Thanks brother, your tutorial is what I needed. My cell phone suffered a fall at work and only the wide-angle lens was damaged. The cracks could be repaired, greetings from Mexico
Hello, the parts of my s22 ultra have been scratched. your video is of great atida, but is it original lens or plastic? Did you put it back in the water? Thank you
No I have not tested water after the repair. I would recommend avoiding water after repair unless the tech said it will not do anything if you put in water. Generally after repair it can still be water resistant but most of the time it won't be as resistant as if it was new
Do you not need to heat the glue? Is the glue on the glass? I have seen videos where the glue is in a brown leaf so Im a little confused. Thank you for the video btw.
Hi, I have recently tried removing the glass without heat on the S24 Ultra ua-cam.com/video/onxtAvL2LpQ/v-deo.html it works out well but it's better with heat as I did the rest of the glasses using heat it was easier and faster. A Hairdryer will also work (max power and maybe double the time I showed in the video with the s24 Ultra Camera Glass Replacement). This is just a guess as I have not scientifically tested and record the times using a Hairdryer 😅.
Hi, after this repair I suggest to avoid water (do not purposely plunge your device in water for longer than 5 minutes). In theory the device should still be water resistant but at a lower scale. They rated it ip68 30mn so after a repair like this maybe you will get 5 minutes(safe) that's why I suggest to avoid water. After the repair it might do more than 5 minutes safe but will highly depend on the parts used and type of double sided tape. (Pre attached to the glass or not preattached) God bless you too and your family✌🏽
Hi thx for the video, so after you peeled off the piece, there is actually another glass underneath it right? So pretty much there are 2 layers before it will touches the actual lens inside the phone.. and the bottom part underneath what you peeled off is the glass case that glue on to the case? Thanks again...Really good job
Sorry the correct term is camera bazel...What I mean is there is a lens protector or the glass piece on top of the bazel ... Right? So is like double layers?
I definitely hate this phone. I've had it for two months and the camera glass just... Fell off. There's nowhere to have it fixed under warranty and Best Buy charges $100, so here I am watching this to learn how to fix my defective $1,400 phone.
Sorry to hear that. These warranty are very hard to use it's like they will repair for free only for the worst scenarios. (Basically useless that's why they all sell coverage for repair immediately with the phone...all these places have so kind of program for repair 😅 generally subscription to milk on the long term)
@@ersbit yeah, it's crazy! I bought it from Samsung in May of '22 and as of this week I've had to replace every single camera lense myself. I'm glad you made this video. You're a life saver!!
In this video I was using High. Heating for a few second "while moving around" staying on one spot can damage the cameras. The heatgun description said high 1112 F and 572 F for low
Yes. But it would be as good as replacing the glass itself. The protector will protect and things will still find way inside the phone. Either you replace the camera glass or simply replace the whole rear cover (those are the most complete ways). You can have a protector as a temporary solution ONLY 😄
Truthfully you should have it available, but I do not know where. The easiest you can do is look at amazon india for the camera glass or ebay. Ebay will ship internationally if the item is not in your location.
It's definitely glass. There's a plastic circular tape that hold the glass and the camera frame together. You might be talking about that plastic circular tape.

Samsung has been using grayish tapes for camera glass and back glass for a long time. Brown I don't know if that's original.
Thanks! Fixed my phone successfully with this!
You're welcome 👋🏽 thanks for stopping by
Good afternoon! After the repair, does it still waterproof? Thanks for the video! May God bless and protect your life and your family!

U shouldve had an ESR lens protector with it
Does water resistance would still there like how the company camera glass provides
No consider it not water-resistant
There's no way to test after replacing the part unless you try and risk to damage the phone.
after replacing glass 1x camera washed issue solved or not, because I have this same issue I am little worried I spend a lot.
非常に有用な情報をありがとうございます。
取り替えたガラスにより夜景の撮影などで性能が落ちていることは無いでしょうか?もしよろしければ検証お願い致します。
Ohh, pretty cool that the camera's clear even its not the factory-installed glass.
Yes, there's no reason why it shouldn't be the same as before unless dust had time to settle or parts used where not of the highest available quality.
How many degrees is your heatgun set to
My heatgun is two levels, High and Low
@@ersbit so high or low? How many degrees is high??

Where did you get the glass from cos my top screen cracked too
Hey I have the links in the description for the glasses
Thanks

Amazing tutorial. I just have one question: Can I replace the broken part with a protector instead of another cover?
Yes. But it would be as good as replacing the glass itself. The protector will protect and things will still find way inside the phone.

Thanks for the compliments 😄. Hope the video was helpful and informative.

My camera lens protector just fell by itself, I bought a replacement. Hoping I can change it by myself
