Much respect to you you are the pool master, ive been doing pools 3 years and just know how to do strip and cleans and clean pools but through your channel im starting to learn repairs on the side
It could be the engine is out of balance. I have seen this stop one of these before. It might be a good idea to take it into your local Leslie's for a free inspection.
I have the MX8 ELITE and replaced both tire tracks checked the sprockets from both A and B and rotate it from the inside and the black top thread holder rotates perfectly forward and back sprockets so it can spin, but when I put the new tire track threads, it keeps it in the middle where does not meet the sprockets to spin. If I manually push it forward or backward, the black tire holder spins. Once I let go, it gets stuck in the middle again where it doesn't meet the sprockets which causes it not to spin. Is it because the new tire threads are too tight? Please help. Thanks
I'd remove the fan from the bottom at this stage and check if that's wound up with debris before replacing any parts. Video 3 of this series shows how to do it
i dont get why one of my tire's inside teeth is all filed down, why did they make those little teeths on the inside of the tires so tiny and fragile? they get filed down so easily, any way to prevent that? it's funny because one side the inside teeths look fine, barely worn down but the other side, i can't remember left or right, is all worn down to the point there's really nothing for the gear to grab onto
They can't make the rubber treads any thicker because the slight flex in them is what helps the cleaner climb the walls. So the teeth will wear out over time - one side of the cleaner turns more - the directional gear side so maybe that is why one side is more worn out.

Thanks for the positive feedback! 😃👍
I replace the directional device and wheel tracks , now one of my tracks keep coming out , any suggestions , thank u
Check to make sure the directional device is fully seated. That black gear might be the issue.
I rebuilt entire mx6 and it will go for a few minutes than stop. Suction seems good. Cleaned filter. I did replace the blades with the MX8 Scrubbers.

Are they official Zodiac tracks?
I replaced the wheels now this thing doesn't move at all. Can't get the turbine underneath to rotate on it's own.
It could need to be reassembled again. Maybe an error.
thank you!!

I got melted rubber/gunk stuck on the wheels from an old track, what's the best way to remove it?
Try some of that Orange hand cleaner on it. Works well.

In your experience, how long do those tracks last before needing replacement?
1.5 years. Maybe less if it is running more than 8 hours a day 365 year.
@@SPL Thank you!
