Miss that 727 real jet sound. Sometimes you would hear the 3 wind up at slightly different times or throttle back at different rates. Miss the thump as it left the runway. Real Flying. Miss those light empty flights from the 90's. Thanks for posting

JMMT7022801 I tried it one time om a Singapore 777 from Copenhangen to Singapore, no more than 40 people, had the whole row for myself, amd the attendants treated us like kings. This was back in 2004 tho. In the 90s I flew the Varig MD11 often from Copenhagen aswell, also had a few well empty flights, even got bumped to business class because of it a few times.

The camera work is great. You showed us what it was like to be in the cabin. You did not do what everyone else does, and stick the camera to the window for the entire flight. That shows us nothing but what is outside. You gave us the experience of flying in it which is the whole point of these kinda of videos, but everyone seems to miss that.

Delta loved those 3 engine planes back then, most of them were 727s and L1011s. I remember even further back in the early 1980s, flying through Atlanta and we boarded onto a Delta 707. TWA had the 707s too, but they were gone by the mid 80s. I think it had something to do with their fuel efficiency and noise, the 707s were louder than the 727s, DC9s, and L1011s

In 2019, Delta or AA wouldn't think twice about cancelling a flight like this with this light of a load. Unless they needed the aircraft re positioned somewhere. I remember flying on 727s at AA. My mother worked for AA for 30 years and I flew allot as a child (non rev) in the 80s and 90s. It was common to see flights like this with light loads, and we could often get first class. Now, you are lucky to just get a seat as a non-rev and often don't. First class as non rev? Forget about it. Most people in First class today are using miles to upgrade anyway. This was a nice trip down memory lane. lol...And yes, every flight I have been on the past few years has been packed to the brim.

People have universally become selfish and rude anymore vs. the old days.
Then there's the fact that everything has become so mindless and boring these days. Quiet and smooth, quiet and smooth, quiet and smooth. Some of us enjoy the sound of engines - both in our cars and airplanes. Unfortunately most mindless idiots would rather have silence so they can enjoy their shitty mainstream pop and talk on their cell phones and blah blah blah in peace.

@@TWATWA-qy4zn , i remember in the 1980s, 727s being surprisingly quite during takeoff, from inside the plane. However, I wondered why other 727s taking off nearby sounded so much louder than ours did. And I realized later, that we were often seeing other 727s from the sides and behind those other planes taking off. Like for example, when lined up, and seeing the 727 in front of us take off, its engines would be roaring as it was speeding up away from us, but we were seeing and hearing that plane from the back of it, behind the engines where the loudest noise was. When we took off, we're in front of the engines, which was quieter. The loudest noise is behind the engines. I just didn't understand that back then. As quiet as it sounded from the inside, I'm sure that our 727 sounded just as loud to the plane behind us as the 727 in front of us did to us.

I was sat beside him...didn't know who he was as back in the day I liked the Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets and The Charlatans...I asked him what he was flying to the UK for and he replied.."Start of our world tour" I said that I didn't mean to be disrespectful but which band was he a member of...then he told me. I have a fantastic 14 or so hours with him before they let us off the plane and put us on a fleet of buses back to Heathrow.

And we wonder why so many airlines have gone out of business?

Im kinda shocked that Delta was even running a 727 on that short of a flight. Seems to me that a 737-200 would have been a better choice

I remember flying a Delta 727 from Cincinnati to Cleveland in the early 90’s.
