I got to ride a Blast the first year they came out in Eagle River, and I fell in love. Everything that I liked about vintage sleds (small, lightweight) but has a really cool, reliable, simple, smooth single cylinder, similar to my Elan, but without all the shake and noise. Handles like a modern sled, was just a blast!
For those of you who wish the bravo or 250 tundra would come back, this is the newest option. But Arctic Cat missed the mark on pricing. If they priced it at 6-8 grand, they would sell double the machines.
I purchased my 23 Transporter Lite (same sled) for $8500. It has been a great do all sled. 1100 miles the first season. Did fine on the trails and was very handy on the property harvesting wood I cant get to in the summer. It will go just about anywhere. I did have to upgrade the shocks though. Now its 200+ mile a day comfortable.
@ its all 4, you have to transfer the springs. Its a shame they didnt just make them stock because my stock skid shock was junk after a few hundred miles.
I've heard a lot of good things about those blasts so far, definitely a worth while consideration for younger or smaller riders or even just riders not to worried about the performance aspect too much
You know winter is just around the corner when you here the SnoTrax theme song. Not a bad little sled either, for a kitty kat. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow !!!
I have the 2024 version Blast LT handling on packed trail on flotation are much improved if swap the skis out for the 10-8 skis that were installed on the old 4 stroke bearcats and the horseman 8000
Every manufacturer needs to have these sleds in their production lineup! Perfect for kids that have outgrown the 120s yet an adult can still throw it in the back of the truck and take it to the lake!
Is the affordable snowmobile back? This looks very appealing for someone on a tight budget. Ohh... spoke too soon, 8 to 10+ grand USD. Maybe my source was wrong, but that doesn't seem cheap. Snowtrax, you guys might want to consider making a updated video on a little bit older snowmobiles, that you would still ride today! Not trying to being negative or anything but just a thought!
@PrestonGladd Come on, buddy, you just gotta take a few mins out of your day to simply just look! If you know what you want, I promise you, you will find it!
@@Outdoors-and-Sports i picked up an '24 expedition sport for 13k,cdn,otd. you just can't beat BRP for affordable machines.i got a g3 outlander for almost the same price and it's awesome.
I got the Transporter400 model a few years back, so pleased with it. Great fuel economy, nimble, good comfort, 200km in a day is no problem at all. But..The pricing here in Sweden was, as in other countries, way off.
I think this would make a good second sled for my wife, but probably the blast version. As someone who primarily buys used equipment, these will be a descent price in a few years. However, with the very poor winter last year, I am seeing smokin' deals on last years models around here. Ya never know.
Starting back up production in first quarter of 2025, which sounds like it would start up again in January/February for 2026 sled production. Fingers crossed for snow this season.
Would it be possible to know the actual dry weight of this machine If the machine is full of gas & oil and being weighed then subtract the weight or the fuel & oil the we would have a dry weight
There will only be one real ....NORSEMAN in my memories 30 years from now when im 85....1971 EVINRUDE 30 HP NORSEMAN. or as my buddies called it .....THE FRIEGHT TRAIN.......My dad bought it in 1973 and i rode that sled in 1990 with my dad on his new 1990 formula plus ski doo.
There are for sure applications where a Tundra makes more sense and it for sure is a better bang for your buck. My big thing was that I intended to do 3 or 4 150 mile trail days and the tundra really sucks for that. At least for my riding style. That narrow front, pogo, no tipped rail thing combines for one tippy sucker. But in the really tight brush filled trails there is probably not a better unit than a tundra
Vibration is not an issue. It is probably heavier than you think but is light on its skis. Best I could measure was 560lbs wet ready to ride. Full tank (nearly 12 gallons) Front bumper, upgraded shocks, screw-in studded track, tools, spare belt, windshield bag, small tunnel bag. Its a 146 🤷♂️. The steering is very light, feels like power steering.
This and its sister the Transporter Lite are, in my ever so humble opinion, the absolute best of the blast line. Shockingly capable on the trail (If its tight and twisty noone gets away from you till you hit a lake). Even more shockingly capable at towing. Buttery smooth engagement (thanks to the CVtech clutching). Starts in minus 50. 200 miles to a tank. 70mph top end which is plenty for 90 percent of what I do. And quite quick up to about 45. If it wasn't for two minor gripes I'd say the TL is my favorite sled of my far too large fleet. The stupid dollar store "switch gear" is shameful and the rear skid shock is total garbage. Note to viewers: that front bumper isn't standard equipment but worth every penny to get. I can lift it onto my shop rollers.
I also have the Transporter Lite and am very happy with it. I upgraded the shocks and that was a game changer ($500). I also added a handlebar switch for the headlight hi/lo. This thing is a do-it-all. It will go anywhere.
I still have a bravo trapper! And still does all the same as you described! For way less of a price point as one of them! And more than likely pull better also! Just bought my son a 200 zr for 6800 plus all the extra cost to go with it! If I was able to find another brovo in good as shape as mine is I woulda paid the 6k for it no problem at all!! Don’t know why the manufacturers got away from the bravos and tundras that we all grew up with and know so well! I could say elan. But that would be showing my age! 😂😂😂
I've had (and still have) many Bravos and loved them. but to say that a Bravo can do everything this can do is beyond laughable. I've had my TL through a foot of horrible slush with 500 pounds in a toboggan and it pulled it through there like nothing. Heck I've even loaded a bravo in my toboggan and towed it through slush with the TL because the bravo on its own was stuck without a toboggan. The 1.6 cobra 146 goes almost anywhere and can tow easily 5 times the weight that any Bravo can. I'd NEVER attempt a 200 mile trail ride on a Bravo and have done many with the TL. Bravos are amazing sleds that I think would sell today but the zero suspension and slow top end make them restricted in their usage where this sled does not have those same issues.
Nothing wrong with the sled itself but the asking price is completely out to lunch - especially when you consider what ski-doo wants for their 600 EFI powered sleds.
I bought 2 snow check machines, a VR1 and a Switchback in 2020, shortly later the machines were recalled, the sleds could blow-up. I took the sleds in for repair, fast forward 2 years, I received a "do not ride" notice. Now, 4 years later Polaris has not resolved the issue. I have asked for a refund or a safe replacement sled (s). Stay away, read everything on the web, lawsuits are coming, Polaris cannot handle the engineering.
at #13,000 dollars you are off your freakin rocker. You can buy a 2025 600 etec from ski doo for $14,900 which I gaurantee is 200 times the sled than this crap 400
Wow.
A snowmobile built for what snowmobiles were intended for.
What a brilliant idea 👍
SnowTrax is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets go!

100% ATV manufacturers getting crazy sometimes with the pricing.

I’ve lost confidence in manufacturers and the people promoting them with how out of touch they are with what the market wants or is willing to pay.

20 trail 15 towing
I got about 16-19 mpg chasing sidewinders.

600Ace is way better!
And is only available in a full-sized chassis. I have Ski-Doos, but Neos also make little sense. Full-sized 600s with a third the power.

Extremely overpriced when Ski-doo is making sleds like the MXZ Neo. I mean the freakin switch labels are stickers on this thing, cheap.
