I totally didn't save the timestamps when i wrote them lmao
Thank you very much, my guy; I'm a returning player/beginner, so this is extremely helpful for me.
Thanks for the guide Scrawt. Much love
Nice, I always wondered why I got CH by shield B when I tapped back and couldn't replicate. It was because of low moon gauge, thanks 🙏
Loved this video, man. Keep it up! Dying to see more guides, maybe one on el vampiro?
2.97k of your 3k goal right now, commenting to bless your algorithm
great stuff! hope we will get aoko guide sometime
Great guide, thank you
Thank you very much
Finally now I can escape the corner for once
Great video.
W vid thank you scrawt
Shield is a masochist mechanic. Not saying it's bad.
thank you sensei, now I gonna beat the shit out on F rank
comment for algorithm
Replying to boost
And dont forget the like
Another thing I think can be worth noted for why BC followup is a fairly bad gamble on offense is that not only is the risk higher cause of it's interaction with re-shield, it also beats more or less the same options as A followup for very similar reward. So even if you're "correct" and it wins, you could've probably done shield A and gotten a fairly equal reward.
Also, you mentioned B followup being faster on air shield, but only demonstrated it in air to air situations, but what if the person attacking into the shield is grounded? My quick testing is that it seems to show that you can get a fatal against even a tapped re-shield in that situation, but I haven't labbed it in any detail. Any more thoughts on that type of interaction?
Good video btw, concise and well formulated, would like to see some more MBTL guides like those that are actually by people who have delved into the current meta instead of just glimpsed at the release one.
Shield A will lose to safe jumps tho and even to a 5B that recovers fast enough to let opponent block your A follow and punish you as the video showcased earlier
So that doesnt completely nullify the benefit of BC follow no ?
@@Kardz6 The thing Scrawt is demonstrating with the 5B recovering and then blocking A followup is specifically for delayed A followup, not instant A followup, so an instant A followup will still win against 5B if the opponent doesn't re-shield.
The safe jump thing is true though, and it is indeed one of the few cases where offensive BC beats options that A followup doesn't. There's a reason I said "you could've probably done shield A and gotten a fairly equal reward" rather than "you can always do shield A and get a fairly equal reward".
@@Aipi ahhh i see
I confused myself with the 5b vs delay follow A demonstration
Thanks a lot for clarifying
Why is mbtl the only community that doesn’t keep up with the meta?
Bless the algorithm
Nice vid
I think Shiki may have a pressure reset now
Hey Scraw, not sure if your gonna see this message but just want to say thanks for the tips regarding counter plays against shields. I defiantly gonna try and implement some of this into my game plan. Additionally, would it be possible to do a character guide for Saber. The last one that I saw on UA-cam was posted over a year ago and I feel like some things might of changed since then.
Since it's almost instinct to shield once you get shielded, I always just don't press anything once I shield someone else since they almost always standing shield which I just get an easy fatal combo which can do about 5k or more. And if they low shield that's an easy grab or an overhead waiting to happen, so many people fall for it that I just keep doing it.
How do you counter ppl who do nothing after shielding ? Do i really need to BC out ?
I know that tap reshielding at >50% moon gauge will let you recover earlier to and block but some keep throwing me
@@Kardz6 If you're close enough and you just tapped shield you can just throw them, if you're not close enough you can probably just IAD to them, keep in mind they might have enough time to dp or something else though
@@Kardz6 Like what ostro said you can run up and grab or you can outright steal and have your turn which I've seen people do. High level players do this a good bit too.
@@ultimate8948 i see
I just played with some and looked into this situation more since i havent picked the game a lot but its starting to make sense now
Thanks for clarifying
@@ostro623 Thanks a lot ^^
