Finnaly another comment on this video after 4 years. This video brought back memroies for me. Especially the Holland Tunnel part. I rode in the car through that tunnel a lot. Thank you for posting!
Great soundtrack, great video and great bridges! Wow.... impressed and can't believe all these lanes and highway traffic in Jersey. And I was impressed with the small interstate gap... nice vid!
For someone who lived in Jersey city for some years, it brings back the memory of the drive . Though I usually took the US 1&9 and the went to I95 ; there were some time I took the same route as the video. Thanks for the sharing the same ! ☺️
Brandon, The video starts in the Holland Tunnel then goes across the Newark bay area, it's just showing what it looked like on a map back in 1951, I was simply showing the Holland Tunnel inset map because that is where the video starts.
I love how you drop hints of your song choices in recent videos. The New York/New Jersey highway system is one strange creature. Good videos, as always. See you in CT!
Two questions: 2:13: What in the world is that sticking off on the left? It looks like an oversized blown up Snoopy. 2:17: Was that the former westbound service plaza that was on the Newark Bay extension?
I love watching this video. I also enjoy the scenery on the NJ Turnpike ranging from Manhattan in the background up to the upcoming view of Giants Stadium.
Obviously, we have different taste in music, so that makes mine lame? just because you don't like the music, it doesnt mean the song choices bad unless you are just that self-centered..getting real tired of your comments too.
Still a part of I-78? I thought 78 ended where the Turnpike Extension ended. Wouldn't the BPR/FHWA have decommissioned 78 east of that point once they got word from the State of NJ that extending a freeway to the mouth of the tunnel would be unfeasible? Or do we have another Breezewood situation here?
Great job on showing My Home State. I been on trips taking the Holland Tunnel. That building you see at 2;07 is Liberty Science Center. It opened in 1993. Great Fun Place to check out plus that dome is where they have IMax movies at. Thanks =)
Great video but I-78 west needs an express local extension from Exit 48 to Exit 29 since the Junction with I-287 or I-95 gets heavy conjestion in rush hour period from 6am to 12pm or 6pm to 12am

Awesome drive, complete with awesome music! It's kinda funny, because 78 and the NJTP are my favorite highways, and U2 is one of my favorite bands!
Bro!! This tunnel very awesome and the music 1:04
Thank you!

It certainly looked like a beautiful day when you shot this. You make the NJ Turnpike look like a fun ride. Keep em coming Freeway Jim.

@@tallmadgeinsanityanimation9005 remember that lol
There’s a highway in CT that has a couple exits with traffic lights. It’s not an interstate but is an expressway. Route 9 in Middletown CT
I love how you drop hints of your song choices in recent videos. The New York/New Jersey highway system is one strange creature.

Countin' the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike. . .
Great video! I can't wait to see your newest New England videos!

Love the video Jim and great scenery of the industrial wasteland. Those roads are rough out there! Looking forward to New England.

I enjoy watching your videos, especially the NJ ones (Exit 17), but the music!!

Thank you! glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks I have several other NJ video that were released a few weeks before this one.
One of my favorite U2 tracks! Awesome!

I have a question. For a job do you have to travel a lot across the country, or is it just a hobby; What do you do?
Yes indeed, thank you!
Thanks, and it certainly was!
Thanks Kyle
Thank you!
will you ever come to Canada?
and cost....I completely agree with your sentiment.
Thanks!
Thanks....and you have a good point there :)
Them Jersey roads need to be repaired! Of course, that can be VERY hard to do considering the amount of daily traffic.
And ... that is the weirdest abbreviation of Newark ( New'k @ 3:20 ) I've ever seen.
Nice ride!
Oh this is just a hobby and I try to mix it in with vacations, but sometimes I'll take an indulgent joyride.
Sorry I took CT-8 up to Waterbury and then I-84 over to Hartford, no New Haven on this trip.
I dont think there were enough sections of 3 lane traffic at 3:48....
I have noticed that everybody on the nj Tunpike Had A GPS?
Actually, he's driving an Acura TL. It's at the end of the credits.
Why is the road so bumpy after 14th street ? : O
Probably because it has not been maintained in quite a while.
I very much like! Awesome! :)
I have no plans to in the immediate future but maybe some day.
Atlanta, I-85 South where it merges with I-75 South.
yea its a beautiful day for me to
isnt it casciano mem br
I don't know x 2
West New York, NJ
LOL! Indeed!
Sometimes I use my wife's MDX on trips.
I'll see your Breezewood and raise you Jersey City. Talk about an Interstate gap.
