I had a 2023 Sterling Silver Z71 Tahoe with a 5.3L reserved... until I saw this video. After I watched this video, about 5 times, I started looking for a Z71 Tahoe with a 6.2L, air ride adaptive suspension, dual tips, etc. I wasn't even aware that these Tahoes had the air ride adaptive suspension. I found a 2022 Evergreen Gray Z71 6.2L at a different dealership. I called the first dealership, thanked them for their help and canceled my order. The dealership is located in a different state, so I had to roadtrip to pick it up. This Z71 is by far my favorite truck I have ever owned. Even better than my 2000 Dodge Durango. Great video, thank you!
This review was excellently done; great job! I cannot believe that this Tahoe trim (Z71) is this huge considering that you said you are 6 feet, 5 inches in height. This is the perfect performance SUV compared to all that I have seen-and those are not even close! Chevrolet did a great job with this. Thank you so much for doing this car review! I liked and subscribed to your channel. God bless!
That is a very cool package it has with that Tahoe. Looks awesome! Great review! I didn’t know it has that lift system available for a Tahoe ! Beautiful!
I believe the optional performance exhaust is made by Borla. They have 3 levels from low to high--touring, S-type, and Atak. I had a cat-back S-type put on my Silverado 5.3. Sounds nice, not too loud or too soft--right in the middle.
This car looks crispy. Love the luxury package it comes with. The sliding center console is actually awesome for kids who wanna have their drinks and stuff. And the fact that GM now uses full android in it's infotainment system is also a major plus. Love the video Dave! Keep up the good work good sir!
Nice truck. Whoever ordered the Tahoe knew what he/she wanted, especially the roof rack cross rails. Now if Chevy get the Tahoe/Suburban towing rating better than the Expedition/Max, sales would really increase. The Brembro factory brake kit was first introduced on the Chevy SS.
Factory Brembo's have been used before the SS, the 2010-up Camaro SS's and Cobalt SS's all use them. And the Brembo package on the Tahoe/Suburban/pickups is not factory installed, but rather a dealer installed LPO accessory option.
@@apolloniaaskew9487 Good luck sir, they are a great performance sedan for sure! They are bringing pretty good money since they were only made for a few years.
Just purchased a very well optioned 2023 Tahoe Z-71 w/6.2 (Sterling Gray Metallic) 3 days ago here in Texas. Searched over a 500 mile radius to find the one that wasn’t in a “In Transit” status. I live in Fort Worth and fortunately located the Tahoe about 4.5 hours from here in Humble, TX. That said, when they went to prep it for delivery, the gauge cluster flashed an “air ride suspension fault” light that wouldn’t clear after several attempts. The dealership called GM and it was determined that the air ride compressor has to be replaced, so it is now on order and won’t be delivered to the dealership until mid-week. I probably won’t take delivery until next Saturday if all goes well. The Tahoe has just 4 miles on it, and I will say the dealership has said they will void the sale upon my request. It’s taken me 4 months to find this exact Tahoe, and it was by luck that I found it so I’m not all that concerned because the factory warranty is in place. These things do happen once in a great while, but I am curious if anyone on this thread including the dealership has ever encountered a similar issue in regards to a failed part on a new purchase vehicle?
Love the off-road package, it will let his wife run over those mall parking obstructions without too much damage. Hardly any of these things ever go off road at all. Maybe when they're on their third owner.
Nice video, awesome Truck.. Question: With the Air Ride can the truck be fitted with an aftermarket lift? seems i can't order the 6.2 without the Air ride in the Zl1 trim///
Hey great videos, seems like it’s not possible to get tv’s in the 2022 Tahoe. The dealer I went to said not possible and on the Chevy site when you build a Tahoe there is no option. How does this one in your video have them? Help if it’s possible to get them.
Great vehicle. I have same model but 5.3 Midnight Blue without Brembo…..I do have the 5.3 version of the performance exhaust and almost sounds like a 6.2.
Currently just $1000 for Costco members and $500 if the buyer is one of the following: 1st responder, healthcare worker, educator, college student, active military
What happens if you dont have reception off road or cant other wise reach road side service. Does sufficient jack equipment (jack stand) come with this car to change the two tires on your own ? For the Z71 Off Road package, shouldnt it come with off road ties for the off road package instead of all season tires ? My Z71 package came with off road tires, not great, but off road tires. I now have Falken wildpeaks on there and they are a ncie upgrade over stock. I also added the Brembo brakes, a bog improvement in braking performance over stock brakes, worth the money.
These are considered all-terrain tires which are more aggressive than the standard all seasons but still tame for one road use. Yes, the truck does come with everything needed for the driver to change the tires out
brake pad monitor no longer works on the brembo upgrade. also, the pad wears much quicker. they are not cheap pads. unfortunately, my late year 2021 z71 tahoe didn't have the 360 camera, ride height, power rear seats, power folding mirrors but did pay $76k (dealership added $10k market adjusted price). i was told i would have to wait till 2023 to get the 2022 so i went ahead and bought their 2021 model in late november for the ripoff price. the 360 camera is not available as a dealership addon. i would like to see if i can upgrade to the 2022 digital dash. i added the brembo brake upgrade (around $5k) after not being satisfied with the factory brakes. i qualified for free mud guards but i think the dealership never ordered it. i gave up calling the dealership for the mud guards. i might just ordered it online. the only plus side of having a chip shortage build is that GM didn't include the auto stop emission system.
I'm in the market for one of these. Any idea why the Tahoe Z71 doesn't have a/c front seats while the GMC version does? I prefer the look and paint options for the Chevrolet.
My girlfriend is missing her 2022 Tahoe RST she’s waiting patiently for GM to fix it might be awhile she’s got a 2019 Equinox LT as a loner but she misses that 6.2 her Tahoe has
The sliding center console option is nice, but…………..There is always a bit……… The switch for the Sliding console is not only not very ergonomic for location but very difficult to find. Overhead console and about the only switch not marked. Every other switch on the Overhead panel controls a feature that is for overhead items….lift gate, moonroof etc……. If your controlling a item below the windshield line the. Put the switch on the lower portion of the instrument panel. Also if you get the sliding console option you lose the USB charging ports in the console. Caution…..don’t overload the sliding lower tray….it is possible for the item to fall out of console on the back side and get wedges between the rear of the console and into the no man’s land of the rear of the console. Yes possible to remove but normally requires the entire console removal or at minimum the upper console storage tray……..ask me how I know!!!
