Hope this will encourage you to explore game lands around you! Make sure you have GPS, map so that you don't get lost off trail. Wear your orange blaze and don't wear white during deer season.
Cute birds. So out west there are no "game Lands". Out here, it is either, BLM or private lands. Hunting depends on units opened up or ranchers who allow hunting. So there is no "off" day in the woods during hunting season. Best to check in with the Ranger district on when lands are open for hunting season.
So, while this piece of public land isn't open to hunters on Sunday, some are and before you drive all the way to one to find out there's still hunting there, NCWRC has a map of all the public game land in the state online, and you can click on each one to find the regulations for when hunting is and isn't allowed.
Best to keep it on Sundays during rifle season to stay safe and not make hunters mad!
Loved the birds serenade 🎶
me: The director of the birds! LOL
