Saturday morning, coffee, and a new episode! Just what I needed! :D Getting the final evolution for your starter is always a magical moment. Especially one like Charizard that makes you wait a little longer. I'm excited for the endgame, and hope to see at least a couple of battles between you two before the end. Thanks again!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank YOU for watching! =D My favourite part is how long Charry was sitting at level 35 because Safia got to the "water part" of the game...lol And don't worry, there will definitely be more battles between us!
It's been so long! Not quite as long for you (Since you've been watching faster than the glacial pace at which we've been uploading these), but still very long! haha
Hooray, another episode! Lovely to see Charry's long-awaited sprouting of wings. Your speech-bubble comment at 21:00 about the part of the music we're at makes me want to forward you this fascinating conference talk, the second half or so of which is about the amazing modular structure of the Pokemon Mansion music: ua-cam.com/video/VOF-SijlAU8/v-deo.html
Charry is now immune to Ground type moves, and weak to Electric moves, and I'm not sure if Safia knows...(I just realized this when you said "wings", haha) That video is definitely going on my to-watch list! I've always found retro game music to be really interesting. I feel like game music started to lose the magic around the PS2/GC era, and that magic was almost gone by the PS3/Wii/360 era.
@@BabusGameRoom Agreed yeah! I think it's very much a case of limitations stimulating creativity--the early systems had such limited capabilities that composers had to be really clever with the tools, whereas nowadays there's so much available that they can do basically anything, and that's surely cool and fun in many ways, but also maybe means there's more of a tendency to write generic same-y things.
@@Cherodar I was really disappointed with how every game seemed to have orchestral scores that lacked catchy melodies around the PS3 era...haha What's your favourite retro console for sound tracks?
@@BabusGameRoom Yeah, the "big thick sound with no melody" thing seems to have become sadly common! As for my favourite console musically speaking... it's hard to say, partly because I didn't have much back in my day really! I was mainly a Gameboy kid, so those tend to be the games and soundtracks I know best, but there are some great ones for the NES, SNES, and Sega that I've managed to get to know and love too. How about yours?
@@Cherodar I've definitely got a lot of nostalgia for the sound of the Game Boy, especially late GB and early GBC era games. The sound of GOOD Genesis games really hits me right in the nostalgia, but it's hard to put it up there since there are so many games that do it wrong. Overall, it would probably have to be the SNES though. It felt like CD-quality music back in the day, just without the actual CD quality! haha
FINALLY ... Charry evolve ! Feel like an eternity that he's level 35 and I was always saying to myself 'Come on, juste one more level !' Flambée, Flamboyant, it's always funny to hear an english person trying to say those french words. :P Hope the Fire Gym is not too far away to see. :)
Charry probably got to Level 35 right before all the Water routes...and then Seafoam Islands...it was brutal for poor Charry! haha Interestingly, we don't think of Flamboyant as a French word! There are a lot of words that we (embarrassingly) don't know the origins of. But Flambée is one of the words we know is French. Just like cliché! The Fire Gym will be coming AT MOST 2 weeks from today! We should be able to keep a weekly schedule going, at least. Hoping to get us back to twice a week, but I won't promise that yet. =)
@@BabusGameRoom Oh oh ! I will be looking forward to the next episode then, I think that Safia will maybe need to do some grinding for the fights to come (Maybe not Fire Gym itself, but what's after). We're aproaching some end zone soon it seems! :) Very exciting !
@@rozaryoGX Editing the videos has made us realize how close we are. We're excited to be able to record again, and also to be able to share it with you and everyone =D
My hinting about the fossils wasn't enough...but check out the 2021 Safari Zone update video if you haven't yet! I think it's that one where we show that, haha

Charry is not a dragon! Haha stupid I know but it's not dragon
He tries, and that's what matters!
