I just wanna say something about Brian. To me, he is in a sense, like Marques Brownlee. Meaning: I don't particularly play a lot of fighting games these days, just like I'm not particularly crazy on tech, but I just subscribe to the channel and keep watching all the videos again and again, because it's just damn good content. I like both of their personas, I think they're extremely intelligent individuals, who have impeccable work ethics, so they know what good content is, they know what standards they want for their work, and they have the dicipline and brains to deliver it. Just, great stuff, always.
Brian is very important to the SF scene and I'm glad he does what he does, 1000% the person that got me acquainted with following competitive SF more meaningfully
I would agree if not for kakeru's drop against that kimberly. In the corner, after a knockdown, he did a setup that was supposed to beat lvl 1 and level 2 but missed a little bit. Lost while having the good reading and labing
thank you so much for these kinds of videos brian, your commentary is always on point. I fell like im starting to improve fundamentals just by watching you going over these matches!
Tekken’s fun regardless of if he got beat or not and he played a decent amount of tekken 7 already. I don’t think paladin being 16 matters too much, I would rather lose to a younger player than an older player anyday.
Its called fuzzy guard, its the same reason instant overheads work. On the first frame when the character wakes up or leaves a block stun, he is treated by the game as if he was crouching and standing at the same time.
That wasn't Punk really missing the anti-air against Paladin that round... it was Punk falling victim to a input priority that normally would have been DP but in SF6, became a spiral arrow. In SFV or SF4, it would have been a DP. There were a few times that the game also ate Paladin's crosscuts but even at a high level this stuff just happens.
@@Brian_F LOL… A while life speaking “American”… 6 year living in the UK and I can’t understand Americans’ “t” anymore 😂. Thanks, Brian! Keep up with the amazing content!
Seems like 16 is the magical age for street fighter players, punk went from being the 16 year old that fought pros to the pro that's fighting the new 16 year old paladin, great seeing young players showing off what they got
Hot take: cammy is not as good as everyone claims she is. Sure she has good movement and the dive kick can be threatening but the fact that it is actually highly punishable in a lot of instances plus the fact that she doesn't have high health and doesn't put out a lot of damage makes her more mid to me. Simple things like her ex dp leaving her full screen amongst other things also take away from the character to me and all the things she excels at other characters do a lot better (juri, ken, deejay, luke, blanka).
As much as JP is probably the most complex character in this game with numerous ways to pick up and mix up combos watching JP gameplay could put a glass eye to sleep

I just noticed Capcom made Luke the lead for the next generation and the next generation responds with two of the best Ryu's in the world...
reject modernity
Embrace tradition 😂
Paladin and Endingwalker warm my old man Ryu playing heart. It’s proof that Ryu, like Wu Tang, is for the children.
I've been looking forward more to the Brain F recap of the tournament than the actual tournament

I've never seen a more unfortunate drop than that iDom drop to not make CPT.
Tbf, he would've had to fight Du, and Idom's Manon has a losing record to Du's Guile. But yeah, that drop hurt.

How is nuckledu still so goated after all this time, man.
