My first race I ever went to was for the Coca-Cola 600 in 1990. I was able to go three years in a row, and a few times to Richmond in the '90s. NASCAR has done quite a lot to ruin racing since then.
Horse power doesn’t mean anything on any engine. What you want to be looking at is the TRQ . You can have a 1000hp car with 300ftlbs of trq and it’s slow as hell. The typical r07 unleashed would be 850hp 445ftlbs Trq. They are made to have high end trq but they still have pretty decent low end trq I’ve went riding in a r07 and sb2.2. Both have trq in the mid 400’s about. Which is pretty decent you would burn the tires off of a road car with that amount. That’s about the max you can do the stock cars don’t have enough downforce to be running 700ftlb trq you would never stop spinning to hook up
@@f1sherman52 2015 that's when they started with those shit engines, you go back and listen to what they sounded like with 850 horsepower and tell me they don't sound any different i tell you your out of your mind, sound weak and then and slow!!, now, used to be throaty and deep and just nasty.
my first race. I listened in on a radio scanner in the infield. It was magical to finally be at a race

I know it’s impossible because of safety but it would be so cool if they could enter and exit at full speed

@@badmonkey2222 I like watching the cars go fast and the sounds to be nasty!
@@klk1900 NASCAR is all about top end power, which torque has little to do with. There's a reason they only hit 185 instead of 215 at michigan now.
Is it just me or did that seem really slow
its just you
