Wow , Imagine if this sort of parkour was in the new games , especially with the introduction of the pole ride in mirage , Which could've covered larger streets
I said it once and I'll keep saying it again: AC1 is the MOST underrated game in the franchise. And as much as I love Black Flag, this game deserves the remake more than any of them.
Those are my exact thoughts as well after playing ac1 for the first time like 8 months ago. Its the last ac game I played since most said to skip it because it's boring, bland, janky, clunky, and of course repetitive. But I was blew out on how much I loved the game because of its story, narrative, and philosophy. The music of it, ambience, and atmosphere of ac1 has a dark sinister tone in which I really enjoy. Without this positives, I can totally see ac1 as a boring game, because gameplay wise it only supports the feel of the game, in which I don't mind as much.
I loved ac1's parkour the most, yes ac2 to revelations did improve upon it by adding corner swings, flag poles, horse jump, the hook blade, but man, the vault on ac1 although unrefined just feels good to use, if their's an open world out their where vaulting of ac1 is more encourage, I would have a ton of fun just roaming that place non stop.
one of the cleanest parkour vids on the game no doubt, this was insane. Must have taken so long to just map out the route, never mind to completely nail it like that
Absolutely lovely run, and a nice deviation from your usual style, while still retaining that feel. You made the absolute most out of that otherwise flat poor district

They should be Creating a whole new team for the assassins Creed franchise where one team focuses on open world rpg then the other focusing on the roots of assassins Creed parkour stealth combat exploration !!
I feel like the vault should be used sparingly so that when you see it, it's special, but that "pole vault" was insane, including the jumps leading upto it.
alt title: altair having the zoomies for 3 minutes straight really nicely done! the vault mechanic really gives ac1 such a nice fluidity, especially when you can pull it off like this!
No unnecessary ejects, or going around in circles, just pure skill and precise inputs on a really cool looking route. Best parkour snippet I have ever seen for AC1 and maybe Assassin's Creed in general, I'm sad I only now just saw this
This is honestly the most impressive parkouring I've ever seen. You're really good, AC1 really had so much freedom with its movement, very enjoyable to watch.
@@NoGaLyX It's a real shame too, vaulting is what makes AC1's parkour my favourite even if Ezio's increased speed and cancel-ability makes his mostly better. I always feel the lack of depth due to vaulting's removal.
@@NoGaLyX classic ubisoft moment, implementing a good mechanic that only needed refinement to make it excellent only to remove and add something else, never improving anything

I replay the same thing over and over for hours and build muscle memory. I've also wasted way too many hours playing/learning about AC games, so the experiential knowledge I have from having done things so many times helps.

I think it would be best suited for mirage, ashame though that we can only dream about it.

The hardest part of parkour in these games is not messing up after 20 seconds... Keeping it going for this long is incredible, well done

it was an unfinished feature, and they probably didn't want to bother fixing it, or tutorializing it.
