The exact same thing has happened in Utah- members of a gov't board/council meeting privately with one side before board makes decision. I'm actually afraid to mention the corrupt politician's name here due to retaliation I've already received for calling it out.

The man was a Speed. He’s an ancestor of mine. It’s an easy google. There are a few very old history books that mention Speed and Lincoln’s relationship. Speed was there for Lincoln when he was suffering from depression.

We have a Ukrainian we use to do all our photo editing in our business and have sent packages to help him and his family over the last couple years and have heard first hand accounts from him of life there and their feelings. Ugh.
