Another really good video, you guys are living the dream. Namibia has incredible biodiversity and stunning desert vistas. I hope you guys get some well deserved rest and soak in the pool at that campsite - can’t wait for your next instalment.
Thank you! The dust storms in the afternoon keep us from jumping in that pool 😅 and during the day we’re not there! But we had a lovely day in deadvlei! That will be in the coming episode
Me again, its Just so beautiful....like the concept of the viewer rides with you and experience what you experience to a extend (this can be excellent Imax stuff) . Convinced this channel will still grow very big. Greetings and enjoy a very special country.
Thank you so much, comment like these keep us motivated 😊 we hope some day the channel will grow, but seems like certain countries channels gets pushed more by the algorithm than (South)African. We will just keep posting away for people like you and for ourselves to keep a diary for later 😁👍🏻
The gravel roads in the south of Namibia used to be very smooth and well maintained when I was last there but they seem to deteriorate year after year due to lack of maintenance
They are very busy scraping all the roads! I think they do it once a year after all the overseas tourists have left. We noticed that you can only really get an idea of the road in front of you by asking the person that just drove it (last couple of days)
We just used the wrist strap that you get with the remote. We wrap it around the handlebars a couple of times, slide the remote through in the last bit and close it. We have found it actually stayed on the whole time on both bikes.
It's a pity that the film quality which is no fault of the cinematographers is due in part to rolling shutter from the small sensor action camera system. A dedicated film camera and lens system could capture scenes like the sand storm
Soft sand riding on a heavy adventure bike is not for the feint hearted. Wait for slippery mud / clay roads in Zambia and Tanzania (if you are headed that way) it is a whole new ball game of riding. Safe travels further guys, be safe out there.
Journey of a life continues.Thks again.
Definitely a once in a lifetime, we gonna try to make it last as long as possible👍🏻

02:12 Werner, how have you fitted your GoPro 'The Remote' to Cissy's handlebars? I can find no available device for doing that securely.

Thank you for your comment😊👍🏻Sometimes we really wished that we were on light bikes! The 390 is actually not too bad, but the 890 is a challenge…
@@thetravelingtortoises You doing well! We travel 2 up on a 1200 Super Tenere fully loaded, full package weight 529Kg
Wow guys, the videos just gets better and better. Namibia is now on my definitive lists of must do rides and the sooner the better. 🫡
Thanks Bennie! You should definitely go to Namibia, you will have the trip of your life 😁👍🏻
