@@MMM-wg2vm you are tone deaf. The sound PITCH is way higher. its insane. The rpm is WAY higher. up near 10,000 rpm. Plus, they were running x pipes (crossover) for the exhaust. Now days they are just one exhaust pipe on each side coming from each header. They do not crossover as they did before. Hence the deeper growl in the next-gen car. Anything from 2014 and before had the SCREAM that all of us crave and yearn for now....and if you go listen to todays cars, and then come back to this....and STILL dont see a difference... then i dont know what to tell you, other than you may need hearing aids.
@@2jsalomon Nah, back in 2012, they had the same engine and exhaust setup as they did in 2021, which is the year he was talking about btw. The comment date was two years ago. Only thing that changed thru 2021 was the maximum revs, which doesn't change the sound of the engine itself, but the maximum pitch of the engine note. There are a lot of differences between the next gen car and, but that's not what we were talking about. horsepower figures do not affect engine sound in any distinguishable way.
@@MMM-wg2vmdude even different fuels can change the sound of an engine. Ever heard a top fuel car switch from alcohol to nitro methane? They have a completely different sound and the hp is a whole lot more. Obviously not nascar but the cars once they started taking away hp did sound different
