Whoa this is so unexpected and sick! It's cool to see how surf culture can form in the most unexpected places! I love seeing the stoke flourish in places you'd least expect. Had I seen these guys in another place that's more known for surfing, I'd never guess the were from Prague. Surfers around the world seem to have a certain spark that ties them together globally. It's true that "Only a surfer knows the feeling", and it's that "feeling" that leads to a unique camaraderie among surfers.
From an older dude who grew up surfing in Newport beach now living in Vienna, Austria, this new to me and awesome to see. Thank you for sharing this video. Made my day. 🤙
@@BradJacobson There is a very famous surfing wave in Munich, its in an artificial canal of the Iser river that flows in quite a fast current through a beautiful park call The English Garden. It's a popular hangout spot not only for the local surfers but also other local people because having that beautifully clean water carry you through the park is a great fun. Cannot recommend it enough!
So cool! I grew up in Czech Republic and moved to SoCal and fell in love with surfing. I love your videos and have been following for a while! I’m going back to Prague in a month and for sure want to go here now! There’s another one like this in Brandys which is outside of Prague about 20min and closer to where my parents live. 🤙🏻
That's awesome! I'm an Aussie living in Prague and I want my kids to be able to learn to surf and had no idea this existed! You should know also there's a famous river wave in Munich as well if you wanted to check that out.
It is actually sketchy falling, 'cause if you don't paddle out of the current into the Eddies on the left or right you get swept down the kayak course. Glad you got to meet Janek. Now I am motivated to go back in August.
Whaaat? I've been watching your videos for long time but haven't expected to see one from my country of origin at all. Sick. Love it.

Made my day. 🤙
It was a crazy good session and besides, you filmed my 360 and also my awkward speech. Thanks man!! 😅
That was fun! Gotta find a few more river waves now.

That wave totally reminds of the river wave in Bend Oregon.
Where Gerry Lopez rule!
Absolutely cool to see. Definitely on my bucket list now.
Love the stoke of these guys!
Great content. Weird Waves also did a story on a "wave"like this in Oregon.
This is incredible!
Well done surfers of Praha! Stoked for you 🤙
great video, loved the stoke!
So cool and they’re having a blast

There's also a static wave in Brandýs nad Labem, CZ. Czech it out. Lived there for 10 years
Thanks! Nice video!
Prague is amazing
Gerry Lopez and Ben Gravy would be psyched!
Theres a pretty good river surfing spot in munich too
Artificial surf for the price of a few slats of wood rather than millions of dollars, pure genius.
Also we'll known for its hot women and good weed 😅
just what we need - more euros
Those guys rip. Do they ever get to go surf ocean waves?
Sure, we're both going. but in Prague I can surf every day on my way to work. that's the magic ❤
