there's a Kuro 2 Super Ultimate or something that rearrangement this track
Singa back at it with the squeaky oven door guitars, I mean the songs themselves are pretty great ngl but I do agree that the sounds he uses are kinda horrible :p
Hmmmmm I'm sort of split on this one. Parts I enjoy, parts that blow ass (Singa staple "I don't know how to transition into the beginning so here's something completely different for the loop point"). It's a little generic and monotonous throughout, but I'm an unironic fan of the 🐔 and the kinetic energy this song maintains, I can't help but find kind of infectious.
@@실험용흰쥐-z4y no worries. At this point they're giving us the clear answer of what they'll get more of from their comment. So I'd say they're doing a good job. Jokes aside, I honestly like this theme. It represents that the battle is going to be quite difficult while showing that these enemies dont care about the limita. They will go to extreme deptha that you're dead.
The chickens are back... And they try to peck out my eardrums... Dear Aidios, make it stop! The mid (circus) section with the organ is like Singa's pouring gasoline over my bleeding ears and sets it aflame. The... pain...
Definitely my favorite of everything I heard so far. What is Ahead of You melody is so good.
I can't believe I didn't notice how this used the melody from "What Is Ahead of You" until it was pointed out in a different comment section.

best out of all chicken songs. Singa secretly genius.
I like this very much

Another Singa banger which means the Falcomcels are seething right now
They should definitely hire Singa to make boss themes for Cuccos in Zelda games.
Big fan of this song def fits the sniper kids

This sounds like it’s going to be an epic battle.
1:45 sounds like a classic sonic stage in sonic forces
👍

I actually kinda like the chickens here. 1:45 is a disaster, but otherwise it's actually solid.
Honestly think this is a pretty good and then that synth breakdown in the back leg happens and MAN that is so deliciously cheesy lmao
While I’m not a huge fan of the twins, I absolutely love this theme
What is Ahead of You (Battle Version)
thats my guess as to the title of this track
As it shares the main melody of that song, being a metal version of that track.
anyways this track is 10/10
Best track on the OST

The only thing like about this track is the "What is Ahead of You" melody in the chorus.
The rest of the track could burn.

Feels like this and unused Monstrum Nox track. And I dont know if it fits the theme of Kuro 2.

Trust me as someone playing through the game right now, it's fine. The OST has had far more overall focus and identity than Kuro.
