- Here is a fine piece of music that celebrates the Lenten Season. Laura and I used to play it every year and we enjoyed it so, rather than not play it as a pipe organ piece, we decided to use the harpsichord and it worked quite well. I also discovered the Thomas Young temperament works wonderfully for the music written during the middle of the 19th century which I guess makes sense as it came out in the first half of the 19th century. Our purpose was to enjoy the music and have some fun with the variations. I hope you like it. Please give us a like and subscribe for more music with recorder and harpsichord.
A sweet arrangement. It's nice how the harpsichord doesn't overpower the recorder, and they blend so well together. One of my favorite hymns! 🎶🎵🎶
So fresh and beautiful.
Thank you very much.
One of the best ever...
Thanks
Liked and subscribed. Does so remind me of Sunday school.
Thank you!
Love this arrangement! I’ve been enjoying the arrangement you sent of 40 Days and 40 Nights on my harpsichord. Have you thought about a book of your arrangements? ☺
Thank you!
No way, this was the first song I ever directed with my church choir 7 days ago, and I'm trying to put a recorder consort together at my church here in St Paul Minnesota!
It must be fate. We used the recorder a lot when we worked for the Anglican Church. People really liked it.
