One of the best lectures....He is easy to listen to and understand. I would have to refer to the quote from Jeffery R. Holland...regarding Peter. I don't think Peter ever denied that he was an apostle. Elder Holland says that "we don't know the protective council Christ gave him". "Thou shalt" can be a command, not a prediction of future actions. Think of the 10 commandments - lots of "thou shalt" there...other than that - this is excellent!
Love this quote. President Kimball gave a talk called "Peter, my brother", where he stated the same thing and said that Peters "betrayal" of the Savior seems so unbecoming of the chief apostle and Peter's character, and suggests that it's his opinion that this was a command from the Lord, as Peter was fiercely loyal and dedicated and was known to jump in and intervene (like at the garden of Gethsemane with his sword drawn).
An interesting thing is Daniel 12 it talks about the day of sacrifice ceasing. Which could have been March 25 2020 when all the temples in the world were closed. (If this was the sign) then it says in 1290 days the abomination of desolation will be set up. That beings us October 6th 2023 also with the Jews holiday sukkot. General Conference. IDK about it all but October 2023 Conference could be really good and also April 2024 Conference with the Eclipse happening the very next day after. Just things to look forward too. All we can do is prepare. Keep up the good work! good insight. I think we all like to think Jesus is going to come in our day. I think it shows that we do love Him and miss Him.
