Just watched the video and saw that I have everything he used in my cabinets so I whipped it up. It’s in the oven now! Can’t wait to have it with some ice cream for dessert!
Please let us know how you liked it! 🙏
Well.... how was it?
you can't leave us hanging lol. how was it?
I think I’ll make this with lemon zest and juice!
I made this recipe for an old Southern friend of mine. He said it was better than his momma’s, praise indeed!
I made this, but I only had frozen blueberries. They sank to the bottom during baking -- I suspect I needed to sprinkle them with some flour first. Didn't matter though-- it was still insanely delicious. Thank you, Lawman! OM NOM NOM!
This was absolutely delicious. Our family always gives recipes a score. This scored a 100/100. Chefs kiss!!
So good, so simple and a bit hit at our house and with our guests. Used frozen blueberries dusted with flour The condensed milk hack is genius. Thanks to those who posted ingredient amounts and conversion for using regular flour. Worked like a charm.
I really appreciate the history of food staples. Might will leave mine in there just a tad longer to brown a bit.
I'd add a little lemon zest. It'll make it pop.
Yet another recipe that uses 1 can of sweetened condensed milk for my arsenal, thank you guys so much. I'm going to add the juice and zest of 1 lemon to the cobbler to guild the lily.
Thank you, Lawman!
Have to make this because it’s so simple to achieve and I LOVE blueberries!! Thanks for the recipe!
Yummy delicious. Thank you... I made it for desert tonight.
Making this tonight!
Toni your hair looks amazing 🤩!
I think I’ll bring this to my brother’s Father’s Day/Juneteenth celebration.
Same here!!
This is a go-to!
YUM!!! And so easy!
Thank you ! 😊
Looks delicious 😋❤❤
Missed you Lawman ❤
Follow up. I made this a couple of days ago and it is amazing and so easy! I bought a little tub of ice cream for the first time in over 20 years to top this and it was worth it! Problem now is that I can't stop eating a spoon or two of the vanilla (with seeds) ice cream I bought! lol!
No I love a crust for my cobbler- not a cake but it looks good Enjoyed!!watching ❤
Phew That Man is sooooo Fyne ❤❤❤
Looks so easy, I might even be able to not screw it up! LOL Thank you!
I wonder can this same recipe be used with peaches?
I have. You can use either fresh or canned. If you use canned drain off the juice or syrup.
Blackberries, cherries pretty much any fruit.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tried the recipe and it was great, but as a persnickety detail: isn't this technically more of a buckle than a cobbler?
So easy and perfect for all the fresh summer berries and stone fruit coming. Will be giving this a try with lemon zest and maybe a pinch of salt in the batter or using salted butter. And, yes, by pausing the video it was very easy to write down this simple recipe. Good grief...
A little trick someone taught me: a tiny pinch of espresso powder or instant coffee powder in cobbler batter really makes it pop. Serving it with whipped cream and a cup of black coffee for a fall morning? PURE bliss.
YUM!!!
Please make more friuts desserts cakes . Especially moist Carrot cakes
🙏🙏🙏
Is it wrong to wipe your chin while watching this video? This recipe is how I like my desserts: simple and full of blueberries.
Margaret Thatcher in the B&W image at 1:17?? Mind blown.
It really does look like her. Probably someone else though.
She was the daughter of a grocer. That is indeed her.
@Ozzie-in-CT That is indeed Margaret Thatcher (likely still Roberts at that point), food chemist. Before politics and the law, she graduated from Oxford with a degree in chemistry.
@@sandrah7512 She was a sharp cookie. That Meryl Streep movie was awful.
I thought that I’d watch this video to see if you done anything different than what my wife had done for years, the answer is no. Still it’s a great video for newbies.😊
I think this is a blueberry buckle.
This looks more like clafoutis?
♥️
Looks great, pity I can’t take dairy anymore!
Interesting that you don't even need to add a touch of lemon to boost the blueberry.
That was Thatcher, the Iron lady
That's what I thought. She's burning in hell now.
At 1:17....TY I knew I wasn't imaging that...her father was a grocer.
Perhaps she's making this in hell.
@phylliscraine “Her father was a grocer”?? Thatcher graduated from Oxford with a degree in chemistry. She worked briefly as a food chemist before becoming a barrister (politician and Prime Minister).
I would try this but it's definitely not a cobbler
Hence the air quotes, for those who lack a sense of humor.
This recipe rewrites how a Cobbler is made.
Maybe it should be called an
(Upsidedown Cobbler).
Its just a cake
Is there a substitute for the condensed milk? Something no so processed?
No.
There are lots of different recipes online for making your own condensed milk. I haven't tried it myself, but I think I just might.
Sweetened condensed milk (aka condensed milk): A product invented in the 19th century to prevent children from dying due to consuming tainted milk and used as field rations during the US Civil War. Made in a basic process that likely hasn't changed significantly (other than with the use of better equipment). Contains sugar and milk. So processed...
Condensed milk is sugar and milk, cooked down. (The can literally says "INGREDIENTS: SUGAR, MILK.")
0:14 ...Hmm? Oh, right, wrong channel.

...
*clack-clack*
Phew, much better.
:'D
This recipe is so fast, they had to pad the segment with 4 extra minutes of other people talking
Too much sugar!
his mic is too low
I love Julia and all but she likes to badger the test cooks and play devils advocate.
Not anywhere NEAR enough blueberries... or butter. And condensed milk... and then milk? Why both?
Thanks for the effort, but I prefer my recipe.
Condensed milk is quite thick. The milk is likely to help thin out the batter. 🤷🏼♀
@@sandrah7512 So why not just use milk and sugar? They're trying to reinvent the wheel as a square 😂
@@johnbartholf777Uhh… Kinda obvious but it’s probably too thin at that point?
@@johnbartholf777 ATK has another version - Texas-Style Blueberry Cobbler - that uses all-purpose flour, sugar and milk. Chalk this one up to as solution to a "Condensed milk? I don't even remember buying this!" situation.
That's a shame you lock all your recipes instead of telling your audience. Maybe lose the ego? Lots of options on social media!
Exactly recipes should be shared for the most part but charging for access to them is ridiculous
The options on social media are supported by advertising. ATK doesn’t have ads, so you can trust their product reviews.
For a out 20 dollars you can the 2024 Cooks Country Recipe Book on either Abe Books or Thrift Books and Amazon
The vid gives the ingredients and amounts.🤷🏼♂️
For this video at least, all you had to do was listen, know how to write and spell. He told you all of the recipe and how to bake it.

Ignorant troll.
How healthy is that? It looks so 18th/19th/20th century, seems to me completely unaffected by any thought about healthy nutrition.
So don't eat it. There, problem solved.
I think the point of this video has eluded you
Who cares??
No one claimed they were making something healthy here.
@@KyzylReap Every at least halfway sane person.
good thing - I can watch you here - don't watch PBS anymore for their unfair news coverage and one-sided reporting
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And don’t get me started on the Sesame Street agenda 🙄
@@biancar481 LOL! 👍
😂 Hahaha MAGA moron 🧡
They provide facts, how horrible! How one sided lol.
Ugh, this has gross infomercial vibes
Thank you, Lawman!
Lawman's great, but this recipe was developed by his colleague Bryan Roof.
