Fun Fact: the man giving the interview is Larry Matysik, a legendary name in wrestling in St Louis. He was a promoter and announcer for Wrestling at the Chase, a weekly wrestling show that ran in St Louis from ‘69 to ‘83. He was a former owner and promoter of the St Louis Wrestling Club, which acted as the St Louis branch of the NWA. He even established the St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2007. His wife, Patricia, was my English teacher in my Sophomore year of high school. She was one of the first people who made me feel comfortable to talk about wrestling in public. She actually gave me an autographed copy of his last book “50 Greatest Professional Wrestlers of All Time” a week before it came out in stores. He died in 2018.
Wow, I would've loved to see those two mix it up back then. I loved it back then with matches of guys who weren't even feuding but they'd wrestle at a house show. I remember the Ultimate Warrior as the Dingo Warrior being counted out against Nickolai Volkoff.

RIP Larry Matysik!
They couldn't have hired an uglier guy that's that successful.
Rip Larry!
Piper and Roberts. Two of my all-time favourites
***REAL TALK***
That tonality and those eyes ...chills
Jake is so effortless
The devil has no holidays. Wow
Hell Night: Do I look like a joke to you?
Halloween: Hold my red wine in the goblet!
In my eyes, Jake was the first true antihero in mainstream pro wrestling.
Nothing but POETRY from this man.
Damn!!!! There was no better promo than Jake! MJF eat your heart out little boy!
So good! I want to see Roddy's response.

Jake here is 3 years younger than I am now.......if I didn't have a beard I'd look like a teenager lol, Jake looks like he could be a rough 45 lol
Rough childhood and crack pipes will do that to ya
I'd love to see that match
Jake had the best finishing move in the business with the DDT.
This could have been an evil tag team.
Is that my building
Jake the Snake vs Piper would have been epic.
We needed a Jake Roberts / Magnum TA "loser shaves their mustache" match. DDT vs Belly to Belly Suplex.
Thats dumb I'd say DDT vs DDP 🔹 cutter😊
@@rosannaburt3048 That would be a great match but Magnum was in a class of his own.
@@RedfishCarolina not sure think best belly to belly is rkos
Jake and Magnum T.A. look so much alike!
His voice was higher back then
Poetic.
"The devil has no holidays."
RIP Larry Matysik.
Was that Russell Kinsaul?
Hol!sh!t he's tough I guess they all were back then!
Jake Roberts was a better Magnum TA than Magnum TA
