Both Ash and Gladion shown amazing skills despite it being just 3vs3 battle where switching wasn't allowed, both were outsmarting each others.
Pikachu is an elite among Elites. He alone evened up the fight. KOing a legendary and an elite trickster.
I hate to admit it (I hate Pikachu) but ash’s Pikachu specifically is the undisputed GOAT
Fun fact: Ash’s Pikachu was the only pokemon to ever defeat Silvally
To be fair to melmetal, he put alot of work in against silvally with a couple of double iron bashes and flash cannons.
Silvally isn't a strong legendary

Beating a Mythical with a Legendary ain't much of a feat really. Even less when the Mythical in question just evolved the previous night,with it’s trainer having little clue what it actually is. In contrast with the Legendary it's trainer knew for a long time and was training with it.

It's still impressive because Gladion defeated more powerful pokemon than Brandon's Regice, which he caught just one day before his battle with Ash, and that evolution is no different than perfect Zygarde, as those Meltans was always part of one Melmetal body.

Probably,but Branden unlike Ash knew Regis like he knew his breath. And Ash battled with the Pikachu which still had a long way to become the champion level Pokemon we know it would be.
Gladion did it with a Legendary he knew and trained with for quite a while,which can change it's type to it's advantage.
@@mdrasedulhoque992 not saying Gladion defeated champion pokemon, but him beating a mythical pokemon was still very impressive, on top of that he also beat 2nd strongest Pikachu+z move which is more impressive than any legendary Ash defeated before Tapu Koko.

Ash's Pikachu might be the most powerful non-legendary pokemon ever. Defeated a legendary and then took down a Elite trickster Pokemon capable of defeating a legendary with it.

Man the last scene hits me hard in terms of all of the past leagues that Ash Ketchum lost and proved himself to become champion of Alola region (and first champion of it as well) For me, it is a trully peak 2 episodes for me to enjoy and also the exhibition match which I will look forward for the next amv from you.

I might be hated for this, but this was my least favorite League. Practically everyone who participated didn't have a full team on them, Ash was only able to because Naganadel cameback to him. What was everyone expecting to happen in their battle against Mask Royale if they didn't have enough Pokémon on their team. It was like Cameron from Unova all over again.
The difference is that Cameron is an idiot and that Kukui is the one who kickstarted the whole League and as such, he could've easily just made his fight with Ash 5v5. Not even remotely Ash's fault. Meanwhile Cameron went through the entirety of his journey without ever knowing what a full battle, something that even OG series Ash knew. And OG series Ash was kinda dumb.
Also, it makes sense that not too many people have a full team. Most people in the tournament aren't even island challengers. And those that are, like Gladion, aren't even working with a full team. This is likely something Kukui accounted for.
I can sort of understand where your argument is coming from though; what would've happened had Lillie moved on to the second round when her only real main mon is one Alolan Vulpix. But that didn't happen, so....
@@ResurgentRaven It was just hard to understand what they were thinking when they did this half the time. Not many catches so not many options to prepare themselves
But Ash deserved a win after all the embarrassing and disappointing defeats he had to suffer! And what’s better is that he became Champion after defeating Leon with an actual 6 vs 6 battle! I get that he should have won Kalos and even Alain admits that, but at least Ash’s journey did not end with him not winning a single tournament. We can love the series or hate it but there’s no denying that fans were happy with Ash finally winning after so many years!

I’m happy Ash became a champion but this league felt off, no six on six, no switching, no requirements such as gym badges to participate, most characters spamming one or two moves, most characters not even having three Pokemon…idk didn’t feel as clean cut as Kalos did
