Cheers Dylan for covering the baltic surf scene. It truly is special. Everyone who's out in mid-jan freezing waters really wants to be there and the stoke is real.
This is mandatory viewing for anybody who’s getting the shits with their local for not providing the waves they want. The vibe in that little surf community is absolute gold. How good to see that lady score the wave of the day and then have Dylan give that affirmation. This is beautiful
That point session at the end is way, way, way better than what I've been surfing lately. I'd paddle out in a Speedo if I could get waves like that at this point.
Dylan you are becoming the George Clooney of surf vids! (ha ha ha) You tell a great story, its fun to watch, you have a wonderful presence and everyone is genuinely happy to see you and vice versa. Luv the way you show the passionate locals, the folks who don't surf for the glory/attention but for their own well being. So, thanks for sharing. Cheers
do an episode in darwin, northern terrritory Australia, thiers a good little scene of die hards that surf the cyclones with the crocs and jelly fish every year. Epics episode these little surf community's are so full of joy!
Mega stoke! So awesome you got some waves! Freddie is the man (legend) Sweden do get good waves, but just like Freddie said sometimes we have to wait some years for the stars to align. So happy to see more Weird Waves Dylan. Pure stoke!
Amazing episode! I always wondered if it was possible to surf in the baltic and now I finally have an answer. This is genuinely a beautiful and inspiring series and I hope everyone behind it is as stoked to make it as I and everyone else here is to watch it.
Hahaha. I'm the lone lid there. I was testing a housing and saw what I thought was some local weather report happening on the shore. Weirded me out, never seen anyone else there. They called me in but I just thought "Nope" Should have come out anyway, travelled all that way.
11:00 Freddy wearing that really touristy looking beanie with "Ostsee" (Baltic Sea in german) on it is just so fitting. Everyone surfing on this "Baltic Lake" is truly passionate about the sport and the sea.
Killer video! 😮 The execution and finished product has gotten a lot better lately. Maps to Nowhere is awesome 👏 and Dylan does a great job with the novelty and weirdo waves. Check out some of the older content, like the Uncharted series, or the Out Front videos.
One day in 20 years Dylan is going to be able spin a world globe, stop it with his index finger, and say “I surfed a fun little wedge there in 2014”. What a magical thing, and a life well lived.
Years ago I suggested to Nick Carroll a series like that. An homage to those who really worship this sport by dodging rare sessions and mean conditions. Mostly doing everything Windspelse too like windsports, foiling just to get out the most. He could not get it. Thought it was wierd.
The Baltic is a lot like the Gulf on the Westcoast of Florida. There are better waves around here than whats on video and in pictures. You just have to know Where and When to go its why i respect my Baltic Brethren.
Surfline is KILLING IT with the last couple of series, crazy to see such amazing surf content available for free
Yeah, it’s been getting better 👍
Stoked to see you like what we’ve been making! Credit goes to Dylan here, we’re just stoked to share it 🤙🏽
@@Surfline Yeah! Dylan has been on the odd wave hunt for a long time 👍 he’s got some really fun videos on his own UA-cam channel @DylanGravesYT
Yeah big improvement 👍
As a Swedish surfer, this was simply beautiful to watch. Put a smile on my face!

Truth - ive surfed that wave with about 10 people out all having fun getting their share mid Oct
That point session at the end is way, way, way better than what I've been surfing lately. I'd paddle out in a Speedo if I could get waves like that at this point.
+1... and also has waaay less crowd than were I surf in boardshorts ahhahaha
It's been flat here on the westcoast of Florida for two months and no end in sight.
Enjoy whatever can even push your board.

"The only failure is not to try" - George Clooney 😆
Honestly weird waves is my favourite surf content ever. Thank you to everyone involved in this series. I love weird waves!
SUCH A GOOD SERIES
Stoked you dig it!
Nice that you came to the baltic sea for surfing. Finding some waves in the Red Sea would be also nice stuff for an episode
I'm into it, any leads or people to chat to from there?
This theme song makes me feel so good to be a surfer! thanks you guys for getting these stories out there! love watching them
When are we going to see a TG appearance?!
do an episode in darwin, northern terrritory Australia, thiers a good little scene of die hards that surf the cyclones with the crocs and jelly fish every year. Epics episode these little surf community's are so full of joy!

Every one of Dylan's videos gets me so stoked!
To Dylan and all of the sponsors thank you for putting great content!!!
Happy you’re enjoying it!
Mega stoke!

epic episode and dylan was ripping , mustve been best turn ever done there- aswell as freddy who seems like a cool guy and surfs sooo good
So fun to see how stoked people are to see Dylan show up 😊. The stoke passes on to the viewer too. Great episode ✌🏼
“Back in the day” kinda vibes. The Aloha spirit is alive and well in Sweden🇸🇪. Also, Linn surfs pretty damn good. 🤙🤙🤙
These are so good, Dylan. Seriously keep making these, please.
We agree!
It is awesome to see so much stoke in a place you never would believe people surf.
Been waiting for this episode for so long. Love it!!
Baltic surfer myself but from germany. The Point at the end is so crazy good. Cant wait for Winter seeing this
Dylan and the crew are capturing something special with Weird Waves, especially in this episode!
Linn's killing it on that last wave!
Weird Waves, always being the good vibes!
Dylan seems like the best friend you've never met. What a dude.
Dylan is a legend! Super genuine frother ...I still wanna see 6-10ft Teahupoo but this is epic as well
Such Stoke!
Aloha and ❤ Sweden
Thanks Dylan for sharing 🤙

Should have come out anyway, travelled all that way.
Swedens surfing reminds me of at home in the Great Lakes you’re just stoked to be in the water. Even though our conditions are so inconsistent.
As a Baltic surfer myself I can relate a lot to your community at the Great Lakes!
Yeah, hundop. Lake surfer here, my buddy drove around for 10 hours to surf waves most people in California wouldnt even walk down the street for.
This makes me so grateful for what we have. I am dreaming.
11:00 Freddy wearing that really touristy looking beanie with "Ostsee" (Baltic Sea in german) on it is just so fitting. Everyone surfing on this "Baltic Lake" is truly passionate about the sport and the sea.
I love these episodes
short interval and not wanting to duck usually mix well.. sick series, keep it going!
you just go for it i love those ooh we‘ll see what happens not the cleanest day sessions😊
These videos make me smile
😃🤙
So stoked to see this! 🤙🏻🇸🇪

Good stuff.
that turn tho. with booties you reminded me of that Ratboy collins stylie 👌🏻⚡️
great waves! Wow! I know the western baltic...
Epic!
One day in 20 years Dylan is going to be able spin a world globe, stop it with his index finger, and say “I surfed a fun little wedge there in 2014”. What a magical thing, and a life well lived.
So epic! Man I love these videos
Killing it Dylan
It looks like normal NJ 😆. And the good old January brain freeze duck dive 😆.
There are a lot of spots. Just not necessarily Sweden. My favorite body of water in the world, still, and I’ve been everywhere.
Linn is killing it
👏👏👏 Rad episode!
Great video🤘
The guy with the little Simmons has the right idea.
Years ago I suggested to Nick Carroll a series like that. An homage to those who really worship this sport by dodging rare sessions and mean conditions.
Mostly doing everything Windspelse too like windsports, foiling just to get out the most.
He could not get it. Thought it was wierd.
Where can we find the theme song playing at 7:55 ? That was a sick episode btw
Sick vid 🤙🏽
🤙🏽🤙🏽
The coasts with the worst waves have the nicest surfers. Fact
Can't believe how that point made wind slop a fun wave
So sick that you rode an Arakawa there!
K-Bay ❤
Epic
great video. lynn (sp) you were ripping!
Hey Dylan come to Nh Maine or Cape cod in the winter or Fall 🥶
down
Weird Waves 🤝🏼 cold waves
what's going on at the 7:17 - 7:22 mark
That’s funny I have that same board from Eric Ariwakai. It’s a super skate. Mine is 5’10” swallow tail
Prime 🤟🏾
4 degree water temp. Pure madness. 14 is about my limit.
Such a killer vid Dylan
Dylan you should go to North East UK. Nicest people in the world with class waves and an industrial setting - you might be surprised.
Graves 2024!
Okay, if it’s not too cold for the Swedes to surf the Baltic, then it’s not too cold for me to surf Lake Michigan.
That guy sponsored by BMW? 😂 12:51
Yes he is 😊
Hey Dylan come to Nh or Maine or Cape cod in the winter or fall🥶
🤙Yeah D 🙏
🤘😎
Similar to what we get in Lake Michigan
I fav weird waves.
Haha I'm definitely a lover of diehards and a die hard myself. The best
When I’m traveling I’m looking for a 7’4. Dylan: 5’4.
No frio for me no way😂😂😂
How's that chick wearing Rip Curl H Bomb heated vest? Cool to see that after all these years
What FKN maniac was shooting water 😲
IKEA x Weird Waves collab?
The Baltic is a lot like the Gulf on the Westcoast of Florida.

professional surfer and the only board he has is a 10 year old grom board?
I imagine he rides bigger, thicker boards than DG so gave him something that suited him. And Freddy Meadows isn't a pro anymore.
Frothy
this was nastyyy. is it a back lip in surfing or diff?
It looks like normal NJ 😆. And the good old January brain freeze duck dive 😆.
