Based on my usage of Freedom, I personally think that maybe it is impossible to create a truly strict app that will help you resist your phone, because how the phones are set up. Who I believe should take the responsibility in making locking yourself out of the internet an option, are the device manufactures. I have iOS and I wish that Apple's Screentime had an option where I could literally lock myself out without giving someone else my Screentime passcode. They can do it, but they haven't. Hmmm. But until then, Freedom works pretty well.

I haven't tried to workaround it, after using it for several months I find it very reliable. I don't know if there are more hardcore apps, but in my opinion everything can be worked around with enough effort unfortunately. For me freedom meets my standards though
Actually there's a setting on the app where you can disable the IOS playstore so you can't even access it when you're doing a Freedom session if you click the box saying to disable the IOS store. This is why I truly believe Freedom is by far the best app to combat social media addiction.

happy to hear you also found it helpful! with addictive apps, it's better to block them than rely on "discipline" (which isn't there when needed)
