I hated these commercials. Jake was great but these commercials really didn't mesh with the realism that NWA/WCW was better at.

Most signs point to the DDT/Snake Pit segment having taken place on the December 10th, 1986 WWF Challenge taping in Tuscon. That night they taped December 21st, December 28th, and January 11th episodes (January 4th was a best of, December 14th had been taped from Rockford.) In order for this segment to make sense, you'd assume the Snake pit segment must have been aired before this match- yet the 21st & 28th episodes of Challenge both had Snake Pit segments that weren't Hogan/Roberts. Were those not seen in Providence and possibly Winnipeg? Also, this youtube video itself is interesting. I'm guessing this was a Providence-only edit of Spotlight? Obviously none of the performers involved could have imagined the landscape of wrestling history in the 2020s with the internet- but even then it must have seemed weird to be doing in-market promos knowing the rest of the country was oblivious to what was being talked about here.
