The CX650C was a US only model as well as being a one year only model, so the body parts really are rare. Here in Canada we got the euro styled CX650E, as well as the GL650 tourer. They were imported for two years, 83-84. I have a 78 CX500 and am a big fan of the twisted twin motor.
I got 1 of these , they are great bikes. A buddy mine past away and left the bike to me. It had 3,500 miles on it when I got it. I looking to get sissy bar for mine. 1 suggestion,,,, get rid of the red on yours. I have mine here on UA-cam. Safe riding
@Alec Berkheimer Hi I just bought this exact bike in January (in red). I’m having trouble finding a sissy bar. Can you comment on the exact make and model (number) of the one you bought? As you said in the video, I’m nervous about paying for one that’s not exactly stock for the bike and have it not fit. Thanks very much.
Unfortunately I do not know the make and model of it. If you measure the bolt locations for the seat you should be able to find one that would work. The original hondaline ones are very difficult to find and expensive
Thanks. Yeah I can’t find an original one. I wanted to ride to work but I need to bring a cooler and it’s fairly large and no matter what I do it doesn’t feel comfortable enough strapped to the up seat. I’ll try that. Thanks.
I cringe when someone has a semi rare vintage bike and feels the need to stickerize, mufflerize and otherwise just dork it up. The CX650 Custom in particular. One of only 1,200 ever imported to the USA, and a number of those went to motorcycle schools as trainers. There are plenty of mass market bikes around to do such kid mods to. Those OEM turn signals and grips are available & cheap. Put some foam grip puppies on them if you have big hands.
