We’ve hit three incredible milestones today! This is our 100th video on the channel, we’ve reached 8,000 subscribers, and it also marks the end of Attack on Titan. We want to thank each and every one of you, especially those who have been with us since the early days. Your support has meant the world to us
its kind of funny you guys are the only group of reactors that actually understood the philosophical background of a lot of the ending scenes, a lot of people just took it initially at face value and refused to think deeper about any of it (or at least their deeper thoughts on the subject matter) until much later after the hype died
@@sampah89 I watched so many mate but sure, LM reactions, Haylo and Kiss, Studio Gek, autosave .. don't know if it's okay to write about other reactors here, feel free to delete this comment..
They are far from the only group of reactors that understand. You might want to check out other reactors. But if I mention their channel names, my comments might get deleted. (I’m not sure why it happened to me before.)
Fun fact! At the end, Armin talks about telling their story to everyone, and he indeed is the narrator of AOT (you can check at the start of the show). Also the reason why there's no narrator in S3 episode 18, Armin was half dead so he didn't know what went on. People also say that the colour of Eren's eyes change throughout the series, it's because Armin can't remember exactly what colour they were. I love Attack On Titan
I literally cannot believe that AOT reactions are finally over! For the past few months it's been my routine to watch your guys reaction every evening while eating snacks. I literally LOVE watching you guys react to the shows that I love! ❤ Also congrats for 8K!!!
35:50 Eren closed his eyes during the entire rumbling and opened them one last time to see Mikasa. It was painful.💔💔 The kiss of death. The kiss of love. The kiss of freedom. I found the kiss quite beautifully dark actually❤😭😭
The fact that the number 140 symbolizes freedom in japanese and this show has 139 (this number means “new beginning”) episodes, meaning that Eren was never truly free, he was just a slave to himself. “I’m a slave to freedom” brillant, just brillant.
@21st.centurygirl29 There's no such fact. I've searched in English and Japanese and the only pages repeating this are dubious AoT pages with no credible source, like chain mail. Even IF there was meaning for 140, that would be from Western culture/horoscope, and not Japanese. No Japanese pages, not even listed in the JP wiki page for 140. I personally think Isayama-sensei rushed to end it on Ch139 because of 13 (years) + 9 (titan shifter) easter egg only.
You forget one thing. When Armin talked about the book on the outside world, the outside world doesn't have civilisation. It's an empty world... And this is exactly what Eren means as freedom, an empty world without humains. What he said to Ramzi is this : " When i learned humanity was alive outside the walls, i was so disappointed." Eren see freedom as a world without humans. Because if there are humans outside, it's the same thing as inside the walls. Eren wanted a different world than the one inside the walls. But it was the same and this is why he was disppointed. He wanted to wipe everything aways because the outside world was not an empty beautiful natural world, it was a world with civilisation and human society... Basically, Eren hate humanity because humanity is by definition a slave to something. And Eren wanted to erase humanity so that he can escape from the walls of civilisation and society. He wanted to let go of his human nature. Like Icarus who wanted to touch the sun, something impossible... The answer to that plot is that freedom doesn't exist, trully. And Eren, in his ego, wanted to create this impossible thing. And you confuse free will and freedom. Having the choice is free will, but it's not freedom. Freedom is when you can do absolutely what you want. Free will is when you can chose between several options. By definition, free will is one type of freedom, but it's not true freedom. When you are trully free, that means the number of choices you have are infinite. But it's never the case in real life. And the thing is, even if you do what you want, you obey to your desires. That's why whatever you do, no one can be trully free. Humans are by nature slave to their desires, their morals, their memories... And the only way to let go of this part of humanity is through death. Death is the non-existence of desires, morals and memories. Death means you are nothing. And this is tragic and so nihilistic to think. But true freedom is when you abandon life itself, and everything attached to it. That's why Zeke said you can only be free when you are dying, because you let go of everything that makes you a slave. Basically, Eren wanted to achieve an impossible dream, always looking at the sky, when Armin was accepting his human nature and looked at simple things of life. Seeing little things of life means you accept that you are not free and you live through this. But Eren was never able to see these little things. He was always looking at the sky, hoping to catch something that no one can catch, something greater than human nature. That's why Eren didn't achieve his goal for freedom. It's just impossible to achieve, even for someone with such power. Coming back to Kenny, this story is showing that even with the greatest power, you are still a slave to something.
Great comment, Eren was chasing something impossible, the moment you are born, you reject the will of true freedom, and as Carla said “ He's already special, because he was born into this world” And he didn't feel special, he pursued a dream in which he thought he would be special and the truth is that he was already special just by being born, but he couldn't be satisfied with that, and he created a story where he manages to feel special and satisfied to a certain degree. It could be that he is simply a depressive sociopath chasing "freedom".
I think each of the EMA trio contributed equally to Ymir's liberation. Eren showed her the possibility of freedom of choice, Armin showed her the value of the little things in life, Mikasa showed her the possibility of letting go of a loved one...
Always envious of these reactors being able to experience this show to the fullest like this. I wish I could forget the show every time I watch it and relive it over and over. Truly the greatest work of cinema in history
thanks for the whole journey guys! edit: I just finished watching the video fully, and I have never seen such in depth and meaningful discussion at the end by any reactors before
Several decades later "Grandma, will you tell us a story before sleep?" Me: "Alright, sweethearts, but it's gonna be a long one..." *Proceeds to yap for 139 years about a certain masterpiece during the time when humanity had to be caged in the walls.*
Something that everyone misses is that it's actually that centipede creature and it's pursuit of survival and multiplication which gets sidelined. This primordial creature and it's primordial desires are at the center of the story
22:00 this is the same mother and child that Eren saw when he visited Marley (she was still pregnant back then). He looked at her and remembered his mother and wondered what she’d think of him.
Mikasa crying under the tree, and seeing "the end", Armin crying after seeing Mikasa carrying him broke me in a way words cant express it, im thankful to be alive and see this beautiful anime ending but im so heart broken and my brain can't fully accept that's really the ending , and in Happy I was there in your journey thank you guys it was a beautiful journey
I think you got it wrong …. Armin was FREE the moment he decided to give up on HIS DREAM OF SEEING THE OCEAN… Armin is the most freest character in the whole show ….. He wasn’t a slave anymore because for greater good he sacrificed himself For Erwin he needed Levi to make the choice as he couldn’t do it himself
watched this final ep for many times, but it still never failed to make me emotional and just be in awe of how well-written the show is and its characters. im just so amazed how everything, comes full circle. how every characters and their ideologies are each shown in everyone (like being a slave on something to keep pushing, like kenny said). im bold enough to say that aot is the best anime, and im not exaggerating. i think everyone, who really understood the show from its plot, characters, principles, humanity and its flaws, will agree. im not very well with words so im sure other people have already said it better than me about how good the show is. im just happy that time to time again, aot is getting the recognition it deserves. thank you guys for watching this masterpiece! you guys gave us again another experience to watch this show and experience the roller coaster of emotions. you guys didnt even had the time to be fully immersed about conny and jean being turned into titans and them accepting their deaths LOL. meanwhile me i had to pause that part back then and bawl like my parents got divorced brooo. the way i cried to them two is between me and God
1. Founder Eren was also the one who controlled Dina in season 2 ending - which led to Hannes dying, but it was to enable Eren to touch Dina to figure out the founder's power. 2. Reasons why Eren had to make Dina kill his mom - a) to make Grisha change his mind about 'please stop Eren' , news of Carla's death makes him avengeful, so he passes the Titans on (b) to save Armin in the future (c) to set him on his path... 3. Reason why Eren chose the number - 80% - he explained it cryptically tbh... It's to maintain peace in Paradis for coming 50-60 years at the least in order for his friends to have a peaceful life. Making the civilisation outside & inside same, ensures no civil war in Paradis because of looming build of revenge from outside. 4. Understanding Eren is the most complex task after finishing AoT. It will take lots of introspection, and reinterpretation to get to the core of his character without external help. He didn't achieve 'freedom' - he fulfilled his childhood vision of freedom. He was constrained by the Titan curse - of 13 years, meaning he couldn't live complete - he couldn't live freely (live n explore unconstrained without persecution n injustice). He was restricted by his powers, responsibility and mainly - the world, a cruel world - that doesn't let you be free, In the end, he sacrificed his life for his birthplace, friends, to end the Titan curse, he did so by regressing to his innate desire to see the world in the childish way he envisioned. He's a slave to his own nature and external constraints . He can never be free - because even in story terms - he is literally a character in a story - a story where the writer has fixed the ending and road towards it. The character knows the ending, only thing the character can do is move forward the way the writer draws him. So he can't be truly 'free' bcoz he's shackled by the genesis of his nature - something the writer fixed. [ that's the beauty of Eren's character - a character obsessed with freedom who's also trapped in a bootstrap paradox] Love the way Isayama explains it - Isayama = Eren. Isayama doesn't have the freedom to change the ending of his story after starting it - because he wrote it with the ending in mind. The ending is fixed. No matter the fans, or publisher telling him to change the ending - He cannot, he doesn't have that freedom bcoz --Isayama doesn't want to change the ending, something he decided when he started the story - he can't go against his own nature.
That moments when Mikasa was holding Eren it was so beautiful so precious but so painful( I'm literally crying right now), he was like a harmless baby his head near her heart finally in peace
Now that AoT is finished, time has come for me to depart... It was amazing to be with you all and watch your reactions... JUST KIDDING I WOULD NEVER. I will stick with you guys till the end 😭❤️ For years, I will wait till you hit 50k and do the Mikasa cosplay (Ronnie) I'll every show that you start on this anime and not miss a single video ❤️ Looking forward to all your reactions everyday. Still feeling sad that AoT ended so fast for you guys. By the way they should watch their own reaction of the first episode and laugh at their weird theories lmao ❤️
In the end its revealed that Armin is the narrator of the whole show. Like that person who was always introducing episodes etc. was Armin telling Erens story just as he said he would in the last episode... So all the events already happened, Armin was just retelling them.
1:22:00 The tree could have the worm in it. But even if that’s the case, the result might not be titans. As Zeke said, Ymir wanted a strong body and she created the path to escape. She also kept people’s souls in the paths because she was seeking connection etc… the curse of dying in 13 years is because of when she died as well. You transform when you get injured and she was injured when she entered the tree and transformed etc Ymir was chased by dogs and injured. This person was with a dog as well but they were friendly.
43:06 To the boy who sought freedom, Goodbye. RIP Eren.😭 In the end, you did exterminate every last titan from this world. You will always be my favorite person. you are the real hero.❤❤ Still seeing eren die made me so sad... I was just replaying so many memories and moments I had with the MC Eren. This show is a 100000/10 for me.🔥🔥
He did jack sh*t. His plan was never to exterminate Titans from the world. He's just lucky that his decision-making was so idiotic it led even the people who loved him the most to murk his dumb-ass, which made Ymir go "Oh, I can do that too - I don't have to be Fritz's slave to the ends of time!"
I’ve been a silent watcher since the beginning and I just wanted to commenting saying I loved watching this Journey with you guys so much! wishing you guys the best
I honestly think Eren’s choices were more complicated than just assuming “oh he had the power, so he could choose” remember when he said he had “tested” it and then the outcome was always the same. So what I ask myself is what version of Eren could actually make choices? Cause it seemed like the end result of his life was fixed and then he was just living his life towards that end. He obviously didn’t want Hange and Sasha to die and he must have tried different ways to get a better result but everything kept happening like he had seen in his memories.
This was the most fun Attack on Titan reaction series I’ve seen in a while. I’m so glad you guys started this channel and I loved seeing how you all slowly started to become more and more invested in the story💖
What I love the most about the show is it's critique to real life conflict, and the parallels to how enemies work. People get radicalized to a point where they dont see people, and they just see enemies. some times for reasons more justifiable than others. but that hate and de-humanization can reach a point where they would Kill their "enemies" and wish for their extinction. Some people who have gone to war realize that themselves and the people who they fight against, are not so different. They are just other people, fighting for what's important to them, and protecting their own. some of these people could have been friends with them, or even had been friends at some point. The show starts with the enemies being "human-shaped monsters" that you don't see as humans even though there is a clear hint that they are. - Clear comparison to de-humanizing the people you hate. They look and act like humans but all you see is someone who you don't understand, someone who is a threat to you, and that you want gone. Then comes the point where some of these monsters aren't that bad. Some might try to help you, some others you still see as enemies but they are human enemies with a monster in them, not just monsters. After that it's not about monsters vs humans, but humans vs humans. "you and I are the same" applies for the visuals as well. The enemy is no longer de-humanized. But it's still the enemy. And finally, the fighting your friends to save the enemy. This goes full circle. Showing you, the main character now transformed into the enemy, the worst, most radical enemy possible. Yet still human, still emotional and still someone you care deeply about.
"He's like a cockroach" 😂 20:13 I love this when Levi is self-reflecting. During return to Shinganshina, Rowan pointed out that Levi chose Armin - and when he said that my first thoughts were to this exact moment in this last episode of the series when Levi is self-reflecting. because this moment was a revelation to me. this whole time I thought Levi chose Erwin because he was solely thinking about Erwin and wanted him to rest. But here Levi reveals that no- he chose Armin because of the look in his eyes that symbolized and reminded Levi of what the scouts truly stood for - curiosity, freedom, wonder - and he chose Armin because he reminded him of all of the scouts that died before him. Rowan was right! Thank you, Ralaz, for letting us along the ride on your Attack on Titan journey. I might have watched some of your reactions when I went to Japan for the first time on vacation. Attack on Titan is not only my favorite show, it's my favorite story of all time, besting even The Stormlight Archive which has been with me since 2012. I will always remember sitting next to a girl in the Shinjuku Toho theatre watching the Last Attack, and crying with her as we watch Hange-san die. the feels...the feels.... I hope eventually you will watch One Piece (studio gek is watching it right now). it's in my top 4 shows (floating around somewhere) and the roller coaster of emotions with this show--wow. but One Piece will give your channel a lot of content lol. I'm rewatching the Dressrosa arc right now and ready to cry my heart again as I start to enter this tragic backstory (btw, there's a character in One Piece whose voice you would recognize instantly, he's a voice actor for a prominent character of Attack on Titan and the reason why I delved into this 1000+ anime). can't wait for your content post-AoT (don't forget to react to the OST/openings/endings).
This was beautiful reaction guys. You guys are the perfect quad squad to go on this journey with. From the group dynamic, to the different perspectives, to the episode drop pacing, to the editing, to the brother/ cousin squabbles, you guys did an awesome job at reacting to this master piece.
46:18 Also that entire interaction with Ymir and mikasa was really well done, you can see ymir finally becoming free after 2000 years depicted by ymir saving her children rather than the mad king ;)
@@user-jchbujn4577ghjicdinsI would say, the way I understood that, since Ackermans can't be manipulated by the king, his will, etc, they can't be turned into Titans. This is the part of the reason why it was related to Mikasa. The other part is that Ymir saw herself in Mikasa, in her and Eren's relationship. So, Ymir from the beginning was yk... going through Mikasa's head, looking for something that could help her, etc. it's almost like Ymir was looking for someone to save her, and in Mikasa's head she was seeing some things that she could relate etc. This is why Mikasa was the one who technically saved Ymir and wiped out Titans power, because she was the reason why Ymir stopped all this. Well, my explanation is probably really bad, but anyway...
I'm glad that you guys are choosing shows which can genuinely give you new perspectives in life and valuable life lessons like AOT and the upcoming Vinland Saga.
Alright, haven't hit play yet but I just wanna say, I stayed for your discussions, your fights 😂, the funny intros and shenanigans and everything! Glad I found your channel! (around season 2 I think) I love your dynamic! More power to your channel, and I can't wait for your other anime reactions! 🥰
aww, this was such a JOURNEY...can't explain how thankful i am to all of you guys to put this out for us...y'all have come a long way..i still remember the first day, the first reaction and your veiws on anime.....and now yall are here..hope to see more of such incredible reactions....and ronnie please try to do double episodes for jjk...i am literally dying out here😭😭😭😭
knowing that you guys finished this series, leaving with new perspectives and thoughts... its all i wanted for you guys!!! I'm sooooo glad you loved it!
Ronnie your explanations are 100% on point so don’t worry about it. There are stuff up to interpretation but your interpretations are very well reasoned and i personally agree with them after looking up explanations and multiple discussions over the years.
For me that's Jean and Mikasa,I personally think if she didn't marry anyone Eren sacrifice was really for nothing, that means she never freed her self, he asked her to live on and move on , and I feel like that many people don't understand that you can love someone till the end of time and still move on, moving on doesn't mean you have to hate and forget your old love , some people act like she can only love one person and one Only, jean is the best choice ( I hope it's really him) he loved her since the beginning he's the only one who understand her and understand her love for Eren ,he knows how her and Eren were close and important to each other and respect that , Mikasa deserve some love and happiness and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that
Didn't Mikasa die with erens scarf wrapped around him?? Enough proof that she never got over eren. I love jean so I'm gonna say this that jean deserves better, someone who would truly love him. I don't think Mikasa can truly love jean since she never threw away erens scarf. But if she did marry jean, I'm happy for her
Isayama did us dirty . Mikasa was buried next to eren. It preety much confirms she never got married. You get buried next to your husband, not beside your teenage love. That is what i think idk.
In the end when secretary Muller was so hesitant and ask them to prove they were not titans was because right after he had the moment of agreement when he was helping Annie's dad stand up..all the eldians transformed..you can see the shock and fear in Muller's eye after Annie's dad transformed
Guys thanks for the attack on titan reactions you made me so happy for the past months i have been watching you guys since day one and i will continue the other animes shows and movies you guys will be reacting to
Im gonna be honest; I only stayed for your AOT content, but honestly you guys are sucha good group its grown you've all grown on me so much! I cannot wait to see your future reactions to other things! Best of luck Im so glad that you stayed till the end!!!!
Congrats on 8k subscribers! your great videos will attract more. Thank you guys so much you've been my favorite reactors and I've seen a lott, can't wait to watch what else you guys get up to keep up the vibes
Mikasa smiling killing Eren is poetic when you realize that eren's eyes were closed during the entire rumbling until Mikasa killed him. Seeing her face the last moment before he died.
A fun exercise I've been doing is looking at aberrants as well. We learned that only titans that were being commanded are aberrants. So those without clear controllers were likely Eren, but for what? For example: The aberrant that ate Thomas. Eren commanded it to eat Thomas so that young Eren would lose control, get eaten, and become a Titan, saving his friends. The aberrant laying down by the tree when Reiner+Bert kidnapped Eren in S2: Possibly future Eren making sure that younger Eren didn't try to escape bc that would've led to the death of someone he cared about.
In the end of Season 3, where he said IF we kill all the enemies beyond the sea will we be free? That is when he realized the titans were not the enemy but the people beyond the sea. and when he did kill them all HE GOT HIS FREEDOM ETERNAL REST, as well as his desire to give his friends a long , free life, because titan powers were erased. But this short freedom is only for his friends after all of them passed away WAR started again.
hey guys one thing I would love to point out is that our personallity is form around our memories NOT what really happend but around the way we reamember it, so every time eren and the others shifters unlocked any memories their personalities changed. Also eren just knew to bite his hands the first time as a reflex because the founder that Grisha ate transformed like this
I've read this somewhere and I can't really remember who said this but someone said among the lines of "Eren was never the hero that saved the world, but he was just a boy who wanted to save his" which I think just really stuck to me, idk how you guys are going to interpret that but I just cant seem to forget that they were just kids going through all that like, bro just imagine being at that age and having to carry the burden and responsibilities.. Anyways thank you so much for this journey, you guys were honestly one of the few who really tried their best to think about the ending in a more deeper way and I appreciate that (I'm sorry if my english is bad, it isnt my 1st language)
1:04:44 this is where I think many ppl have an issue. The outcome doesn't match with what "you wanted to see". However it does match perfectly with what his goal was, protect his friends...it all looked chaotic and throughout this episode I was like what the f is eren doing...but considering that it ended with his friends being viewed positively, titan powers being eradicated, and the island safe from reprisal the outside world...burh the outcome couldn't have been any less perfect by those metrics..
A masterpiece! I can’t believe there will be no new AOT reactions from you all😭. I want to add something. Eren also wanted to take titans out of the world. ALL the titans (shifters too). He didn’t only want his friends to be free from war, but also the burden of the titans. Remember that titan shifters essentially had an expiry date too. He truly wanted them to live long lives, and they did. Great reaction as usual, can’t wait for your JJK reactions!
Although I haven’t commented a lot, I was there since the first season reaction and It was truly beautiful to see you guys grow attached to AOT with every episode and become more sincere with each discussion. This last reaction was the most beautiful and sincere reaction among all other youtube channels (imo). I felt you guys pouring your hearts out as you talked about the ending and how it affected you. Thank you for reacting to AOT and for allowing us to witness your beautiful journey. PS: I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the last intro and outro
Eren and Zeke's path were set in stone. Both were pawns in the grande scheme of events towards freedom of one person: Founder Ymir. 1. For Ymir to be free from 2000yrs of slavery within the paths, titan power must be erased, permanently. 2. Zeke's Euthenisation plan advocates for permanent elimination of titan power along with subjects of Ymir. 3. Eren with power of founder could take titan power away. But for the vulnerability of his people, Paradise's enermies must be eliminated and that turn out to be the whole world: rumbling.
Well, the journey has now officially come to an end… I remember when I stumbled upon your very first video of this series just a few hours after you uploaded it and I was immediately hooked! You guys are so perceptive and it was so much fun to watch you figure things out, actually understanding the clues, and really discussing everything that was happening. Plus seeing Ronnie side-eyeing the camera at every piece of foreshadowing was so entertaining! On that note, I‘ve seen a lot of people say it on here but you really need to rewatch the show at some point! (Ronnie already did now :)) There is an absurd amount of foreshadowing and details, that are pretty much impossible to catch the first time. For example, AoT has a thing with two specific numbers: 9 and 13 (I’m sure at this point you know why). These two numbers appear at various places throughout the story. For example the 13 fingers pointing to/accusing Ymir, or when Ymir was hunted by the dogs and fell to the ground, she looks at a flower with exactly 9 petals. And those are not the only ones: 9 scouts survive Shiganshina, Eren and Mikasa appear on the 13th page of the Manga, the show runs for 13 years, spanning 9 arcs and ends at Chapter 139 (Just one short of 140 which is the Japanese number for freedom, something Eren never achieved)… There‘s a lot more including tons of theories, some more far-fetched than others, but overall you should definitely check some out! One detail that I‘ve always found very interesting and worth mentioning is the geopolitical concept in AoT. It‘s no secret that AoT heavily references the Holocaust and Nazi-Germany and on a larger scale the extreme anti-semitic views of the entire world at the time, but if you look at the map of the world in AoT you‘ll notice that it‘s an inverted map of our own world, with Paradis being Madagascar. Now, shortly after the start of WW2 Nazi-Germany contrived an idea called the “Madagascar Plan” or “Jew relocation program” and it meant exactly what it says. The plan was to deport as many Jews as possible from central Europe to Madagascar after gaining the island from the French. The island was meant to be governed as a police state by the SS with presumably harsh living conditions, before the plan was postponed and later shelved to be replaced by what they called the “Final Solution”, meaning the Holocaust. I don’t know if Isayama ever confirmed there to be any intention behind it, but if there wasn’t then that‘s a hell of a coincidence… Another thing that I believe to be very intentional is the scene with the baby in the red blanket during the Rumbling. You talked about the cinematography of it and I believe that it references the movie “Schindler’s List” which (slight spoiler warning for those who don’t know) is the true story of Oskar Schindler who, during WW2, tried to save as many Jews as possible from the Nazis. The entire movie is in black and white except for one scene: In the midst of a town getting raided by Nazis is a little girl in a bright red coat. Schindler watches her from afar but does not end up helping her. Later he sees the little girl’s body on a wheelbarrow with corpses piled on top. This moment haunts Schindler for the rest of his life and in the movie it is made all the more impactful by the bright red color against the otherwise monochrome movie. I think it had to have been intentional in AoT, because like the girl the baby is a symbol of innocence and hope in a horrific and cruel setting and in one of these scenes everyone around the child decides to save it despite it’s presumed futility. It shows the good in people while the situation around them was brought about by the worst in people. On a lighter note, a detail I like a lot is that the final song is sung by Mikasa and Eren‘s voice actors and Mikasa stops singing the moment her grave is shown. Additionally, the final lyric of the song is «History repeats anew» right when the boy walks towards the tree. Also, if you’re still heartbroken about the ending, there is a music video of one of the credit songs where Mikasa and Eren get their happy end in the afterlife. Now I’ve definitely said more than I meant to, so I’ll just say that I really enjoyed these videos and your enthusiastic discussions, and I’m excited to see which projects you will take on next :)
I'm fairly certain the tree at the end was not just symbolic. I think it's heavily implied that whatever gave Ymir titan powers to begin with is going to come back into the world again centuries after the story ends.
What an amazing journey🥹❤️Not just the show, IT WAS YOU GUYS who made it this special!!! Like, from the beginning you'all tried to look into every character, moments, their motivations...its as you said, more understanding than just judging....and you have no idea how much iam glad to see three of you guys enjoyed this finale
FINALLY! I have followed your channel from the very first AOT video you posted when it was just 3 anime haters and 1 anime fan, subscribed after watching the 3rd episode with you, and followed up each upload the moment it was posted. So far, all I can say is that, you guys are my favourite reaction channel, especially for AOT. Very few channels have viewers that are introspective on this show. Many anime viewers are surface watchers, but you guys pick apart every scene, every dialogue, in ways I didn't even during my first watch. For that, you predicted certain future scenes from previous episodes from how given to detail you are. I'm glad to have had your channel recommended to me by YT that very first AOT episode. I look forward to viewing other animes from you and watch you pick them apart and make them even more insightful than they actually are. I feel your channel should have been up to 100k subs by now. You deserve it. Plus, a lot of people really should listen to your beautiful, introspective, intelligent discussions over this masterpiece. Thank you for making me enjoy this anime much more than I already do.
I cried and laughed together watching your reactions. I could feel your emotions when you bowed with your hands together. I wonder if there will be your reactions to the Op and Ed? I'm looking forward to it😊.
We’ve hit three incredible milestones today! This is our 100th video on the channel, we’ve reached 8,000 subscribers, and it also marks the end of Attack on Titan. We want to thank each and every one of you, especially those who have been with us since the early days. Your support has meant the world to us
😭❤️
@@theralaz congrats on the 8k ..Wishing for more to come 👏
I will remember you guys forever 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ever heard of the anime Euphoria?
I just recently watched it and it was the most psychological yet romantic anime ever!
I'm not joking.
Congrats! 🎉
its kind of funny you guys are the only group of reactors that actually understood the philosophical background of a lot of the ending scenes, a lot of people just took it initially at face value and refused to think deeper about any of it (or at least their deeper thoughts on the subject matter) until much later after the hype died
@@fish_activity so true, apart from these guys I think have seen only 3-4 other reactors who understood the show
@@Hkayam Let us list few of them: Nancy Merphier, storieswithstyle, and likely Scribbles Reactions too (they just started S4)
Armin did say in the paths that he felt he was born to chase Eren and Mikasa up the hill. He's watching their story and Ascension
the eye color part is a massive stretch, but otherwise i agree
@@pebble312 it's a big stretch but still makes a lot of sense, even if it is just head canon for fixing an inconsistency
I literally cannot believe that AOT reactions are finally over! For the past few months it's been my routine to watch your guys reaction every evening while eating snacks. I literally LOVE watching you guys react to the shows that I love! ❤ Also congrats for 8K!!!

@@FaizalAmirBashiira I completely agree!
35:50 Eren closed his eyes during the entire rumbling and opened them one last time to see Mikasa. It was painful.💔💔
The kiss of death. The kiss of love. The kiss of freedom. I found the kiss quite beautifully dark actually❤😭😭
That always gets me 😭
It's love. As cliché as it is, it's Ymirs love that brought them destruction, it's Mikasa's that save them.
The fact that the number 140 symbolizes freedom in japanese and this show has 139 (this number means “new beginning”) episodes, meaning that Eren was never truly free, he was just a slave to himself.
“I’m a slave to freedom” brillant, just brillant.
Holy sht
Just to clarify, it's the manga that has 139 chapters. The anime has 91 episodes.

Coming back to Kenny, this story is showing that even with the greatest power, you are still a slave to something.
that's a very good perspective 👍
Armin's book also featured a barrel of oil, the very thing that the Marleyans wanted from Paradis.

Fun fact: When she started crying, it meant that she has forgotten Eren's face.
I don't think they realized it was mikasa singing at the end either. The lyrics are her professing her love for him.
What a journey it's been, you guys are one of my favourite reactors.. from anime haters to lovers..
I think you got it wrong ….
Armin was FREE the moment he decided to give up on HIS DREAM OF SEEING THE OCEAN…
Armin is the most freest character in the whole show …..
He wasn’t a slave anymore because for greater good he sacrificed himself
For Erwin he needed Levi to make the choice as he couldn’t do it himself
you guys should react to every opening and ending songs . It will be fun .
They said they’re going to react to them after finishing the series so hopefully they’ll post a vid soon
watched this final ep for many times, but it still never failed to make me emotional and just be in awe of how well-written the show is and its characters. im just so amazed how everything, comes full circle. how every characters and their ideologies are each shown in everyone (like being a slave on something to keep pushing, like kenny said). im bold enough to say that aot is the best anime, and im not exaggerating. i think everyone, who really understood the show from its plot, characters, principles, humanity and its flaws, will agree. im not very well with words so im sure other people have already said it better than me about how good the show is. im just happy that time to time again, aot is getting the recognition it deserves. thank you guys for watching this masterpiece! you guys gave us again another experience to watch this show and experience the roller coaster of emotions. you guys didnt even had the time to be fully immersed about conny and jean being turned into titans and them accepting their deaths LOL. meanwhile me i had to pause that part back then and bawl like my parents got divorced brooo. the way i cried to them two is between me and God

Thank youuuu. It was such a great journey with you guys ❤
[ that's the beauty of Eren's character - a character obsessed with freedom who's also trapped in a bootstrap paradox]
Love the way Isayama explains it - Isayama = Eren.

In the end its revealed that Armin is the narrator of the whole show. Like that person who was always introducing episodes etc. was Armin telling Erens story just as he said he would in the last episode...
So all the events already happened, Armin was just retelling them.
In Japanese, the title is also "Attack Titan" not Attack on Titan, basically it's Eren's story.
You transform when you get injured and she was injured when she entered the tree and transformed etc
Ymir was chased by dogs and injured. This person was with a dog as well but they were friendly.
Hoping for OP/ending with subs and reacting to AOT suite by Mr Hiroyuki Sawano himself
43:06 To the boy who sought freedom, Goodbye. RIP Eren.😭
In the end, you did exterminate every last titan from this world.
You will always be my favorite person. you are the real hero.❤❤
Still seeing eren die made me so sad...

Very happy to hear that, thanks for all your support throughout
'Everyone has a devil inside them, We have to try to get out of the forest.
- Nicolo
"He's like a cockroach" 😂
20:13 I love this when Levi is self-reflecting.

That is why ymir is shown as an ADULT in that scene
She is a grown women now as opposed to she was a child during the whole paths scenes
And all of Mikasa's headaches were somehow related to the final outcome.
@@user-jchbujn4577ghjicdinsthe headaches were Ymir looking into Mikasa's head to try and figure out how she could both love Eren and still kill him.
Eren made it to the tree first, then Mikasa, and finally - Armin. 😢

Ronnie your explanations are 100% on point so don’t worry about it. There are stuff up to interpretation but your interpretations are very well reasoned and i personally agree with them after looking up explanations and multiple discussions over the years.
For me that's Jean and Mikasa,I personally think if she didn't marry anyone Eren sacrifice was really for nothing, that means she never freed her self, he asked her to live on and move on , and I feel like that many people don't understand that you can love someone till the end of time and still move on, moving on doesn't mean you have to hate and forget your old love , some people act like she can only love one person and one Only, jean is the best choice ( I hope it's really him) he loved her since the beginning he's the only one who understand her and understand her love for Eren ,he knows how her and Eren were close and important to each other and respect that , Mikasa deserve some love and happiness and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that
100%
She didn’t really need to marry tho imo, but if she did marry Jean, she could still love Eren regardless. A lot of couples go through this IRL
And jean deserves better . He deserves someone who can love him . Our boys have been through a lot
Amazing reactions , probably one of the few groups that understood practically everything 😀

For example:
The aberrant that ate Thomas.
Literally just finished watching your reaction to part 1, refreshed my home page and saw this😭
In the end of Season 3, where he said IF we kill all the enemies beyond the sea will we be free? That is when he realized the titans were not the enemy but the people beyond the sea. and when he did kill them all HE GOT HIS FREEDOM ETERNAL REST, as well as his desire to give his friends a long , free life, because titan powers were erased. But this short freedom is only for his friends after all of them passed away WAR started again.

hey guys one thing I would love to point out is that our personallity is form around our memories NOT what really happend but around the way we reamember it, so every time eren and the others shifters unlocked any memories their personalities changed.
Also eren just knew to bite his hands the first time as a reflex because the founder that Grisha ate transformed like this
Your discussion is so great! Thank you so much.
You guys generally some of the best reactors to this show
This chanel is really The best reaction of AOT tbh
Been watching since the very first episode reaction released! What a journey it has been
Eren and Zeke's path were set in stone.
And those are not the only ones: 9 scouts survive Shiganshina, Eren and Mikasa appear on the 13th page of the Manga, the show runs for 13 years, spanning 9 arcs and ends at Chapter 139 (Just one short of 140 which is the Japanese number for freedom, something Eren never achieved)…
There‘s a lot more including tons of theories, some more far-fetched than others, but overall you should definitely check some out!
I don’t know if Isayama ever confirmed there to be any intention behind it, but if there wasn’t then that‘s a hell of a coincidence…
Another thing that I believe to be very intentional is the scene with the baby in the red blanket during the Rumbling.
I think it's heavily implied that whatever gave Ymir titan powers to begin with is going to come back into the world again centuries after the story ends.
congrats on 8k🎉🎉🎉
-i can't believe this journeys over 😢
What an amazing journey🥹❤️Not just the show, IT WAS YOU GUYS who made it this special!!! Like, from the beginning you'all tried to look into every character, moments, their motivations...its as you said, more understanding than just judging....and you have no idea how much iam glad to see three of you guys enjoyed this finale
5:00 Ronnie and Rivas sitting EXACTLY like Grisha and the Owl... Hajime Isayama strikes again
Man seeing all the past titans was one of my favorite scenes, I spent so long pausing and going through them all with my brother
I cried and laughed together watching your reactions.
I could feel your emotions when you bowed with your hands together.
I wonder if there will be your reactions to the Op and Ed? I'm looking forward to it😊.
What a journey, love y'all!
Way to go 10k now... btw congrats for 8K🔥🔥
46:15 Armin takes responsibility for killing Eren over Mikasa. My goat!
And this is a parallel to Armin's speech to protect Eren and Mikasa from the general with the gun. With the same movement, Armin removes his ODM.
