    Brought one of these for my son today, with the accompanying 2bb reel, he's only 8 and quite small so it should be perfect for him as a first carp rod

    Heya mate really enjoyed watching your review on this rod and even happier to see a 20lb fish caught on it. I am actually buying 2 of these rods myself with the reels off of Amazon to fish a local fishery's specimen pool which has fish upto 38lb in so great to see it can hold its own. Hopefully I can land the 38lb on one as the owner claims you need 12ft rods with a 3lb test so really would love to see his face. Anyway great review mate thanks and tight lines.

    Got one myself at 6 foot and one at 8 foot,Mine are the camo versions which look fantastic,I also have the 9 foot dynamic margin stalker in camo with a 2.5lb test curve.Im not keen on the 6 foot one,bit too short for me but the 8 and 9 foot ones are great,if you are catching 20lb plus I would recommend the 9 footer with 2.5lbs test curve,it's a few quid more but worth it for length and power but I love the 8 foot 2lb camo carp stalker rod the most for the lovely action with 5lb to 15lb carp,These are great summer rods for margins or close in fishing.worth every penny,strong and the camo versions look more expensive than what they are,Real bargain's but I wouldn't bother with the 6 foot version,might be suitable for a 7 to 11 year old though if fishing for smaller f1s and tench.

    The Dynamic Travel Carp is also an awesome piece of kit. I love NGT stuff. Going to buy the cross-pod next.

      Have a look at the nomadic pod. I have a video on it. I think it's better.

    Great little rod. I see some guys forking out a small fortune for sawn offs, or whatever, and these do the job just as well. I was also surprised how far I could cast with them. Because the power is quickly transferred to the butt section, a simple flick and 60 yards is no trouble. So, really more than just a margin rod

    I use Nash scopes rods high end expensive rods for carp fishing but as I write this in my camper on the east coast and came across a ngt 4 piece travel rod in "boys," can't spell today lol. Anyway I bought it and a cheap reel to do some sea fishing and to be honest IDE even use it to go carp fishing, it really is a nice little that does what it's supposed to. Anyone in a budget shouldn't worry about ngt tackle it's good very good for the money £25 my 4 piece...wow 👍

    Hi mate,
    I have one of these rods. My local tackle dealer recommended it when i started fishing a couple of years ago. He said they were his biggest selling rod.
    It is a great rod and so light to hold too. I've caught tons of hard fighting Rainbow Trout on it
    Its funny but it never gets damaged compared to my expensive rods.

    Would these be any good for using a hair rig and pack bait as long as I didn't load it up to heavy asking since I just bought a couple

      Bryce Bullington with them 2lb test curse I wouldn’t recommend it for that. If you are make sure you don’t overload as it will make it difficult to cast.

    Hi I’ve just got the NGT Stalker Rod,6ft 2lb test curve. I had a 15lb common yesterday and it was a wicked fight,it bent double. I was just wondering what their limit is with the size of carp you can potentially catch on it? Thanks

    • @ngfishing4407
      @ngfishing4407  5 років тому

      As you seen in the video I had a 20lber. It’s all comes down to a number of factors. It’s you in open water with no snags then you can just play the fish until it give up. When it comes snags the rod is limited due to it test curve. Like you said yourself it just bend in half.

      NG Fishing ok cool,I only ask because I have a 6ft and you had a 8ft(I think),I thought it may be different for the smaller rod. Cheers

    • @ngfishing4407

      Yeah, I personally would be looking for something with are more sensitive tip. Something like a float or feeder rod would be better.

    What they like for surface fishing?

    • @ngfishing4407
      @ngfishing4407  4 роки тому +1

      Mark Fairbrother really good I used mine the last few years as a surface rod. The only downside is the length if you want to fish a range. The low test curve I feel helps when using small hooks in the surface.

      Corey Meredith reels are really a personal preference. The NGT dynamite baitrunners are a good fit for me as well has been excellent value for money.

      Hi John. I have used one for lure fishing. I wouldn’t recommend them for dead bait as they are to soft really.
