- We are so excited to present Act 2 of Dream SMP: The Musical! This act follows the plot line of the Manberg vs. Pogtopia war, including the election, Tommy's first exile, Technoblade joining the server, and more! All of your favorite Dream SMP characters are here including Tommy, Tubbo, Wilbur, Technoblade, Schlatt, Quackity, Eret, Niki, and more! It features nine original songs, an original script and voice acting, and full animatics from many talented artists! Please support our cast and crew (below). It's not a Minecraft Mod video but it will make you both laugh and cry and if you are a fan of the Dream SMP, you won't want to miss this. We hope you enjoy the show!!

2 hours+ of a second act to a musical about a Minecraft smp? This fandom has its issues and flaws, but it sure as hell has some seriously unbelievably dedicated fan artists, animators, musicians and voice actors. Good job to the whole crew for making this happen. I'm super excited for our angst heavy act 3.

I always felt like the viewers are the citizens or witnesses of the Dream smp to these events and honestly I feel like for Pogtopia there would definitely be quite a few citizens running away with Wilbur and Tommy build a home within the cavern and just witnessing Wilbers dissent into madness.

I'm so excited, I have no doubt I will be repeating these songs again and again! I'm gonna make sure I've cleared 5 till 6 to make sure I can watch this! Also I'm glad it's being premiered again as the last one was at 1am for me
Ok, first of all, I would like to say that that was absolutely fantastic. The art was beautiful, and the animation was absolutely stunning, especially the pit fight scene,My House Now and the scene at the end. And on top of that, all the songs were great. Everybody sounded absolutely amazing. Please give my love to both the cast and composers. The music was seriously wonderful. And don't even get me started on the script or the acting. I am left speechless and awed. The new scenes that were added were great and fit in perfectly, and absolutely destroyed me. Furthermore, the entire cast did a fantastic job delivering their lines and getting me attached and invested. They all absolutely killed it, however, I must say, a special shoutout to Fundy, Schlatt, and Techno's VAs. They all did fantastic and were (at least in my opinion) the breakout stars of the production. Absolutely fantastic job to everyone involved. The whole project was phenomenal. Unfortunately I can't give all praise though as I have one very small criticism that I actually had with act one as well. It feels as if there is not enough transition between scenes. It was much better in this act and felt much more natural, however, I feel the audience would great benefit from even a second longer to catch their breath between scenes. Other than that, you guys did absolutely fantastic and absolutely knocked it out of the park!

ngl i love how shlatts character was betrayed in this as it really makes you think, if the side that won really was in the right? like yes his methods of how he did things were questionable but they were all fair and within his own rules, while Tommy and Wilber did try to rig the votes in their favor so they'ed stay in charge, it does make you think not to mention the song choices for him like My House now where it shows that he won fair and square and punishes Wilber and Tommy for a good reason As they did try to rig said votes, and Bad guy dam that violin was on point and the lyrics as well was excellent not to mention like he said he was legally elected President so again he was in the right so again he was the good guy but yeah well done with this, it was Amazing

I made the music in the background foreshadow that! it shifts between major and minor to uphold the hopefulness of the scene, but to also show that Tubbo won't keep up their end of the deal.
WOW. JUST. WOW. the improvement from act 1 is so so evident. it genuinely feels like an actual broadway musical at this point! act 1 was amazing but you all really built up on it and made something BETTER! i am waiting excitedly for act three. awesome job everyone!!!

Well this was amazing and worth the wait!
The things I liked the most:
- All the songs are amazing af (my favorite ones are the song right after Big Q betrayed Shlatt and the Button room one but tbh I am not really sure cause all of them are soo good and its hard to choose)
- The scene in the pit is super brutal
- The way you handled Shlatts lives problem (the fact he lost one before the story starts and the canon one from Q) + the way you handled Shlatt in general, amazing
- All the VAs are great (Niki VA sounds just like her!)
- The fact you actually kept Wilby and some other fun jokes from around that time in the musical
- Every scene with Techno is amazing
Also there are a few small things that could have been better imo, but idk
- First half of the musical (before Tubbo died in color) has too little songs, It's about the length of the first act with Lmanburg revolution war, but has about a half of the emount of songs. (The ones that are in it are absolute bangers, but the more bangers the better right?)
- A few things were not included in the musical (probobly due to time constraints, wich is understandable since the musical is already 2 and a half hours long!) but I feel like they would make sense to be in this:
1. Eret meeting Wilbur right after Exile to try to help him foreshadows him joining Pogtopia latter,
2. Wilbur and Tommy singing Lmanburg anthem when the walls were being destroyed is a sad moment and a way to remind the viewer that the anthem exists and its lyrics for the time when they come into play in the button room scene.
3. First Button room scene with Big Q and Tommy cause that scene is cool
4. Fundy burning the flag to show how far he has gone
But other then that its a perfect adaptation of the story! Amazing job and I cant wait to see the next act!

i have legitimately watched this whole thing 3 times today. 2 and a half hours has never felt so short. this musical is so good. everyone popped off for this. all of the artists are incredible, and the voice actors are so talented and expressive.
lunar is such a good niki, like they genuinely sound like her, and she delivered those lines so so well. i thought it was actually niki speaking every time lunar spoke. not only that, but she characterized niki so well. the scene where she talks with fundy was so emotional and im incredibly proud of them.
just a dog did so well with singing for schlatt (im assuming, based on the credits)! i didnt realize just how much i needed a deeper voice version of my house now, but i loved it so much! and bad guy really made me understand schlatt's character more!
mark was an excellent choice for the voice of schlatt! i never really sympathized that much with c!schlatt (i'm a big c!niki apologist), but this musical helped me appreciate him as a character too, and marks portrayal of him really helped me see that. also im ecstatic to see mark as awesamdude in the future, i can already tell that i'll be obsessed with that!!
skye, as always, was an amazing tubbo, and i really enjoyed one life left, ali and skye's voices were great in that. also the emotion skye puts in her tubbo voice is the best thing. she always sounds so passionate and kind, and i think that describes tubbos character very well, especially in pogtopia era.
i may be a lesbian, but im absolutely in love with hator's george, and i look forward to seeing more of it! hator is extremely talented, and she's how i found the dream smp musical to begin with!
imfish really popped off as fundy. that solo in preparations gave me literal chills. that entire song was excellent, i loved how the characters showed all their motivations so well in it, and the a capella part reminded me of what i've loved about musicals for all these years. very, very good stuff, im very impressed.
maya was a great quackity, she did so well with his lines. she portrayed q and his ambitions very well. (also i loved the new styles of music you used, like the one you used for the election!)
carissa never fails to impress me with her wilbur. chekhov's gun was incredible. hearing the lmanburg anthem in minor key was so eerie and clever, and the lyrics were amazing, and carissa did so well singing it (and her other songs of course, but chekhovs gun was where i was finally brought to tears).
heavy was one of my favorite songs, and jess absolutely killed it. i love erets character so much, and jess is an immaculate eret. i love how well heavy showcases their development as a character and a friend.
plaeg was incredible, as always, and delivered his lines so well! im excited to see more of him in the next act :D!
it was so nice seeing mushroom as sapnap. they delivered its lines very well and he sounded really intimidating in the confrontation with tommy! im excited to see more of it in future acts, especially whenever sapnap lore becomes more prominent in the story! because i already adore their portrayal of sapnap and we dont even see a whole lot of growth to his character yet!
emma did so well as techno! she absolutely slayed theseus, and i loved the dynamic techno had with the rest of sbi! im literally so excited to see her techno in the future!!
grimmi's philza was amazing! fragile peace was excellent. her voice was so soft and fragile, and i love the insight it gives into phils character! i look forward to seeing more of grimmis phil, since we definitely didn't get to see a ton of it this act! also her acting during the scene with wilbur was perfect. very raw and emotional.
and of course, ali. her tommy was amazing. she displayed his ups snd downs in this arc so well, and i've loved watching her show his character development from act one to now. she is such a good actress and should get so much credit. ali's acting is great, and she reminds me of how much i really do love c!tommy, because it's been a while since i've seen one of his lore streams!
also, ensemble, i want to thank you too! rose, danny, aerlebinise, anna, bubblytarts, chris, ellienort, joey, rin, nope, sadly, tink n teddy, toaster, and tatsu mumbi! im so proud of you all, you added so much to the show and its vocals, and it wouldn't be the same without you! :D
i might gush about this amazing performance more later, because everyone involved in this: whether artist, singer, director, editor, musician, or composer, everyone's hard work shone so brightly during the entirety of this 2 hours 23 seconds duration. you are all amazing, and this amazing product that came out of so many people working together makes me incredibly happy. truly, this was beautiful.

The background memes were great Ie karl getting destroyed during the party -don't know why but it's funny, dream and gorge in the castle, and tommy complaining in the bg.
Like act one I never watched this act either I tuned in during act three with tommy's exile arc. So I actually got a lot of lore bg from these last two acts so thank you for that. Because it'll be really hard to go back an watch everyone's vods in perspective from 2020. And that ending clip with my streamer has only filled me with joy because I know next act I get Ranboo lore and Exile Tommyinnit Lore and I am so excited for that.

Oh my gosh, when I joined the discord server I was so excited to see this, and it didn't disappoint!! The voice acting was on point, the emotion in the voices was just phenomenal, the singing was beautiful, and the writing was just amazing, all paired with the wonderful art! Unpopular opinion: Schlatt *WAS* THE absolute best president L'Manburg ever had. The reason Dream originally funded his party was because he thought Schlatt was just some drunk idiot who'd weaken L'manburg and be easy to manipulate, what he got instead was someone not only equal, but actively superior to him in every way but physical, who knew exactly what he was doing when he was expanding into DSMP territory, *he was challenging Dream* , and Dream knew he couldn't do anything but play the fool in this game, because he knew he was already from the get-go in a checkmate by Schlatt, if he played, L'Manburg would rally behind Schlatt as their leader, and he'd become unstoppable, but if he DIDN'T play, Schlatt just grew and grew, so he sent someone else in to play, Wilbur, and was lucky that things worked out as well as they did, otherwise L'Manburg would probably still be alive and prospering at that under JSchlatt's rule, in a timeline where the paranoia didn't take him so hard and he didn't end up drinking himself to death.
