my brand new vm22 26m clone carb from amazon leaks gas out if the bowl drain and air filter i tried tightening the bowl as much as i can and it still leaks
Thank you bro. Have watched several videos. Many say basically almost similar things. LOL but definitely do not explain it as well. Everyone thinks everyone knows exactly what they are talking about like we are all dirt bike masters. LOL Thank you for explaining so it's understandable easily. When you do something often or daily things become easy.
I have a tbr7 that I put the nippi 28mm carb on to fix the bogging problem. Both bike and carb are brand new after installing carb bike won’t start no matter how I adjust air screw
Unfortunately that's the risk with buying an aftermarket carb. Did you try starting fluid in the engine or carb to see if it actually starts with that new carb?
@@MotocrossHideoutmine is the same way. It starts for a second with starter fluid and i can sometimes keep it alive by using the throttle but that is it. I have torn apart the carb cleaned it, inspected it. Idk any idea ?
I had my 1985 Honda 350r XL enduro restored cost around $2500. Rode it today for about half an hour. Went to get on it and ride right now, and it wont start and theres fluid coming out of a hole every time I kick. Just got it out of the shop. However, I may have not closed off the fuel when I wasnt riding it. Could have been some days. Any idea? This is my first bike too. Great condition.
Hello this is the description on the bike bike I’m looking at getting. “2004 ttr 125 Does run at the moment but carb needs either rejected or tuned it floods its self out after riding for a few minutes” what do you think the problem is?
What if my new Amazon carb float level is good but it’s still leaking through the filter seems like it just stays down when the float bowl is full causing the carb to leak
I took off the carb from my Honda 100xr and re installed it same everything but gas leaks trough the air filter, i tried to adjust the float and the needle valve isn’t damaged and works properly I’m not sure why and also it used to work really good but I wanted to clean the carb and now I’m having this problem happen
Sounds like the needle might be sticking open. You could try blowing compressed air into the overflow hose, otherwise might have to take the float and needle off and clean the seat with a q-stick.
I have a 1996 suzuki jr50 and it was sitting for a few years, I just put a ton of parts on it and got it running decent, but I got a new carb for it and no matter what I do, it won't stop flooding and dumping gas everywhere. Can you help?
I have a 2006 rm 250 I was trying to start it with the exhaust plug in. When I was kicking it there was white smoke that was coming out of the engine/tubes. I pulled the plug out. After realizing the plug was in, I pulled it out and now it will not start since
I have a 125cc dirt bike I got it and got to drive it for a day and had to feel it up so I did and now I can get it to start ones but if it starts it drives for a little and out off no where just stop running and now I can't get it to start at all all it does is try to start but can't get it all the way running
Hey Brandon, I recommend going through the steps in this video: ua-cam.com/video/0NBynupJlNQ/v-deo.html If it's a Chinese 125cc, they can be difficult to tune the carb because they aren't made the same quality as a name brand bike/carb.
I have a 2006 Suzuki 125L drz dirt bike it leaks gas’s from the tubs like if I where to drain the gas’s out of those tubs yeah it leaks gas’s from there what’s wrong with it?
I gave my 110 a topend rebuild put a new carb on mikuni knock off and it wont start not sure if the valves need adjusting tried to kick it and it bangs now and then thats it any advice
Hard to say, but the popping could be from incorrect cam timing or jetting that's too far off. I'd double check the cam timing - if it's off too far then you could bend/break a valve and have to rebuild it again...
@@MotocrossHideout I'm not sure how it cracked but it did crack on the side from the motor Inlet I ordered a new car but I just put it in and I'm still having issues to get it going for some reason now I'm just putting battery to charge fully and then giving it a go and see what happens

hello my dit bike hes a 85 sx ktm 2t 2019 and i have a crashe in the river so we clear the moteur and carb and its all set its not leaking but it wont start
Make sure you got all of the water out of the engine/exhaust/intake/carb/air filter. You might have to flush it out. Then make sure you're geting spark, fuel, and air and the engine still has proper compression. Let us know how it goes.
I just got a Chinese carb cheap for my 250 timberwolf it's very hard to start and when I get it started it runs for 3 min them shuts off and won't start again
I was riding my bike and next thing Ik gas start coming out of my carburetor gas line and there was another leak coming from this black gas line in the back of the dirt bike by the battery I replaced both lines and now it won’t start back up
The gas line from the fuel tank? If so, that needs to be replaced before riding again. If it's one of the carburetor overflow lines, that usually happens because the bike was tipped over or the float needle is stuck. You can try blowing a few quick shots of compressed air in the overflow line to see if that fixes the leak.
My motorcycle gas is leaking underneath and idk what it is since it smells like gas, and also I can start it and after a kilometer it will slowly die. After resting it tho, it will continue to run and it will slowly die again. Can you help me?
I’ve got a KLX125, recently replaced the carb since the old one was leaking from just about every seal on it. Got it on, ran fine no leaks or anything zero issues. Let it sit about a week (drained bowl before parking it). Went to start it today, and the second I turn on the fuel the overflow just POURS out gas, like a solid stream. Float stuck? Something wrong with one of the jets?
The needle and seat might be dirty/sticking. It might be fine if you just ride it around for a few minutes. If it's a cheap knock-off carb, they're known to have more issues because the jets/circuits/seals aren't as high quality as OEM.
@@MotocrossHideout I’ll stop you right there, cause it basically is a knockoff. Bought it off Amazon for basically 1/3 the price of a brand new OEM one. Only reason being, I trail ride my ATV more often. All my friends have bikes though, so I bought a beater just to put around on here or there. I didn’t feel the need to spend more $ on the OEM replacement.
@@MotocrossHideout and I’m thinking the floats sticking. When I swapped the carb, I also cleaned the tank and changed out the fuel petcock/filters + put in fresh gas. It ran fine for that day, no issue. Then I stored it (after DRAINING Carb w drain screw, didn’t let it run out of gas). My best guess is it got gunked up from sitting for 2 weeks without gas in there, because I tapped the side with a screwdriver and it started to leak a little less than before. Still a decent trickle, but not a Steady FLOW anymore. I’ll probs pull it off later today when I’m off work in a few hours and check it out. Hopefully I’m lucky and I can just pull off the bowl and blast the float + seat with carb cleaner since it’s all brand new, and only sat 2 weeks.
@@MotocrossHideout I got it pulled apart and honestly, nothing looks out of the ordinary. My best guess is the float height was set too high from factory, im gonna lower the float height slightly and see if that’ll fix the issue. Hopefully, not allowing as much gas in there prevents it from leaking

Is this a new problem? Sounds like an air leak, causing a hanging idle. ua-cam.com/video/UZ_1VZ-vEcU/v-deo.html
Could bad valves cause this on a four stroke?
Valves won't cause gas leak, but it could cause it not to start if they're worn/not adjusted correctly.

Does this work on quads? Because my quad is leaking fuel after we replaced the carb
Yep, I'd give it a try if you think it might be the cause.
can a cracked carb by the motor inlet or header to engine not make it start anymore
The aluminum body of the carb is actually cracked? Yeah that could definitely cause it. How did that happen?

If the engine wasn't fully warmed up, that would cause it to bog. I would change everything back to what it was first.

Dirt bike sat all winter long just tried starting it but won’t start and the overflow is leaking
