It is really cool to take a trip down memory lane, as much of this content was in the Amp videos. When you were inspecting the seat covers, I kept waiting to hear, "And no seat covering is completely vintage without the rat feces.." good luck on the new channel! I am sure you will soon get many subs here. I think it is a great idea separating the channels, to attract more vehicle enthusiasts. Good luck and thank you again for all your knowledge and willingness to teach.
Thanks for your nice comments and good wishes, RR. I think this will open the hot rod content up to the huge audience who loves cars but would never look for car videos on a vintage amp site. I am infusing more and more new material into the uploads. Eventually, it will all be new.
Hey Uncle Doug & Family, You do some nice work and done right. You have good taste in how to build a rod. A lot of places are having early snowfall this year, you included, we might be in for a long cold winter. I'm doing good and back at it, work, etc..I've never been down for long. All the best, C.
Thanks, Cass. Glad to hear things are back to normal in your area. In my city, the importation of Covid cases from Mexico to our hospitals has created a health crisis, so we are under lockdown and our local merchants are floundering. It's a strange world we live in.
Doug, those seat belts are WWII airplane seat belts. Pretty sure the B-17 I flew several years ago had identical lap belts. Could be found in numerous different types.
My wife complains about them and puts a towel over the seat back, but I "tough it out". They aren't ever hot, but can make you sweat a little just due to lack of ventilation. Aluminum is an excellent heat sink.
Looking good after you put your personal touches on her. May I ask what exactly the product you put on your door panels is. Name of product , where you purchased it? Thanks in advance. Rick
Great video love the look of the pickup!
Thanks, Bob. Glad you found us :)

There is a lot of valuable information in this video. Subscribed and liked- well earned.
Thanks and welcome aboard, Robby :)

How do the aluminium seats hold up under that hot southern sun?
My wife complains about them and puts a towel over the seat back, but I "tough it out". They aren't ever hot, but can make you sweat a little just due to lack of ventilation. Aluminum is an excellent heat sink.
@@uncledougshotrodgarage6049 thats why I asked, I thought maybe they would take the creases out of your shirt for sure, glad you still drive this
@@phonotical No, they're surprisingly comfortable.

I believe it's a material used on stairs, to cushion and reduce slipping. I bought it at Home Depot.
Wouldn't only one fan do the job?
The electric is all you need, but I left the mechanical fan in for appearance.
There was seriously no forgiving that interior...
When I first opened the door, my pupils slammed shut and wouldn't re-open for several minutes :)
@@uncledougshotrodgarage6049 ;) ahh flashbacks...haha
Wait! How do you know what Santa’s chest looks like?!
I was his butler back in the 60's.
Hey Uncle Doug, Is there a way to mail you stuff? A P.O. Box perhaps. Just wondering. Best, C.
Yes. Please message me on my FB page, Uncle Doug's Vintage Amps.
