    I used to do a pretrip like that. For a long time now I walk around and inspect everything before I go inside and brush my teeth and so forth then look over things again when I go back outside. Then again when I take the dog for a walk and again when I get her back to the truck. I'm inspecting the unit anytime I'm outside before I leave so when I'm ready to go instead of putting myself on duty for a pretrip I change status to on duty then go back in time twenty minutes or so and label it pretrip then leave. That way if you find something wrong that needs a service call you find it ahead of time and get it fixed before you actually start ur clock.

    I think this will help you a great deal. Get yourself some rubbing Alcohol pull your trailer break out take the red line off put some of the rubbing Alcohol in the line it's best if you lay it down on the cat walk then put the red line back on then push the red trailer break in and then push the break pedal when you don't here anymore air. Then your trailer break will be free ..

    • @GrammarPoliceInvestigations
      @GrammarPoliceInvestigations Рік тому

      @@jeffshield6088 Well, since you asked. Simply release the trailer brakes and fully apply the service brakes on/off rapidly. I've been driving 20 years in New England and deal with frozen brakes ALL the time in the winter. This works in most situations except the most extreme ice buildup.

    • @truckingwithrex
      @truckingwithrex  Рік тому

      I tried the above before pulling out my hammer. I usually let the air pressure build up and pump on them breaks a bit and fixes the ice build up but not this time.. solid layer of ice covering the brakes 🤙💯
