This makes me think of a circus, one that has fallen into ruin. Cold and abandoned after being burned down years prior, lives lost with it. Haunted by the spirits of the clowns and the dancers and the great magician. Broken, lost with what was once their home, now a purgatory or repeating memories and nightmares of the fire that took them and a circus they called home. A dancer sobbing as she pirouettes endlessly on an empty stage, all she wanted was to be a star and to have all the love and attention. A juggling acrobat who never stopped smiling now filled with vengeance after the circus he was born and raised in had been taken from him. A sad clown pondering if this empty void in his chest is better than the sadness he felt in life, perhaps feeling something was better than feeling nothing at all. Endless tears and cries, their heartbreak can be heard all across this haunted circus, those who enter always leave feeling something broken in their chest. The spirits forever longing for a peaceful rest, one which was stolen from them when their lives were taken so unexpectedly...
